Big Brother 18 – Week 7 Power Rankings

Tonight was a live eviction episode of Big Brother 18. Read on to see who won HoH and where the Houseguests stand for the week.

Tonight was the sixth live eviction of Big Brother 18. By a vote of 6 – 2, Da’Vonne was evicted from the Big Brother house. After tonight’s HoH competition, Victor is the HoH. But before I get to my predictions of the upcoming week, let me discuss the events of the previous week that led to Da’Vonne’s eviction.

Da’Vonne: Da’Vonne has been a target for several weeks now; Paulie, Nicole, and Corey especially wanted her gone. Since the other targets Tiffany and Frank are already gone, Da’Vonne’s eviction was inevitable. Although she was playing too hard too fast early on, she managed to continue to survive. However, the target on her back got even bigger after Tiffany exposed her game before she left. Paulie still wanted Tiffany and Frank gone, but he became wary of Da’Vonne and she was next on the chopping block. Although Paul won HoH and originally wanted Bridgette out, he’s Paulie’s lapdog and did whatever Paulie told him to do. It was a bad game move since Da’Vonne was a loyal ally to Paul, but Paul is too much of a puppet to think for himself. If these Houseguests don’t start playing for themselves soon, they might as well just hand Paulie the check now.

ALLIANCES

After a few weeks of the house uniting to take out big targets, there does seem to be a solid alliance now. At the moment, it appears all the guys are working together. Paulie and Paul are very close and promised each other Final 2. They want to work with the guys to evict all the girls one after another. Although Paulie should be everyone’s target, they seem to be on board working with him and Paul. On the other side of the house, Zakiyah and Michelle are still close, and Bridgette is just trying to survive. And there’s still the duos of Nicole and Corey and Natalie and James. Zakiyah and Paulie have been in a showmance too, but Paulie has already said he’ll be fine evicting Zakiyah this week. So Paulie’s only true alliance is to Paul.

Now onto the Power Rankings. After a long HoH competition, Victor is the HoH. Here are where the Houseguests stand in the house this upcoming week.

WEEK 7 POWER RANKINGS

1. VICTOR – He is the current HoH and will be making nominations this week. Before he won the Battle Back, Victor claimed Paulie would be his target. It would make perfect sense for him to target Paulie and send him out the house. However, he has changed his mind and is now friends with Paulie and the other guys. Instead of targeting Paulie, he’ll probably just do whatever Paulie tells him to do. Victor should wise up and do what’s best for his game. Although he is safe now, he is going to be a big target on Thursday during the double eviction. Since he can’t compete in the next HoH competition, he could be following the person he evicts this week right out the door.

2. PAUL – Paul and Victor have been close friends since the beginning of the game. Although Paul is much closer to Paulie now, Victor still seems to trust Paul. Paul will be fine this week, and he doesn’t seem to be a target for many people in the house either. Paul will likely be one of the last few remaining Houseguests in the game.

3. PAULIE – Paulie will likely be calling the shots once again this week. It’s frustrating to see these Houseguests pretty much allowing him to run the house. If Natalie had won this HoH, Paulie would’ve finally been in danger since she seems to be the only one in the house to realize he’s a big threat. However, Paulie will once again get what he wants this week because so many of these Houseguests are playing his game instead of playing for themselves.

4. JAMES – James will be fine this week too. Victor is going to be looking out for the guys, so James can just lie low. James hasn’t been playing the game for himself lately. He took out Frank even though Frank wasn’t targeting him and he didn’t save Da’Vonne although she would’ve been a loyal ally to him. Natalie tried to convince James to save Da’Vonne, but it seems like James is fine just going with the flow and handing the win to Paulie.

5. COREY – Corey could be in danger during the double eviction, but the guys seem to be sticking together right now. He’s in a good spot at the moment, but the fact he’s in a showmance with Nicole is going to be a problem sometime soon. However, it might be Nicole taken out if the two of them are on the block, but I doubt Victor will take a shot at the Nicole/Corey pair this week. It could happen, but I doubt it.

6. NATALIE – Natalie is still a target for some people in the house, but she’s not on the top of the pecking order. However, the reason I don’t have Natalie lower is because Victor promised Natalie he wouldn’t put her on the block this week. The two of them battled it out for this HoH for over an hour after everyone else had dropped. After a tough battle and Victor refusing to throw the HoH to Natalie, she dropped. Natalie could still be a pawn if the Veto is used, but I don’t believe Victor will break his word to her. But I guess we’ll see.

7. BRIDGETTE – Bridgette is on her own now, and the guys don’t seem to be concerned about her anymore. After taking Da’Vonne out instead of her, they believe Bridgette will now be loyal to them and won’t target them if she were to win HoH. However, Bridgette is not in their long-term plans and can be used as a pawn once more, especially if the Veto is used. Nonetheless, if Bridgette can lie low this week, she should be okay.

8. NICOLE – Nicole has been a big disappointment. Back in season 16, she trusted her friend Christine and felt betrayed after Christine played a role in her eviction. She said it was a bad move for Christine to side with all the guys to take out the girls, which was true. Well….Nicole is pretty much playing Christine’s game. Anytime the girls talk about sticking together and going after the guys, Nicole runs right to Paulie and any other guys and rats them out. She’s allowing the girls to be picked off, which is not a good move for her game. And while she’s not ratting out the girls, she’s cuddling with Corey and putting the showmance target right on her back. Nicole has played a terrible game, and her chances of making it far aren’t very good. She’ll likely be the one taken out once she and Corey are finally split up.

9. ZAKIYAH – After weeks of flying under the radar, Zakiyah is now a big target in the house. Paulie and Paul have already agreed that Zakiyah and Michelle are the two who need to be nominated this week, and Victor will likely follow through with this plan. Zakiyah and Michelle were the only two who did not know Da’Vonne was the target this week, so they were blindsided after tonight’s eviction. Even though Paulie has been in a showmance with Zakiyah and has done stuff with her under the covers, he’ll have no qualms sending her right out the door this week.

10. MICHELLE – Michelle and Zakiyah have been in similar spots all season long. The only difference is that instead of the two of them being safe, they are now the two biggest targets in the house. They didn’t know Da’Vonne was getting evicted tonight, and Michelle has already cried about the possibility of being nominated and evicted this week. Since the boys all want to stick together, a girl will certainly be evicted. It could be either Michelle or Zakiyah leaving this week. Unless the current plans change, one of them will be the first to leave during the double eviction next week.

So those are my thoughts on the house dynamics this week. Thanks for reading and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
