Big Brother 18 Episode 3 Recap and Live Blog (VIDEOS)

A new episode of Big Brother 18 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

The episode begins where Thursday’s episode left off: Jozea and Paulie have been nominated for eviction. Nicole explains in the diary room that she drew a line in the sand and Jozea is her target. Jozea is ready for payback while Paulie is certain he’ll be safe this week. Meanwhile, Paul and Victor are glad they are off the block, but they think Nicole made a ballsy move by nominating Jozea and Paulie.

Da’Vonne tries to give Jozea encouragement and wishes him luck in the upcoming Veto competition. However, she’s playing him since she wants Jozea gone this week. Meanwhile, Nicole, Corey, and Paulie talk about the nominations upstairs in the HoH room. Nicole notes how angry Jozea was and she jokingly adds that Cody (Paulie’s brother) will be mad that Nicole nominated Paulie. Downstairs Jozea reveals to Paulie, Bridgette, and Bronte that he made it clear he wanted Nicole gone. Paulie is stunned, and he mocks Jozea in the diary room that Jozea shouldn’t be surprised to be nominated since he made it clear Nicole (the current HoH) is his target.

Jozea goes upstairs to the HoH room to talk to Nicole. He says he understands it’s a game, but Nicole reminds him that Jozea never asked to not be nominated anyway. Jozea said that he’s not fake and sees the game differently than Nicole. Nicole simply tells him that she wants to look out for her team, so she nominated two strong players from the teams eligible to be nominated. However, in the diary room Nicole explains that Jozea has made it clear Nicole is his #1 target, so now Jozea is her #1 target.

Later the Houseguests gather in the living room. Nicole reads out loud a message from Big Brother, and the Roadkill competition is revealed. The winner of this competition will secretly nominate a third Houseguest for eviction. The house reacts strongly to this new twist. Everyone is worried how this will affect the game going forward. Jozea is glad that this may save him, while Nicole is worried that Jozea could end up being safe.

Jozea, Paul, and Victor talk privately in the safari room and agree that Frank should be the third nominee if one of them wins the Roadkill competition. Meanwhile, James and Frank discuss that it’s imperative that someone on their side wins this new competition. Frank is especially worried about going on the block. Nicole and Da’Vonne are also worrying about the Roadkill competition upstairs. Da’Vonne notes that the returning players have the odds against them, so she later ropes in Zakiyah to her alliance. Zakiyah agrees, and she explains in the the diary room that the newbies are erratic and don’t know how to play the game. She would rather team up with Da’Vonne and her allies. Later on, Da’Vonne also ropes in Michelle to the returning players’ alliance too. Da’Vonne discusses the possibility of an eight-person alliance that includes Da’Vonne, Nicole, Frank, James, Zakiyah, Michelle, Corey, and Tiffany. Later in the evening, the eight of them meet in the HoH room and officially form an alliance called The Eight Pack.

It’s time for the Roadkill competition. Each Houseguest must individually go inside an RV outside in the backyard. They must undress themselves until they are just wearing their swimsuits while holding onto three buttons. If they don’t have the buttons pressed down, then the clock will start running faster. The Houseguest that takes off his or her clothes in the fastest time will win the competition. We see a montage of all the Houseguests attempting the competition one at a time and we hear them discuss their strategy in the diary room. Afterwards, they all gather outside the RV with tackle boxes with their names in front of them. They each find a private spot in the backyard and open their tackle boxes to secretly learn whether or not they won the competition. The winner of the Roadkill competition is Frank.

Afterwards Frank tells James that he won the competition upstairs in the HoH room. Meanwhile, Jozea, Paulie, Bronte, Victor, and Paul speculate who won the Roadkill. After Paulie leaves the room, Jozea confidently says that Paulie won the competition. Unbeknownst to them, it was Frank who won it and they don’t even consider the possibility he won it. While they’re speculating, the Eight Pack celebrate the fact that they are running the game at the moment. Meanwhile, Bridgette and Natalie talk about forming an all-girl alliance with Bronte. Bridgette clues in Bronte later, and Bronte is equally excited about this all-girl alliance. The three of them later go outside to the backyard and come up with an alliance name: The Spy Girls. They even come up with nicknames for each other. Natalie is Flirty Spy, Bronte is Wifey Spy, and Bridgette is Spunky Spy. They’re super excited about their alliance. However, the three of them are unaware that Tiffany is nearby on the hammock watching them. In the diary room, she’s amused that they formed this alliance right in front of her.

Category 4 (Frank, Bridgette, Paulie, and Michelle) were the second team to lose the first competition. As punishment, they must wear pixels. They are basically naked except for wearing pixels in front of their private areas. Later on, it’s time for the Roadkill ceremony. The Houseguests gather in the living room to find out who is the third nominee. The screen reveals the third nominee is Paul. Paul is determined to win the Power of Veto while Jozea is confident everyone in the house loves him. Frank hopes to win the Veto too, and James remarks how it’s up to the Eight Pack to decide who gets evicted.
