Big Brother 15 contestant, Spencer Clawson, is probably sorry about the tasteless jokes he made about child porn. Because, the Conway Police Department, in Arkansas, where Spencer hails, looked into it after receiving complaints.

We reported the story a couple of days ago. Spencer was hanging out in the bathroom with some fellow housemates, just  “joking” around, when he picked up McRae’s microphone (he was showering) and spoke into it. “I like to beat off to child porn. Did I ever tell y’all about that? I love it. Beating off to child porn is my favorite thing there is.”

Pretty gross! But it got worse when he added, “I love it when they’re around three or four years old. My favorite ones are when you can tell they’re in a basement.”

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Anyway, Chief AJ Gary from the Conway Police Department in Arkansas told TMZ, “The Conway Police Department was alerted to comments made. Due to the nature of the comments, our department moved quickly to look into the matter. At this time we haven’t found that any criminal act was committed.”

UPDATE: Spencer’s employer, Union Pacific Railroad, have released ANOTHER statement (They released one previously when his racist, homophobic and misogynist remarks came to light).

Due to the volume of feedback Union Pacific has received from the public about Spencer Clawson’s August 5 comments on the CBS reality show Big Brother 15, the company wants to reiterate that it has taken all the action it can under the Collective Bargaining Agreement until Mr. Clawson is released from the show. Mr. Clawson took an unpaid leave of absence to participate on Big Brother 15. Union Pacific has notified law enforcement of Mr. Clawson’s August 5 comments.

They notified law enforcement! Will Spencer’s job be waiting for him when he leaves the house?

Bonus! Or not. We now have video.

Good. Hope they trashed his computer in the process.

I still think it was a horrible joke but it seems overblown now. I don’t blame the police for looking into it but part of me feels a little bit sorry for him since I think he didn’t think though the comments and now it is affecting his life. It kind of sucks that the searched was leaked. Hopefully future reality TV stars think twice about what they joke about.

  • tripp_ncwy

I also disagree. Spencer knew exactly what he was saying. His intent may have been to say something for purely shock value but it backfired on him.

If Spencer had been sitting in a bar, made similar comments, someone overheard and reported it, the result would have been the same.

  • Montavilla

It’s better than letting people stew. What the police have basically said is, “we looked into it, folks, and he’s not a child pornographer, okay?”

Since he’s not in a position to clarify his joke, I think it’s helpful that somebody did.

  • Bugme Nomor

Unless the police find wrongdoing, his job will be waiting for him because he’s protected by the “Collective Bargaining Agreement” (union).

  • tripp_ncwy

    Spencer is toast.

  • No Thanks

At this point they should just rename the show The Darwin Awards.

  • Miss Blue

That is not accurate. He can be fired for any number of reasons but the company is waiting until he is off the show to address this. He has a right to a hearing which he can hardly attend while he’s in the BB house.

  • fuzzywuzzy

“Due to the volume of feedback Union Pacific has received from the public…”

Well, this restores my faith in humanity a bit. I’m glad to see that enough of the public are outraged at these lowlifes to have some impact. I’m sure that these companies had hoped that their employees would bring some free positive PR to their employers, but it’s turned into a nightmare for a lot of them. Good. As long as these vile scum suffer some seriously negative consequences for their hideous behavior, then I guess that’s something.

He can be fired. He can also be reinstated. And compensated for the time he didn’t work. A strong union makes it very difficult to fire anyone. I have a friend who was a mechanic for an airline. He hated management and was pro-union. But he also hated some of the people he worked with who were fired but reinstated even though they were not productive and abusing the system. I suspect the railroad workers’ union is also a strong one as the company saw fit to mention the collective bargaining agreement.

There are some things you don’t joke about and this is one of them! Would most people even think to joke about such a monstrous thing?

I would say most people would not think of joking like he did the other night.

  • MyDailyComment

They only claimed to not find evidence.

  • MyDailyComment

But in a sense its not fair to make this about his employer. He is not even at work now.

  • Montavilla

Yes, well obviously they haven’t stopped their investigation. But it’s still good that they said something to calm people down.

Because, while I have no sympathy for Spencer, it’s objectively not a good thing for anyone to be stuck in a camera-filled house, unable to answer accusations of criminal activity. And, while normally I think it’s better for the police not to make statements before even questioning a potential suspect, in this case I think it was a good idea.

  • dan

What makes him any different than any comedian that jokes about such. Nothing! You turds that are offended need to get a life! Your not living in the real world. He wasnt making he comments as himself so the was not incriminating himself, and the Conway pd ( if they really were stupid enough to investigate) are just as stupid as the morons that watch REALITY TV shows and believe they are real!!!!

  • bannanafish

I think it’s obvious that he’s speaking into McCrae’s microphone and saying outrageous things as if it were McCrae speaking. What he said was disgusting but it was very obviously making fun of McCrae, and dragging his employers or the police into it was stretch.

  • taptap

Police and FBI officials do not take child molestation lightly. It’s like saying ‘bomb’ in an airport – no matter what your intention, best not to do it.

  • Connie

Boy, this season has its share of nincompoops. I don’t want any of them to win. Amazing what is behind a pretty smile or a handsome face.

  • heapinhaystacks

I think he is a disgusting man. No respect for women or children. That he could joke about a 3 year old being harmed speaks volumes. He deserves whatever comes his way.

  • heapinhaystacks

he put himself in that house …he is aware of the cameras…he is what he is. I think he is not a good person. He has no respect for women or children . He likes to belittle everyone. He thinks he is special and intelligent. He is wrong again.

  • heapinhaystacks

If they want to get rid of him CBA or not they can make his life miserable enough He might just quit. Couldn’t happen to a more worthy contestant..
