I think the radio edit of the song is about 15-20 seconds shorter than the album version. There’s nothing missing, so I think they just upped the tempo slightly.

Ohh, this makes sense too. I know it wasn’t that much noticeably faster when I heard it on a radio song challenge last week.

Gah the video itself looks gorgeous though.

The sound was rather weird and not because it was faster. It just didn’t sound like the song sounds. I guess it sounded recorded off PA system or something. I also don’t think tongue and lip-nibbing is what happens when you’re leaving somebody behind (unless you’re a true bitch).

Yeah, that’s not how the song is going to sound. Definitely speeded up to create a slow-motion effect in the actual video. It was so funny to hear the backwards singing bits. Man, that must be hard to remember.

I think the song may be playing backwards in part of the clip, since he’s supposed to be singing backwards, etc. It sounds to me like it’s backwards when he’s walking in the woods, walking through the airport, and riding the escalator.

Looks like it’ll be a much more interesting video than LO. I hope it’s released to iTunes next week!

Oh my hell. That’s one purdy video. So, pausing the kiss mumblety times to evaluate technique, purely academic of course, I must say, A plus for Cook. Not too chaste, not too smarmy, no icky slurpy faces. Just right. Also, if you pause it at just the right spot, it looks like she’s sucking his lip. Semantically speaking. Just saw the video–love it!!! Seriously, how can anyone leave him after that tender kiss. Cook sure knows how to make love to the camera. This video means something–it’s a story and it relates to the song. Love that little peak of his “heart on a chain” around his neck while going backwards up the escalator. I am so ready to download this sucker. It’s different than the actual song which I think is great because I already downloaded the song a long time ago, so this is a different version.
