Uh Oh. Why would Chikezie blow off a court date? He may end up doing some jail time now! I hope Chikezie does not end up as another Idol casualty

Smells like more trouble for “American Idol” alum Chikezie Eze — because a judge has issued a bench warrant for the 25-year-old in connection to his cologne arrest … TMZ has learned.

According to court records, Chikezie — who’s on probation for allegedly buying cologne with a phony credit card last year — failed to show up for a court hearing in L.A. on January 14.

After the no-show, the judge in the case — Marsha Revel (Memba her?) — immediately revoked Eze’s probation and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Calls to Chikezie’s people have not been returned.

This kid frustrates the heck out of me. Get it together.

Whatever the reason, that was one dumb decision. I really hope he can get through this and get back on track.

So much for this all being a “misunderstanding” as Chikezie claimed from the start.

Question: What kind of bird can’t fly?
    Answer: Jailbird!

    Chikezie has “people”?

    Chikezie has “people”?

His heartbroken mom and dad, no doubt.

Although this doesn’t look good, I’m hoping there’s a reasonable explanation. Holding out hope for Chikezie.

I’ve never understood how people “forget” or blow off court dates. I had to appear in traffic court once so I set two alarms, got up much earlier than needed, and got to the courthouse an hour early. For traffic court. There was no way I was going to make a Judge angry with me for showing up late or not showing up at all.

LMAO I too was thinking he has people?

The only good reason to miss a court date would be hospitalization. Anything else is merely an excuse.

    Chikezie has “people”?

Didn’t he sign with a label way back when?

    eta,maybe I’m confusing him with Jason C.

Death also tends to be an acceptable reason. ;)

I’m sure his family cares, even if Idol fans don’t.

This kid frustrates the heck out of me.

How come? It’s no different from what happens to lots of people every day that we don’t care about.

Jason Castro was signed to Atlantic a year ot two ago – has an album and a couple of EPs (#16 on Christian radio right now I think). I haven’t heard about Chikezie being signed.

^^^Thanks. I remember thinking he would be putting out an album in the not to distant future (this was around 2008ish). I read on Wiki that he said there were labels interested in him but wanted him to be something’s he’s not. Could this be an effort to get an “edgier” image? Of course I have no such idea about these things but people seem to do very foolish stuff to get “creds”.

Too bad. Guy has talent. I saw him in a Michael Orland Xmas show 2 years ago with Kim Locke, David H. & Diana Degarmo.

He wasn’t “edgy” in the show. LOL

awww :( i always liked him

Well that’s what I mean. Maybe the labels want “edgy” and he’s now trying to take on a “bad boy” image. Idk, so-called “bad publicity” seems to do the trick now days for a lot of people, including Idols.

  • JudyOhio

Buying cologne with a phony credit card and not showing up for a court date somehow doesn’t sound all that “edgy” to me. It mainly sounds like he did a stupid thing and followed it up with yet another really stupid thing.

It seems strange but if it was innocent you would think he would do everything he could to clear his name.

I thought this seemed strange when it came out but I’m not sure as he should of made at least a few hundred grand after Idol including getting paid on the tour, other gigs, etc…
