This press release is the very first tangible piece of info about Anoop actually making music for the market. I am thrilled about this. I really hope it’s early spring they are talking about!

I am so excited to hear this news about Anoop! What a beautiful voice he has; he needs to be heard, especially on the radio. I hope they will include the songs he has written/co-written.

I also hope his management will get some TV appearances whereby he can demonstrate his grand sense of humor. His public image is very important. Is it asking too much for him to be clean-shaven?

Wishing Anoop the very best with his spring release!

OMGZZZZ I was just telling my lil cousin how much I wanted him to get signed this morning. This makes me happy, I liked Anoop a lot :D

That’s wonderful news for Anoop and fans (like me). Can’t wait for his single!

  • Reflections On Life

Looking fwd to Anoop having some mainstream success. He wasn’t the best AI “contestant” but he is one of their best singers. He sounds fantastic in every single post-AI vid I’ve seen of him.

  • alison8701

this is exciting. When is spring? oh that’s forever away.

tru dat. but I’m sure he’s working on all the stuff that made him just an ok contestant. Stage presence and what not.

  • druzilla

I’m confused. He’s got a plan for a single but is only signed with a “PR firm?” Ok. Sounds more like he’s doing his own thing and wasn’t signed to a major label. But let’s say there is an actual record deal’ ¦ that really only leaves Matt, right?

  • Niall

Anoop isn’t signed with a label. He simply has a public relations firm, which anybody can get if they are willing to pay for it.

  • SpenserJ

So, Anoop doesn’t have a label, or a distribution deal of any kind. So, where’s he “releasing” this single? The parking lot?

I like Anoop, but I’m not holding my breath for Spring. I’ve seen AI peeps put out these statements before and it’s a year or 2 before you see that music that was supposed to be out “right after the new year”.

  • Letitride

I’ve always thought that Anoop showed a lot of potential but that the show rattled him too much and he didn’t know how to handle it.
But he seems to be coming along – loosening up, looking more comfortable. I’d love some old-school r&b with a youthful twist and I think he could deliver that.

  • Letitride

Anoop has said that he hasn’t given up on a record deal but at this point he’s planning on taking the independent route as Elliott did.
    – I don’t recall how long it took for thngs to getting moving for Elliott – anybody ?

  • alison8701

I think Anoop was reeeeeeally holding out for a major label.. but I guess it didn’t happen and he’s going Indie.

    he’ll get it did regardless.

lol at releasing in the parking lot though.

  • maracaibo

Congrats to Anoop! I hope he does well.

Now.. This only leaves Matt now. I am so worried about Matty G! He is damn talented! Pls someone pick up Matty G now!

  • Mtlfan

Congrats Anoop!!! I want him to do well. He needs to find his niche

  • jga94

Oh good, something to look forward to….

^Yeah,I think he was holding out for as major label but that didn’t happen so he’s going the way of indie.

I think Elliott came up with a single followed closely with his 1st album early spring 2006(year after his season).

I think Anoop may be trying to go the same route.Hope he gets to have a good distributor to back his alum up.It’ll suck if he only gets to release thru iTunes or something since I think he has a LOT of fans from outside the US (ASIAN fans especially).

The best of luck to Anoop and looking forward to your future endeavors .

Sadly, this is what happened to Anthony Fedorov. We waited and waited.

I hope Anoop is soon picked up by a major label! Good luck, Anoop!

‘“ I don’t recall how long it took for thngs to getting moving for Elliott ‘“ anybody ?

Elliott’s Idol season was in 2006.

Elliott had his deal in the works in the fall of 2006. In December 2006, he announced his publishing deal with Sony and released his version of “This Christmas” as a single on Itunes.

In January 2007 the indie recording deal and distribution deal were signed. He released the first single off the album in February 2007 and the album in March 2007. Under a deal signed in maybe late 2007 or early 2008, he released a special version of the album in Japan in 2008.

Anoop has a beautiful voice, I’m sure his single will be good and I hope it does great and opens new doors for him.
