After a short post-tour vacation, Anoop Desai is heading to Los Angeles soon.   He’s moving their to pursue a music career.   Good luck Anoop!

Matt Giraud performed at a private function last night in the Napa Valley over the weekend. He was very excited to meet some swanky people like David and Victoria Beckham. He also got to network with a country “superstar” songwriter.

Tonight couldn’t have gone any better. Everyone was so excited that they’re keeping me here another day! They were a great crowd..2 much fun

Hung out with the BECKHAMS! (really nice people), Billy Dean, and Monty Powell! (country writer superstar) What an honor it was to play here

Idols get more private gigs than they publicize. The private stuff can be very lucrative….

    Me too! He’s been mingling with the likes of Priscilla Presley and the Beckhams……having connections like those will certainly help him a great deal! Matt is such a personable guy, I have no doubt these people just love him!

    I sure hope someone signs Matt because I really want to buy his album. I am so glad I saw him live because I had no idea how good he really was from the show.

    MJ, thanks for posting the Manoop news! Here’s hoping for the best for both of them. Seems like everyone from S8 (with the exception of Lil who is being quiet) has been busy working since the tour ended, so that’s great. Scott, Anoop and Megan are all headed to LA.

    Matt had some other tweets on this private show that suggest that he feels it was important to his future. Previously he used this sort of language (“BIG day”) to talk about the studio that watched his performance on Sept. 10.

    Matty G, I’m so happy to hear he’s up and running. Sounds like he is doing the right things and setting up the right network to get him further and to help him develope his strategy. He has so much talent!!
    His talent was not always obvious on the show rounds but His studio recordings are some of the better ones, other than Adams.of course!!
    I love Napa valley…..He must be having a wonderful time in a stunning
    setting……Hope he gets to appreciate some of best red wines anywhere!!

    Good for Matt! I never payed much attention to him on the AI season, but when I saw him I tour I was really shocked. His set was so much fun and very entertaining! I hope he is able to “make it” in the music business.

    Matt is a born entertainer with personality plus and killer vocals! I am very pleased at how he’s moving forward with his career. I think he’s a pretty smart guy and is going to work hard to accomplish what he wants. Nice job Matt…keep doing what your doing!

    I have tickets for his solo show in January, so I don’t think I’ll be able to swing this concert, too. But, I’m pleased as punch that he’s having this show, even if some new music gets leaked before I get to see him live.
