Anoop looks so gorgeous with the scruff and in baggy jeans and oversized shirts. Yayyyy for not having to have the TV show stylist messing with his style.

Anoop is such a charismatic performer. He is technically so very meticulous as well.

BTW, after listening to Anoop sing Be Without You about 101 times, I really can’t stand anyone else sing that song, even Lil. I hope Lil doesn’t sing it on the tour. I might have to take a bathroom break then.

He Sounded Really good!! I loved the first time he performed this (it was my favorite from him) and was so glad that he did it again.

I agree that it’s too bad they have to share but Anoop looks/sounds great. I’m going to miss him tomorrow night.

awwww..I loved “Always on my mind”….I’m really gonna miss Anoop…but I’m glad he looks alot more comfortable now than when he was being judged.

I really appreciated Anoop singing on the show, he looked and sounded great. Lil not so much. There is something about the was she anounciates (sp) her words that I think roll over to her songs, thus I think that’s what makes her singing so (bad)?

MJ, the voice over at the end of Lil’s talks says they will talk to the Idols after Anoops performance. Is there an interview with Kelly & Regis as well?

Aw, I’m going to miss Anoop. I am ok with him going out last week, though he & Matt are interchangeable to me, but he just seems to be such a cool guy… I’ll miss him on my TV!

Lil sounded much better than she did on the show. Still not OMFG AMAZING, but better.

I have to be honest, though. If I hear one more comment from Lil about what an artist she is, how she showed her artistry, that she is going to prove she’s an artist, or ANY derivative of the word art, I’m gonna cut a bitch. No foolies.

I think that Anoop looks and sounds great. I am glad that he sung “Always on My Mind.” That was my favorite performance of his on Idol and I think that was his best performance on the show.

Now *that* is the Anoop we fell in love with!

I wasn’t devestated that he was voted off because I’ve been saying for a few weeks now that he needed to get off that idol stage–away from the judging and judge’s comments, the restrictions, the stress, etc. etc. etc.

Ditto! I actually didn’t mind Matt being saved as he’s a pretty cool guy too….but all in all, the judges’ save concept just sucks! Totally messing with fate is what it is!

Anyway back to more important stuff…..Anoop! *droolling* man oh man, why didn’t they let him sing some more. It’s gonna be weird watchin AI this week for the first time without him on it…I guess it’s good for him that he is getting all this press and exposure even after he’s left.

He sings that song better than Lil does,anyway . He should have grabbed the mic to retaliate for all her “I’m a ARTIST” blathering. Apparently, he barely got a word in on Ellen and then they cut off his performance at the end of the show. Yay. I hope they don’t have to do their Idolatry interviews together.

I’m at work right now just putting my headphones on and just listening to “Always on my mind” and it is so hauntingly beautiful. Thanks MJ for posting all these videos and thanks for this awesome blog. It has made AI so much more interesting for me. Even though Anoop is gone I’m still gonna be checking in on here for my AI updates.

Also thanks for the all the impartial reviews. You have a good ear and I know some fans get upset but it’s nice that you give credit where credit is due no matter who the contestant is!!

They both sound great and I’m glad they got to sing something they actually do well. Anoop looks much better with this style and I like the scruff. I think his preppy look is why he didn’t connect.

I think Anoop sounds even better on this performance than he did on AI. I was completely dumbstruck when I saw it on tv this morning. I didn’t think I could find his voice any more beautiful…but I was oh so wrong. Someone get him in recording studio…pronto!

Thanks for putting these videos up MJ. I just wish that they weren’t lumped together during the interviews and performances. It seems that Lil speaks the longest during the interviews (or maybe Anoop is too much of a gentleman to take the spotlight away from her).

Even today on Ellen, he sang during the end credits and we didn’t get to see the whole performance!

As for Lil, go her, too! That performance was so much closer to the Lil I loved watching on Top 13 week and earlier. Granted, the lack of back up vocals was really weird, especially the way she did the song. Also, lol @ “We got realshhhhhh…..” I liked the way she censored it during her performance on Idol.

I think I’d buy both their albums. I’m not so sure about Lil if she sings like she did during Top 11-7, though.

I can’t wait for Anoop’s album!

At least Anoop got a chance to talk on Ellen even if his song was cut way too short. Cute how he fist bumped Lil after her song. He’s looking a lot better without the bazillion layers they loved to put him in.

You know it does kinda of suck that he has to share airtime with Lil, but at the same time it must be comforting to have someone with you that knows exactly what you are feeling. So all in all its not such a bad thing.

When the ‘Judge’s Save’ was first announced, I thought it was a horrible idea, taking away the concept that “America votes.” Little did I know that Anoop would be the one affected by this stupid procedure. It is great some of you can get over it. I am having a rough time of it. *sigh*

With his beautiful voice, I’d love to hear Anoop on a movie soundtrack. I am just so impressed with his performance and interview skills!

That was a beautiful performance by Anoop (Dawg). Yeah, it’s a major bummer that he’s no longer on the show, but that’s already old news. Time to get that man into a recording studio right quick like and serve us more of that smooth stuff he cooks up so well.

Agree with all about Anoop’s very infectious personality and his profound intelligence. His great articulation makes me wish to have a daily Anoop press conference in one form or the other. He will make a great spokesperson w/ ve impact if he chooses to enter into public service; however, given his passion for music, hopefully he will be heard through this medium. It will be a loss if we lose this voice to obscurity after the idol season.
