I’ve got more video from the Tim Urban, Didi Benami and Andrew Garcia Season 9 mini-reunion at Room 5 in Los Angeles Wednesday night!

I posted a couple of Tim Urban performances HERE.

Didi Benami premiered two new original songs “Crash and Burn” and “Made of Love”.  Plus, check out her cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon”.

Cool, will have to check out the Didi vids when I get the chance. Loved her potential and early performances.

Exactly the type of music that Didi should be singing. It’s too bad she didn’t stick with this on the show. I think she still has huge potential.

I always liked Didi, and these songs don’t disappoint. She needs to find songs with a faster tempo, IMO. Not “pop” tempo, just a little faster than these two.
Her Rhiannon is, to me, better than the original.

Her Rhiannon is, to me, better than the original.

That was probably among my top 3 favorite S9 performances. I floved the little clip of her doing Terrified in Hollywood, floved Rhiannon… and then everything was downhill from there haha. She was my Matt Giraud of Season 9, except worse.

Rhiannon was outstanding. All the rest sucked.

I love Didi’s voice. I really think she should leave the guitar playing to someone else – her lack of artistry on the instrument takes away from her performance. I guess I’d need to hear what her songs sound like with a great guitar accompanist to really judge. My first take is that her songs are kinda weak. Just like on the show, I think she has so much potential, but something happens in the translation that waters it down. Don’t exactly know what’s happening there, but I hope she works it out.
