America’s Got Talent, Michael Grimm Lands Record Deal

Congratulations to America’s Got Talent winner,  Michael Grimm.  He’s landed a sweet record deal with Epic records.  His debut album is due out March 2011.

Unlike American Idol, a record deal is not part of the America’s Got Talent prize package that includes a million dollar annuity and headlining Las Vegas show.  Somebody liked what they heard and signed him up.

Before he begins recording, Michael will be hitting the road with the AGT Top 10, beginning October 1 in Oakland CA.

    I had never watched AGT but tuned in last two weeks to see the little opera girl. I was so glad that Michael Grimm won and I am delighted that he got signed. I LOVE his voice and will definately buy his upcoming CD.

    LOL at the “million dollar” prize, but still a great deal.

    Congrats, Michael Grimm.
    Too old for American Idol, but it worked for the best. Every aspiring singer should try out AGT, X-factor as well as AI. He reinforced and reminded audience his sob story every time he was on, but worked.

    We get a lot of local reporting about Michael in Mississippi and, if anything, the stories of his childhood were softened a lot for TV.

    I can honestly say that there is no one that I wanted to see win a talent competition more than Michael — including my Idol fav. He is really talented and it will be wonderful to have his album. Partly because he is from Mississippi — but mostly because I love his voice and love Southern Soul music.
