Tonight, America’s Got Talent 2016 begins LIVE SHOWS. Twelve acts will compete for YOUR VOTES and the favor of the panel of judges, Simon Cowell, Mel B., Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel. The show will air LIVE from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

Host Nick Cannon takes the stage in a tan suit and some pretty crazy rows. 78 million people have tuned in to watch the auditions, Nick boasts. He introduces the judges who make their grand entrance amid a burst of pyro.

The prize is ONE MILLION DOLLARS and a headlining Vegas act. Simon is 101% excited for tonight’s show, because NOW America takes over. VOTING IS OPEN NOW! Go to NBC.Com

Jayna Brown – Singer – This young singer was Louis Tomlinson’s golden buzzer act. Jayna and her mom have had it tough. They lost their house and became homeless and now live with the grandmother. She sings a soulful version of “Make it Rain” by Ed Sheeran. The band is overwhelming her vocals. She needs to project a little more. Her phrasing is mature beyond her 14 years, though and she handled the pressure of singing live really well. Simon says “You just killed that song…you controlled the song. I wouldn’t want to be one of the contestants following you tonight. This country’s got real talent.” Heidi says she has the voice of a winner. “there’s so much maturity, so much power.” Mel says, “What a way to kick off the live shows! You were pitch perfect…you look perfect.” Howie calls her voice pure. “You’re going to make it rain for Simon and his record label.” – 1-866-602-4801

Hara – Illusionist – He’s been doing magic since he was 5 years old. His mom inspired tonight’s performance. Birds fly and explode to reveal Hara who performs some dove magic. Oh. His mom is part of the act. It’s a little cheesy, but sweet. There’s rain and an umbrella appears. He’s making his way out of the forest. Hara is telling an epic story–his journey from Japan to America. He’s riding a dragon through outer space. I bet it looks really cool in the studio. A sign appears says “Harrawood” instead of “Hollywood.” His mom appears out of nowhere at the end. Simon is impressed. “This made you…I think based on what we’ve seen, you’re headed to Vegas.” Howie says, “Welcome to Harrawood! You’re amazing.” Mel liked that he told a story. “It was absolutely beautiful.” Heidi says, “You really trick our eye and are a man of many mysteries.” – 1-866-602-4802

The Outlawz – Dance Troupe – They announce their “personalities” like a boy band would. I bet that was Simon’s idea. They’ve been getting TONS of attention from girls, says one. “We don’t have any choreographers or professional help.” No kidding. You guys aren’t very good dancers, to be honest. They take the stage dressed in matching gray suits. Their dumb hats are gone. Oh look. One dude can do a backbend. OK. They’re supposed to be ghostbusters or something? Simon buzzes them! Oh noes. Ya’ll put them through now you buzz? Simon thought tonight was “clumsy…I wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t better than what you did previously.” Mel thought something went really wrong. She thought one of them was injured (?) No. They’re not good. They never have been. Heidi thinks they upped it, but some are better dancers than others. – 1-866-602-4803

Musicality – School Choir – They come from the tough side of Chicago. A sister of one of the members was murdered a few months ago. The choir helped pull him out of depression. They are inspiring people everywhere! They sing “One Last Time” by Ariana Grande. It’s OK? I mean, they’re solid for a high school choir. The lead soloists are just OK. This group is 90% touching backstory. Mel is so happy to see them.”You light up the room…I love what you stand for.” Heidi wishes there were more outstanding solos (SHE IS CORRECT). She says it’s the best they ever sounded. Simon thinks the group has gotten “better and better and better.” He tells the director he’s done an outstanding job. “You inspire,” says Howie. Everybody is always crying in this group. – 1-866-602-4804

Lori Mae Hernandez – Comedian – She has ALWAYS wanted to be a comedian. She hangs out with her grandma’s crew and gets her material from the news. She’s only 13! She makes Oscar jokes AND THEN TROLLS TRUMP SOME MORE. OMG. Melania Trump plagiarizing jokes. If she could vote, Harry Potter would be president. “Braces are a boob job for your teeth..and I’m not ready to live that lie,” she quips. She’s a little Tina Fey in the making. Howie calls her adorable and amazing. “I don’t think one Republican is going to vote for you!” Mel thinks she’s adorable. “Well done.” Simon says, “You’re very naughty..edgy cool and current.” She does a Bernie Sanders impression while asking America to vote for her. – 1-866-602-4805

Deadly Games – Knife Act – This married couple have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. Hopefully she doesn’t become an orphan! Actually, motherless, because she takes on all the danger, having knives thrown at her. She puts a black hood over her husband’s head. Uh oh. He tosses knives at her, while she directs him. He cuts really close with one. She moves away from the board, he tosses and she has to move out of the way in order not to be clobbered. He takes the hood off, straps her to a spinning wheel and tosses flaming knives as she goes round and round. They finish the act with a kiss. This is meant to be kind of sexy and kinky. Eh. These women in peril acts rub me the wrong way. Heidi says the real star is his beautiful wife. Simon thinks it’s scary and the presentation incredible. “A world class act,” he says. Howie calls it dangerous and thrilling. “It’s important to listen to your wife,” quips Howie. Mel B. didn’t understand why she ducked. – 1-866-602-4806

JUSTIN GUARINI AS LIL SWEET. He gets a byline now!

Jon Dorenbos – Magician – Currently he’s an NFL football player trying out a new career. He was also Ne-Yo’s Golden Buzzer. His backstory is horrible. His dad murdered his mom when he was 12 years of age. “Magic has guided me,” says Jon. “That’s my mom. She’s the light that shines on me,” he says. He asks the judges to draw photos and he eventually produces drawings that match the judges work exactly. Pretty awesome. Howie calls it “amazing.” Mel can’t believe that he did what he just did! Heidi says he’s super engaging and the magic solid. Simon has no idea how he did it! “You are a real American hero…America is going to get behind you.” – 1-866-602-4807

Daniel Joyner – He’s the seventeen year old standards singer from a small town. His dad is the town preacher. He’s been dating his girlfriend for 3 years. They were elected prom king and queen. I’m sure they’ll be engaged soon. He sings “A Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and dedicates it to her. Dude is so nasally. He tries so hard to swing. But no dice. Daniel is an act that shouldn’t have advanced in the first place. And since Simon LOVES Sal, this kid has no chance. Mel thinks he’s really sweet, but she just wasn’t feeling it tonight. I knew they’d talk him down this week. Heidi calls him a “class act…I love what you do.” She reminds the audience that he’s only 17. Simon says, “You were like a lollipop tonight…you’re a good cabaret artist.” He thinks he’s better than the song he chose. No, Daniel has delivered pretty much the same performance each time he’s taken the stage. Howie thinks he’s cheesy. To his credit, he’s been saying that all along. – 1-866-602-4808

Tape Face – Mime – Tape Face takes a trip to the beach. He unearths a brochure for the Starline tour. He greets his fans on the street. Tonight, Tapey sets a stool on stage and beckons Heidi to the stage. A jar with a glob of playdough turns into the sexy scene from “Ghost.” He brings Nick out and they do a weird bit with 80’s music. I have no idea what’s going on. Howie says he turns nothing into something. Simon compares him to Mr. Bean. “I believe a star is being born out of pure and utter silliness.” Heidi liked his 1st appearance best. So did Mel B. She was left a little disappointed. The audience boos her! I hear what she’s saying. The act is already turning somewhat predictable. – 1-866-602-4809

Dorothy Williams – 90 year old stripper – She’s been dancing since 17 years of age, but gave up trying to be a star at 23. She teaches dance at a senior center. OK! She’s got some male dancers with her tonight. Nick is staring at her slack jawed. She was your golden buzzer dude. Oh look. Female dancers too. She minces around the stage until she pulls off her skirt. More mincing. Then the deal with the tassles on her boobs, which she at least managed to twirl successfully. I don’t get it. But whatever. Nick brings her flowers and she gives him a kiss. Howie calls her an “inspiration.” He makes a joke about Heidi’s clothing collection and the dancers being her grandkids. Mel gives her credit for getting up on stage and doing her thing. Heidi thinks Dorothy has a lot of hutzpah. Simon congratulates her on getting the tassels right. – 1-866-602-4810

Sila Sveta – Dancers – Sila Sveta is one of the Wildcards. The trio consists of a guy who produces the performance and two dancers. This act is like Hara, but not as breathtaking or creative. There is contemporary dancing and a big light show. Simon didn’t “like that very much…it was just a couple of guys with lasers.” He hated the music. Ouch. Howie DISAGREES. “I thought it was classic dance…like the Matrix…I thought the music added to the feeling.” Mel was confused at the beginning, then she got into it later. Heidi liked it too. Eh. I’m with Simon on this one. AGT has had a ton of acts like this. Nothing special.- 1-866-602-4811

Ventriloquist Paul Zerdin and Magician Mat Franco will both perform tomorrow night for the RESULTS.

Laura Bretan – Opera Singer – She turned 14 since her last audition. She’s Mel B’s golden buzzer. Oh gosh. This girl is so young. She’s got a lot of training ahead of her to be a world class opera singer. But what she lacks in technical prowess, she makes up in pure emotion. The former can be developed. The latter not so much. She hits a big high note to finish “The Prayer” and the crowd goes crazy. Heidi and Simon are on their feet. Laura is shaking and crying! Mel says “Where does this voice come from! Incredible and so powerful!” Simon says, “This is why we made this show so we can find people like you…you kill us with that vocal.” Heidi says she improves with a challenge. “You are really incredible.” Howie notes that the show began and ended with talented 14 year olds. – 1-866-602-4812
