American Idols Tour: Jacksonville FL

Star posted this in the other thread, but I’ll bring it here. USA Today is doing a live reporting thing from the concert tonight on the Idol Chatter blog. Sounds like things are going well so far and that the concert is almost over. Here’s the link there to read the recaps.

LOL. Okay, definitely a bigger budget this year.

An ostrich plume?? AND a chaise lounge. I think Paris’ sad little chair was the only prop last year. Trying to remember??? Yup that was it.

First time posting,first Idol concert.The welcome Phil recieved from the Jakcosnville audience was very touching.The crowd loved him…and the others.I was on the fence about going but so glad I went!!!

Jordin slipped and fell on her first number w/Melinda but they recovered nicely.Later she took off her shoes so she could run the stage.

Blake and Chris were great.Chris is a natural on stage.

I think Parisà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ sad little chair was the only prop last year.

And she had to bring her own from home.

I KNEW I was not crazy! I seriously cannot believe that I am becoming a Chris Rich fan. Cake, notsomuch. Blake and Chris separately, definitely!

Glad to hear that Phil had a great homecoming show. I heart Phil. He is really great live.

How were Sligh and Gina? Anyone else out there who went?

I thought Sligh was okay..he is still a little awkward in his movements on stage.Gina was having a great time….I guess Pink gave her the okay to do her song.

All the Idols seemed really glad to be there and were enjoying performing.Sanjaya made a great entrance and god bless him he is entertaining(and really skinny)

Lakiesha also shined on stage and had a wow moment with her Whitney song.

Kiki definitely had the wow moment of the night in Tampa. It gave me goosebumps. I had been sitting quietly during the beginning of “I Will Always Love You” but when she hit that key change spot on, I shot to my feet. Amazing.

Okay – I am seriously thinking of going to St Louis to see the Idol tour since that is the closest venue. Never been to an idol tour but this may be the year! Sarah becoming a Chris Rich fan has me convinced I need to go! And no tinfoil? Who would have thought it?

I will be the LAUGHINGSTOCK of my work but who cares?

I’m still trying to find one that I could go to, Dante. All of the close by ones are while I’m on vacation in Canada. My coworkers already know I’m an AI junkie. :laugh_tb:

Rich, when we met Gina, she said how much she loved that song and wanted to do it on the show but couldn’t get it cleared in time. She was really happy that it got cleared for tour.

And I’m glad you pointed out how skinny Sanjaya is. I forgot to mention that, and seriously the boy has toothpicks for legs.

Dante, I am happy Sarah came over to the dark side. I was getting lonely. I expect you to come over after your show too. Team RoundHead!
