American Idols Live Tour Press Day: Follow it On Twitter!

Now this is the type of news I’m looking forward to!!

I love the fact that they have an “official” tour twitter for all of them. Sweet! Just subscribed. That should be fun to watch this summer. Cant wait to find out the full set list of the show!

He tweeted today, but there hasn’t been any real news about him since that eye glass thing.

Yeah, I wonder how long it takes before they make the announcement for his record contract. He said he had a meeting over two weeks ago. It seems Adam and Allison announcements were a couple of weeks after the finale.

Actually Danny tweeted a lot! So, he is still on the planet. I kinda feel sorry for him for not getting a contract cause Allison got one! I am not a Danny fan but not a hater either. I think he can sing ballad very well like what he did on the Finale.

Adam’s was the day after Kris’ and I think Allison was a week later give or take a day.

He is still on the planet. Last night him and Matt were hanging out with Samantha Ronson. I think that him and Matt had a good time hanging out with her and really hit it off with her. I also think that she was a big fan of Matt from this season of Idol.

She told people on her Twitter that she met him and Matt, that they are cool and told her fans to follow Danny and Matt on their Twitter pages. Plus Danny is now following her on Twitter, and so is Matt.

Also,I hope that he does end up getting a record deal.

I look forward to seeing some of the interviews with the Idols today, and I like that there is an official tour page, where they can all tweet on.

Here is something else I heard that I hope is true regarding Anoop. I heard that he might be meeting Ne-Yo today. He twittered the tour drummer Aaron Spears and told him that he wanted to meet/collaborate with Ne-Yo.

The tour drummer tweeted him back and told him that he would try and set something up for him. I think maybe sometime today, because I believe that the drummer might be meeting with Ne-Yo today.

I hope that Anoop does end up meeting Ne-Yo, even if it’s only as a fan, and he and Ne-Yo don’t end up talking about possibly working together. Anoop loves Ne-Yo and wants to make the type of music that Ne-Yo does. So I hope that he does end up meeting him.

Just a quick reminder……Until the end of August, unless 19 has signed or released an Idol they are not allowed, contractually, to negotiate with any recording company not under 19′s umbrella.

So, they can’t be tweeting about meeting with someone on a professional level, or working on their album, or writing songs or signing a contract or anything like that. If they Tweet about meeting someone it will only be on a personal level.

Since 19 has released no other information about recording contracts with idols, I pretty much think it is a dead issue until after tour. It would be a little late to start the wheels in motion concerning meeting with song writers and producers with the tour basically a week away. I, therefore, don’t think we will see any albums out from anyone but Kris, Adam, and Allison in this calendar year.

Since I basically know nothing about twitter, can anyone, even if not signed up, click on the this twitter link to read updates, etc. I clicked and only saw a comment from Anoop and Megan so far. Is this all that is up at this time? Thanks and sorry for the lack of knowledge.

As far as Danny, my guess is also that 19 *will not* sign him or would have done so already. However, I bet that he, Matt, and Anoop will get deals after the 19 deadline has passed.

Danny has almost 62,000 followers on twitter and talks to his fans at least once and sometimes more every day. I’m sure he’s not allowed to say anything about any deals or professional talks at this time. He’s happy, and so are his fans.

She is a singer-songwriter and famous disc jockey who is originally from England but now lives in LA. Sometimes she will DJ famous celebrities parties and celebrations. And she used to date Lindsay Lohan.

She was a fan of Matt on Idol this season. She has Tweeted him, and one of her followers mentioned how much she likes him. She told Matt on Twitter that she is thinking about stopping by one of the shows on tour this season.

Adam mentioned he was in talks with 19 before the official signing, and he said it looked good. A couple of days later, the offical announcement came out. Danny did say he was talking to 19, but that was over two weeks ago.

Scott is always in meetings, but who know with whom? It doesn’t look like Matt will get signed because he was talking about setting up gigs in Michigan.

It seems Matt, Danny and Anoop have been hanging out together quite a bit when they came back for rehearsals. I wonder if Megan and Lil are hanging out together. I imagine Scott and his brother are together. I think Sarver hangs out with the guys once in awhile. Kris, Adam and Allison have been too busy on their albums to do much socializing with each other.

So does the media come to a certain location and interview the idols to later be aired on tv, radio and print?

I agree. I’m a little surprised wrt Danny, but with such a long delay since the “19 talks” news, I’m skeptical about him. I bet he’ll get a deal later, maybe with a smaller label, and hopefully after he’s figured out his style and direction a little better.

Otherwise, I’d say out of this season that Kradison have the best shot of doing well in the music biz. I can see success for others, too, just in different niches (Anoop for tv personality, Matt for Michael Johns’ style smaller-scope recording, Megan for acting, maybe).

I don’t know about meeting anyone professionally, but as far as I know they CAN write songs and prepare demos for labels who may potentially sign them at the end of August if 19 passes them up. I know Chris Sligh wrote and recorded most of his songs off his first album during the Season 6 tour as a side thing, so I believe this is allowed. Just sayin’.

But otherwise, they just follow your updates (they can’t direct message), and I have twitted with Michael Slezak in the past (he does read updates, so you just send them to that person, e.g., @EWMichaelSlezak). He can read his @s, so he doesn’t have to scrawl through every post. Richard Rushfield has decided to follow *me*–I am so honored, heh. It’s really nice following the difference contingencies. Lyndsay Parker, for example, is on twitter (she is the person who works for Yahoo! Music) and you can find out about forthcoming interviews, etc.

Not disputing this in any way…but unless he was released, like Michael Johns was, from his 19 AI contract who was paying for the songs and the musicians and the recording studios and the time. Did Chris have mega bucks so that he could do this? A little more info, please.

Thanks…that makes a lot of sense. I seem to remember that was done by a lot of the idols the last few years. I just didn’t think, unless they had a contract, they were actually in the recording studio.

B-roll is the stock or secondary footage TV stations tape to use as filler – usually in newscasts and morning shows. It’s what you see as the commentators break for commerical or sometimes as the credits run.

I think there might still be a chance of Danny getting signed by 19. On Twitter, Laura Salt, the reporter from Access Hollywood, said on Twitter earlier this week that Danny told her that he had meetings this week. Also, I heard in a radio interview that he did on Tuesday where he said that there was some stuff going on behind the scenes regarding his record deal.

I think there is a possibility that 19 might still sign him. They might end up passing him over, but I am not going to rule out him getting signed by them just yet.

Disaster!!! Scott and Sarver sounded terrible. I actually liked how Megan sounded. Danny and Kris were straining. Allison straining a little too. Anoop and Lil ok. Adam was the only who sounded really good. I can see why yesterday Adam thought that number needed more work.

Adam is just in a different league compared to the rest of this group. Singing Don’t Stop with this bunch makes that soooooo obvious. I can’t understand why he didn’t get more lines to sing. His voice is absolutely beautiful!!

The first LA Times clip was from June 16/17 (over a week ago). I can’t remember which day someone tweeted about it. That could be part of the difference you see.

I can’t believe that happened. How stupid can some people be? Geesh. I had a feeling Adam would be asked questions not related to the tour. I bet some people tried to sneak in questions about Hifi.

She is crushing on Adam. Nothing weird about that. Many of his female interviewers become fantards when they meet him. I think that is one reason why Adam is the IT guy; he is so charismatic.
