Forgive my fuzzed brain, Saga, but in what sense do you mean? Are you talking technique or reviewer comments?

I just think a lot of them sing from their throats, like really tensed. That is such a basic no-no in singing it’s like watching a guitar player holding his hand wrongly so he can’t play or something.

I’m from Singapore. We all speak English here and do the British English papers And yes, I’m an Adam stan.

Singapore Idol = FAIL though. I absolutely refuse to watch it.

Meanwhile, glad to hear that Adam is doing well with some people in Singapore. That’s cool. And yeah, I would love if he gets successful enough to do stuff in Europe and Asia and that his stuff does well there, though given that I didn’t see him when he was here in the US, is lame of me.

Allison has had many years of vocal training

Heh, as many as a 17 year old person can have. Lets just say she’s had vocal training.

Since she was 8 until now so to me 8 years is many years, YMMV.

Did you study music in school or take any private lessons?

I took singing lessons at 8. I’ve had a number of voice coaches. I had to try out different voice coaches until I found the right one. All of them have helped me in many ways. They’re the pieces to my puzzle and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. The one I’m with right now is Joy Grayson and she helped me with ‘Idol.’  I met her before I tried out for ‘Idol’  and she helped me with a few songs that I did on the show.

Allison has had many years of vocal training (the only one besides Adam to have that much I think) and this is where it shows vs. Danny. Once Danny starts working with a vocal coach he will do well. I think I read that Kris has also started working with a vocal coach which is good, too.

Honestly, for being a singing contest, a lot of them make really basic mistakes.

I was answering the post about Danny’s breathe control.

Danny is a bit hoarse and the breathing is very accentuated but he has a very relaxed singing. The breathing issues probably means he lacks in support and therefore sounds hoarse.

With some formal training this should be corrected. As he and Allison both have hoarse voices the fact that Allie has had formal training helps her. I am not knocking Danny, I really really liked his set when I saw him live.

That’s no typo. My recaps are quite crappy indeed, so hence they are referred to as recraps.

That photo is gorgeous! And your videos are wonderful too. I can’t believe I’m still watching these videos of Adam after 40+ shows. But each one is a bit different & he gets better and better.
