You definitely had the right seats to capture Meghan’s good side. That ghastly thing on her right arm is mostlly hidden.

Great shots of Adam. #7 in the smoke is very cool, as is the lighting in #8. The kid is photogenic.

I have heard more stories about security fussing about cameras/videos, but I’ll have to say, I’ve never had a problem at LR, and my camera is a pretty good one. Knock on wood.

Ha! unless you were caught selectively during certain sets, judging by numbers of shots you do like Adam, Mj. Maybe you even like him the most. I would say you care about this singer. Your light mocking is probably your way to keep him grounded. Assuming I guessed right I hope it will work just the way you wanted.

Nice verticals in the Adam album! Like I say, more Adam, less background can’t be a bad thing.

Almost hate to say it, but the best ones are probably of Megan. We rarely get to see her, especially that close, and she looked amazing that night. (Too bad it wasn’t an afro night, though, as we could’ve had a good look at what birds were roosting in that nest. The bird-watchers with binocs in the audience probably had a field day… literallly… but I digress…).

Just want to take a moment to squee over the SR photos. Can Allison and Adam be any more adorable together? They always look like they are having so much fun. I think this might be my favorite part of the concert.

You got some great pics, mj! Sorry you weren’t able to shake off the video nazis. Maybe it’s different from venue to venue or it depends on how close to the stage you’re seated but I didn’t have any trouble from security while I recorded videos throughout the Hamilton concert. I have the same model of camera as you. It’s bulkier than the slim point & shoots but hardly in the league of the big SLRs.

Man, Matt’s pants are tight! Megan just looked like Barbie. She looks much more beautiful when she’s without the makeup or at least with straight air instead.

Fix for Kris link. Open Adam. When the page open look for the words Photos by MJ. Click on MJ. A new screen will open with Kris. Click on the picture of Kris.

I’m pretty sure Allison knows what she looks like when she sings just as I am pretty sure whatever her face does is not something she completely controls, it’s what she feels at the moment when she’s into the music. I also love the T-Rex arm, it’s her signature move. They all have their little quirks, Kris and Adam too.

You managed to capture the essence of many of the idols performances better than many others that I’ve seen.

A big THANK YOU to conchcast for providing info on how to view Kris’ pics as I was saddened when I could not open them at first.

Since I myself have facial expression beyond the norm, I find Kris all about showing it just like he his feelin it, very real even if it isn’t always pretty. His heart shows in his face and only makes me love him all the more. :wub_tb:

If you are implying that this is the way Allison sings everything, then you are wrong, wrong wrong. Go back and look at the duet with Cyndi Lauper. Her expressions were absolutely beautiful. MJ’s photos are beautiful, but they are capturing specific moments. Cry Baby is a song of pain – and Allison captures it well. Check out videos of Janis Joplin singing it – talk about unattractive faces. I doubt that Janis ever stood in front of a mirror rehearsing her facial expressions.

One of the things that attracts me to Allison is the honesty of her emotions. She really gets into her songs, and if that results in some unusual facial expressions, so be it.

Well, I hope she enjoys looking dumb and unattractive.

Thank you jordison. They all have facial expressions while singing and what I see in Allison’s face is a lot of intense emotions. If that results in less than perfect facial expressions then so be it. It would be pretty weird for her to sing a song like Cry baby with a plastered smile on her face.

Whatever, she looks terrible. And it’s not necessary.

I hate when people confuse grimacing while singing as “emotion”-any one can make a pained expression while singing.

She’s already not a really pretty girl, and those expressions she makes don’t do her any favors.

and even during her “time after time” performance, she did her crazy arm thing. She’s just awkward, clumsy, and doesn’t know how to move herself. and she still made ugly faces.

I mean, if you look at the photos taken of her and legitimately believe she looks good– then.. that’s on you. I lurve me some anoop but I can recognize when his snarly face makes him look dumb.
