It better be full house tonight

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ACMLXLYSSX73RNYQOUZWSO2I4U Enough already!

I hope these kids get a good turnout.   I would give Utah a pass in the future.

I can’t imagine they would have a bad turnout in Jessica’s hometown.  Thanks to the live tweeters, especially Brittany.  Hope she’ll be able to do a recap for the blog as it sounds like she had a great time.

Great that the there have been more people on the twitter feed lately. Its good to get the comments of the idols performances as it happens.

It definitely was not full, but I’d say at least 80%+. The arena is an awful arena and sound sucks. Carrie barely sold that one out.

Why don’t they try to get decent arenas for the idols even if it means smaller venues. The sound is really important & idol fans deserve better than listening to the sound of Chipmunks singing-which is what some people hear from the stage or else the sound is so loud its distorted anyway.
This has been happening in certain arenas each year so I don’t know why they go back? I know cost might be an issue -but smaller arenas totally full might answer that dilemma.

Colton tweeted that he saw the video for Home and that it was incredible.

Some of these reviews are harsh.  It’s a love letter to Jessica since it’s her hometown, but he came down very hard on some of the others.  I don’t mind bad reviews, but I’m always a little surprised when it’s folks like EVP, Elise and Skylar getting slammed.  Heejun I’m less surprised since he’s probably gotten the most mixed reviews of the bunch.

Arenas can go either way.  I saw the Carrie/Bo show twice.  In Reading, PA, the echo was terrible…in Columbus, OH, the sound was crystal clear.  Of course, location can be a factor, but my locations in both arenas were similar.

The review is a little hometown cooking for Jessica…. But I must say sthat her performances have been very impressive vocally and she does command the stage… Can’t accuse her of being a ‘bot or that she is mimicking artists… The prince song is really good… I do think that prince, who is very protective of his music, would approve…

Tommyo2000, I thought Prince did approve the use of his song?

Basically, you can sing whatever you want in an arena as opposed to a TV show where you have to get the songwriter’s permission before a performance can be aired. Prince didn’t have to approve Jessica’s performance on the tour, she can just do it anyway. On the Idol tour you get lots of performances the kids wanted to do on the show but couldn’t.
