I was going crazy keeping track of which Glendale vids I’d seen/not seen etc. so I basically just gathered all the links I saw in one page for my easy viewing. Now I’ve basically got all the idols save for Ramielle (if you have Ramielle let me know the link).

LOVE! Oh, and his intro is really cool. Are there videos with the other intros? I saw still pics, but now I’m curious to see the rest of them on film.

Am I really going to be this fangirly for the next 6 weeks??? This version of Hello is even better than the Glendale one…didn’t thnk that would be possible.

I bet this continues to be such a trip for our boy.

The full-length Hello from SD was great. BJ was interesting—there were some people complaining on another board that they didn’t think that it was obvious enough at Glendale that DC was playing rhythm guitar during the guitar solo on BJ, and not the solo itself. Looks like they’ve switched up the staging on that.

Sorry can not get picture to work from computer .Does anyone here have a recap of the concert because I would like to know how they all did . Is thier video feeds of other contestants ?

Well, I’m glad they switched it up so people will shut the fuck up about it! In Glendale the lights went up which probably showed the band guitarist, and then went down again when the solo was over. What more do people want him to do. I don’t think DC would ever try to take credit for that solo…why should he?

Yeah…Hello and BJ in San Diego were fantastic…really and truly. Great sound.

I thought it was a little silly that people were complaining. It definitely looked like he was looking over at the guitarist in the Glendale video, plus every concert that I’ve been to where there are multiple guitarists, they all rock out during the guitar solo, unless whoever is playing it is 100% solo at that time.

The best version of Hello I’ve seen yet. I love the dramatic entrance with the lights!

I hope that someone posts a full version of Jason singing “Daydream” soon. I can’t believe that no one at either concert recorded the entire song. *sigh*

Silly, but not surprising. People are really looking hard to find things to complain about, and David isn’t giving them an easy target. I thought the complaints were ridiculous, because they were based on one video taken close-up, in which you couldn’t see the stage, the band, basically anything other than David. To take such a video as evidence of him “stealing the show” from the guitar player is absurd, because it’s a very narrow, limited representation of what actually took place. If this new video was also showing no one but Cook in a tight shot, you wouldn’t be able to see that the band is lit up and the guitarist clearly visible.

I cannot believe that I now know all of the words to TOML and actually sing along. I have grown to really like this song and despite my initial reaction to it, it is now on my Ipod…never thought that would happen.

Just returning to comment that I have all the idols (finally!) on blog (Glendale concert vid page), finally found the pesky Ramielle vids as well as several high quality vids by sweetersacrifice.

That’s what I love about how Cookie performs this song. It’s never the same way twice. He always comes up with creative ways to change it up everytime and still come out with a powerful performance.

Oh, Pam, thank you. Best yet. Emotion welling up in me, too. That song really does match his journey, and how he talks about how he had to bust down a wall between himself and some painful memories and how that resulted in greater connection with his audience. I’ll say it does!

Actually, that’s not the cattle-call audition, but the Fox sponsored contest that guarantees the winner a fast pass to the producers. Jordin won Arizona Idol last year. A bunch of the affiliates in different cities hold these special auditions.

Well there are plenty of posts of Archie at Rickey’s, in fact that’s all there is so that should keep his fans very happy and informed per the link posted above. I think there is one thread on David Cook there with the video from Glendale–which he credits to mjblog.

I for one cannot get enough on Cookie. His final 5 songs were a mini-concert. San Diego’s intro for David Cook – Hello — I swear it was so dramatic. He so looks like a superstar.

Gee, thanks for letting me know about Rickey’s if I want Archie news and that they only have one Cook threat there. I guess that means that this is the official Cook thread and I needn’t bother to look for info on other idols. But I wouldn’t go near Rickey’s with a 10 ft. poll and I thought MJs was a blog about the entire Idol phenom. Plus the thread is about the whole concert right? SHOW 2

Tonight was so much fun. I met a girl from Make a Wish Foundation and she said if she were any Idol on American Idol it would be me, because she is always smiling. I’ve always found that when I smile even at my lowest point in life I seem to always feel better. It’s just like laughing when nothing is funny, eventually the real laughter will set in and you’ll find that you are laughing for a reason. Your brain will automatically receive a message saying I’m happy!

Second Show San Diego was amazing! Tonight was a lot better for me. I felt more like Syesha. My hair was Syesha Hair tonight. I felt comfortable with my hairstyle. It was me and you have to do “YOU”. It makes everything better. It’s easier to give a better performance when you look and feel great! Hey even though everything might not be exactly how you want it to be you have to make the best of it and learn from it. There is a lesson in everything.

I saw so many smiling faces. I found myself interacting with the crowd more. Man, what a rush I love talking to the crowd. They are so much fun. Every city gives off a different vibe and San Diego was real cool and a lot of fun. Yay!

So, I am the Cliche Queen. But, whatever helps!
