I can’t wait to see video of the Mavid from tonight! I heard it was the front of the ship scene from the Titanic that they did tonight, with MJ as Jack and Cookie as Rose :clap_tb: I got to the cellcast late so I was wondering what all the talk about Mavid caressing each other was about, lol.

Here’s what I’m reading about the Mavid dance from Proverbial Word Nerd on d-c.org:

Yes the MAVID dance was indeed a TITANIC like gesture. Where David puts his arms out like he’s flying. It went on for a decent amount of time. It wasn’t a quick second at all! Lol It was a whole skit. MJ putting his arms around him and then David putting his arms out. Then MJ leant back a little bit. The reason why they did that because they were by the bars at the end of the stage and David was leaning over them. The other singers were getting in the way of the MAVID moment lol It was a little scary to be honest. :smile_wp:

Oh, you made me laugh!! I sympathize, truly I do, but it’s not keeping me from snorting.

I look forward to reading the recaps from Tuesday night. I wonder why the second half started about a half hour earlier than normal.

I went to listen to the live feed and Jason had already performed.

I just think that it’s kind of cool that the two of them are bothering to come up with something a little different for each show. it seems like the producers didn’t give the Idols too much room to do stuff together, so the fact that they are taking 5, 10 seconds a night to do some funny little dance in the middle of this group thingie is amusing to me. I just wish that we could get Chikezie switched over to their side of the stage. I bet that he’d be up for joining in.

Noob and Spritely– I’m glad that little quip didn’t fall flat. Channeling lines from movies and repeating them online is tricky business. People don’t hear you SAYING the words the way they hear it in the movie so the whole thing can flop in your face if you’re not careful. MJ– you draw a very bright crowd to your blog! {}

And, sadly, AINoob, no, I made the decision to stay home. My body finally gave out tonight from last night’s overwhelming activities. I fell asleep on and off on top of the covers of my bed. I neglected a lot of people who needed me but I needed to take care of me or I was one step from doing a Jack-and-Rose imitation and going under…. ;>

LOL Michael Johns had left after doing the after party, Cook doens’t come out after the shows anymore, I dunno what happened to Ramiele and Chikezie was still getting over being sick that he didn’t come out. From what the head of security man said, when he was back stage, he saw Chikezie being taken back in a wheelchair.. poor guy

First group number is Pride (In the Name of Love) for an Idol Gives Back type segment. Oh BlankSlate, I’m so sorry you missed getting to meet our Mr Cook! As for the Mavid Dances, perhaps you can take some comfort in the fact that you were at the first show where they did the Mavid Non-Dance! hahaha! I truly believe they did that on purpose, as if to say “What? You were expecting something else at this point from us? From little ol’ us? BWHAHAHAHHAHA on you guys!” Great pics and vids, folks. Thank y’all so so so much! GAWD I can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait to see them in Dallas and KC! And LOL snort snort at “my heart can’t go on!”

Great show last night. Michael Johns really hammed it up the whole way through Please Don’t Stop the Music. He did his only little dance at the beginning, carried Kristy across the stage, did the robot with Chikezie, the little ho-down thing or whatever it is with Jason, and then the whole thing with David Cook. It was awesome.

Overall, everyone was really good (to varying degrees) with the exception of Ramiele (I Want You Back was like one long shriek with awful dancing), Kristy (her two country songs sounded exactly the same to me), and Syesha (her stage presence is just bad and she still seems so insincere up there). If Chikezie was as sick as someone said, he certainly didn’t show it. He was very good. Highlight for me was Michael Johns’ set–absolutely fantastic.

The shrieks for the Davids were deafening–I don’t think I regained my full hearing yet! Interesting tidbit–Carly’s husband was in the audience and at intermission, he was mobbed by people wanting pictures (including little girls) and he seemed to be accomodating everyone.

BUT since this is the Night 2 Thread, may I ask here if anyone knows if David Cook came outside to meet and greet fans? It looks from a response a few up that he did not on Night 2 (just as he did not on my Night One). Can anyone clarify? (I didn’t go to the show last night but I wish I could have because I really =don’t= want to miss a thing.) ;>

BlankSlate, according d-c.org fans who attended, David Cook did not make it out after the show last night either, but he spent close to an hour signing autographs and taking pictures before the show.

Thanks for that clip, GwendolynD. I got a kick out of seeing the guy taking a picture with Cook He seemed really cool and comfortable with the fans, and I was happy to hear that they are “ahead of schedule” with the record. Not sure what that means exactly but it sounds like a good thing.

Oh, and security guard #5 is a cutie, I’d remember him too

…and he’s aware of that excessive “bling”.
