Archie FTW… I have no idea what to think about Paula ´s outfit… maybe my sense of style is a little wrong…

I actually saw this live. I was passing the family room and this kids were watching, perfect timing. I had no desire to sit through the entire show, even though I did see a snippet of Leo DiCaprio too :)

Evidently Archie’s look was approved because I saw him and one of the Jonas Bros on some site critiquing tonight’s looks. Arch, and the Joe Bro got thumbs up. Archie’s coming up in the world. He did take over for Pauler didn’t he? FTW!

David looks GORGEOUS! He seemed so nervous and awkward. Awww.

I think he must have been exhausted, seasonseven. Knowing this, he handled it better than I’d have done.

I am surprised to see him there in LA when he just did his Salt Lake City concert last night! No wonder he said that he hadn’t slept since last night when he was talking to Jeanette McCurdy on the orange carpet.

i love that david took the initiative to do the acceptance speech. he did a great job. yeah a little nervous, but that’s archie for ya. i’m much more awkward when it comes to public speaking, hehe. he did awesome. :)

The audience really loves David – hear the screaming throughout his speech? He was a fine representative for Idol. Paula needs to fire her stylist :)

This was great. David is so much fun when he’s loopy and wired. :) From giving a totally amazing concert in SLC on Friday night to accepting an award the next night. Hope he gets some sleep and down time before going off to Asia in a few days.

LOL It’s not that. He got slime on his hands and he was trying to get it off before shaking the other guys’ hands. You can see him apologizing for it when he got up there.

All those people he’d slapped hands with on the way up to the stage had just been SLIMED. haha! He got the slime all over his hands and then had to go up and shake hands with Chris Rock and ummmm….whoever that other guy was. haha! You can hear him apologize for it and the one guy tells him not to worry about it.

Last night would have been asking too much, but I sure would have preferred to hear David sing, rather than PCD and the Jobros….. It’s amazing that he was able to appear, and do so well, after that barnburner of a performance he put on in Utah Friday night… He’s a pretty tough young man, but it’s time for some rest David! He’s done a fine job these last 2 days cementing his status as a solo performer of merit, and being the representative for the show that provided him the springboard for his stardom.

Love that interview with Jeanette (and the Freddy-character whose name I don’t know) on the orange carpet. David was obviously tired — but he also seems pretty comfortable with Jeanette. So cool that he’s become friends with her.

I’d have loved to have heard him sing, too, but at least he got the face time on TV.

I watched a few of the other acceptance speeches, and often the people who accepted thanked the producers and creators. I distinctly remember Zac Efron thanking the creators, etc., for HSM, and finishing by thanking the fans. That’s just the way things went.

Awwww!!! David Archuleta was so cute last night! My sisters and I were screaming when he went up to present the award. Glad I got to listen to him talk instead of Paula, but why could he have performed instead of the Jonas Brothers???

For what it’s worth Jojosie (since you seem to be standing all alone), I did find the whole clip cringeworthy but I chalk it up to Archie being nervous. I do wonder what the reaction would have been if this had been Jordin instead of Archie. Would people still say it was cute and chalk it up to her being young?

He was supposed to say that. You can tell he had a list in his mind (or even on a teleprompter–it sort of looked like he was reading) of who he was supposed to thank. Plus he said “we would like to thank,” not “I would like to thank.” I think Paula jumped in early with her part (“we would like to thank you”) and he wasn’t done with the list of entities/people he was assigned to thank up there. It’s all publicity for the entities/people.

That’s what people do when they accept–they mention the creators & people involved. It has nothing to do with Archie.

I thought Archie did a great job. He pretty much kept Paula from talking, which was music to my ears.

What would any article or news item referencing David A be without the requisite criticism or snark? LOLOLOL… I’d have to do a double take the day I read anything DA related, anywhere, and there is none… hahahhaah… Kinda par for the course to see every frame of film, every grin, giggle and twitch analyzed, dissected and discussed by fans and non fans… It’s never taken personally, it just gives me a broader and different perspective of David… :cool1_tb:
