Oh. Adam. I would say something about your hair but your comment in the LA Times article just out says “I have been made fun of my whole life”. Awwwww. BUT, you do bring it on yourself sometimes sweetie!! (The same guy says he’s vulnerable off the stage. That with how sensitive he is and knowing how he has been made fun of his whole life makes you really wonder how he has the balls to go on Idol and do what he does.)

I just have to say that little cutie pie Allison looks like she is having the time of her life! She is glowing! The pic of her and Danny is adorable. David Cook and Michael Johns would have been thrilled to do this last year. Adam…. probably not so much. I don’t know if any of the other Idols this year are big sports fans, but they look like they are having a blast!

And, since Meg23 brought it up – I’d just like to say how much I hate that cartoon kid Jimmy Neutron. Every time my kids have watched that show, I’ve thought to myself “is it okay that I totally want to punch that cartoon kid in the face?” For the record, I don’t think it’s okay. And, I have no idea why I have an overwhelming, irrational hate for an animated character. Yes, I feel ashamed. But, I just had to share.

You know, as i look at that picture it occurs to me how much fun all this must be. And yet, ‘lil Rounds has COMPLETELY SUCKED for 6 weeks now and she is still in there having all that fun.

I don’t think there has been anyone since Sanjaya who has stayed this long on the show after delivering nothing but miserable performances.

Trina – Thanks for the photos from Season 7 top 5! I don’t think I ever saw those photos. Did they show any of that on the show? I was new to Idol last year and I don’t think I had found MJ’s Blog yet. I wish I had known about MJ’s last season because I was so interested in the show last year. This is the best place for all things Idol!

Oh wow. I must be looking at something different because I think Adam’s hair looks good. Him and Anoop are the best looking out of the bunch to me. Attractiveness is definitely subjective. lol

Thanks for posting that LA Times piece, jz. I think Rushfield did a great job portraying the humanity of each of the contestants. It’s easy to forget they’re real people and that they all have dreams. Very nice to read how much they seem to genuinely care about one another.

SpenserJ, I actually love Jimmy Neutron, but then again, both my boys have HUGE heads–one is quite gifted and the other one will probably be getting fashion tips from Adam in the future. I know Jimmy is just a cartoon character, but he is an iconic nerdy genius, and I guess I just much prefer him to SpongeBob and most of the other silly cartoon characters out there.

Adam’s hair does appear a tad “Neutronic” at times, but David Cook with his ginormous noggin’ is the one who sported The Neutron (Cookie-flavored) first. Adam actually reminds me more of the Yu-gi-oh! dude! :mrgreen_wp:

As for Adam being made fun of his entire life….there’s something infinitely freeing about feeling you have nothing to lose. (And I’m guessing he knows jealousy when he sees it, but is too much of a gentleman to call it what it is.)

Isn’t Adam’s hair naturally wavy? Bet the humidity at the Ravine really screws it up, both real and figuratively. And, Anoop looks awesome in his reverse baseball cap….he definitely should wear that look while singing…the green sweater of old, not so much.

Adam said that his hair was the result of black hair dye and a straight iron when someone complimented him on it. Since we know he is a natural freckled strawberry blond, I would gather his hair is a bit curly too, based on the flip at the bottom.

I can’t say I love Adam’s hair but I generally like his look because it suits him and he obviously has fun with it.

That article was so interesting. I love that they’re so close. I think it happens every year to an extent but the last 2 seasons especially. I enjoyed seeing a bit into their personalities and feelings. Anoop is such a thinker and it’s obvious it’s been a struggle to deal with what they’re throwing at him.
