i wonder why they didnt show his audition either?

The judges are ancillary to why I watch the show, so I don’t get too worked up about them as a rule. Unless it’s Simon throwing DC under the bus Top 2 night, during S7, lol. Steam still come out of my ears if I think about it too much, lol.

Looking forward to NPH though. Disappointed to find out he’s sharing an episode with another guest judge, Kevin Jonas, is it? I think NPH is going to be the best of the lot. Maybe we could get him to take Simon’s place!

umm, maybe because the TPTB seem to enjoy putting a country hick in front of the judges just for shyts and giggles. example A: Jesse Hamilton. fk, i thought she would suck too given idols history for trying to embarrass unattractive, unkept folks (remember the kid with the bug eyes) and not to mention the condescending banjo music the producers were throwing in her film montage. who knows how many Jesse types the judges have seen in the past to distort their view of Vanessa

if Kara had been looking for a true “package artist” she would have been a bigger supporter of Kris because he had the “look” and the musical ability. Yet instead, she was stuck on Danny who has vocal ability but not so much the look.

By the time we get to the semi-finals and finals, the judges pimp whomever the producers tell them to pimp. Kara was just following the party line in her critiques of Kris and Danny, IMO.

Well, I’m not on the Kara love train yet, but I do think she’s better this year than last. More confident as you said, and also more concise.

I thought it was a (relatively) good night for entertainment, but not a lot of good singing. Mallorie seemed like the only real contender to make it through Hollywood. Maybe Jermaine.

Also, for some reason I find it REALLY entertaining that General Larry Platt could audition for X Factor. XD.

And for some reason, I’m predicting an even stronger reaction than any other joke audition. More than “We’re Brothers Forever”. More than William Hung. I predict he’s gonna be on the finale like Renaldo Lapuz was. It was actually my uncle’s prediction, but I agreed.

Yes, we know that it’s better if a singer happens to look like Rihanna, but does she has to keep reminding us? And the worst thing is that she is starting to affect *negatively* on how I perceive contestants.

I rarely listen to the judges commentary. I just watched the whole Lamar Royal clip for some unknown reason but I just really don’t care what the judges have to say. I like who I like and most of the commentary is irrelevant and self aggrandizing anyway so I just fast forward through their comments.

It didn’t escape me, I just don’t agree with either post. Different strokes and all. I don’t find Kara condescending at all. I just find her and her opinion completely useless.

This is a matter of opinion. Maybe Kara liked Danny’s look and wasn’t so impressed with Kris’s therefore I get her support of Danny as having the full package. I don’t find either one of them attractive, nor do I think either one of them has the “look” so not sure where that leaves me but I think you probably get my point.
