I’m excited to hear Allison sing that…and see her in the pimp spot! Finally! She’s always been in the first half of the night so far (well, I think she was 7th during the Top 13, but that’s right smack dab in the middle lol). So it’s nice to see her get a spot later in the show.

It will be interesting to see how Matt does tonight. I think he’ll do really well with this song as long as he controls his falsetto, which has been a problem for him in the past.

I’m also keen to see Kris and if he can keep it from being boring so people will remember him at the end of the night.

Not surprised Alison got the pimp spot after landing in the bottom 3 last week. I hope she has the emotional gravitas to pull off that song. That’s been my problem with her all along. There is just a massive disconnect between her voice and her maturity.

Adam should do fantastic tonight and will probably win over some haters. Good on him.

I think Anoops choice is AWESOME. An Anoop insider, somewhere, said that Anoop doesn’t really go all out on dress rehearsals to save his voice for the performance show, so if he goes for Ooo Baby Baby it could be great and really show his upper register.

Lil = meh. If she blows it on Motown week, then she’s pretty much done. Boring song for her, and a safe choice.

I will ignore Danny and pray to the gods that he Does. Not. Dance.

Well, I got a few things right, but mostly wrong. I suggested Allison do “Heatwave”, but her choice is much braver than I thought. It will be good to hear her delivery.

I so wanted to hear Anoop sing, “Baby, I Need Your Lovin’,” I am disappointed by the comment made but hope he’ll recharge for the actual performance. Now, Paula…I hope you didn’t take notes of the dress rehearsal.

I really like Allison and I want her to be in the finale and win it all.

Yeah, well, all the “packages” they’ve tried to shove at us haven’t had a lotta takers! Jasmine too was supposed to be la whole enchilada, but in music as in life, as the Temptations used to sing, “Beauty’s only skin deep/Yeah, yeah, yeah…”

These are not imaginative choices, given the breadth and depth of the Motown catalogue. But they are voice-testers.

So once again I say “Go Kris!’. I hate the “boring” argument. So he’s cute and adorable and not a big ol’ stage hog. I love his voice, and think he’s got the best pure musicianship in the bunch so far. :clap_tb:

And though I think Scott MacI doesn’t have much time left on the show, I hope to heaven he doesn’t blow the lyrics to “You Can’t Hurry Love.” That’s what sunk poor Brandon Rogers, another singer-pianist (and a contestant I always kinda loved).

On paper, Matt, Adam & Allison made great choices. Megan’s arrangement of For Once In My Life, however, is predictable. It will probably be Ella-fitgeralish. Lil’ picked an overdone song but will surely deliver. Scott- is he serious with that one? or will be ballad-ize it up? ZZzzzZZ…. Anoop Desai? the judges will probably say it was boring. i remember latoya sang it perfectly during season 3 and she got slammed by simon, what more anoop. and michael made a total cannon fodder choice with ain’t to proud to beg. and kris, the song choice was so safe. danny, it will be good for him but cmon, there are other great motown songs out there which he could sing.
