    I agree with you, at least Matt doesn’t sound like ass on the itunes version. (But he still doesn’t sound very good, imo).

    Megan Corkrey sounds so affected in the 30 seconds clip.

    As of today not one of the performers/performances has captivated me enough to spend 99 cents.

    I thought these recordings were just from the live show and they’ll start doing studio recordings at Top 12 (thus the applause in the background)? They probably just ran them through Autotune or something so that people would be willing to consider buying the crappy sounding ones.

    I will confess to buying Anoop’s recording last week and they definitely cleaned up the vocal a bit although it was still not up to studio quality.

    They cleaned up one of Jason’s live performances last year on the itunes version.

    I agree, Matt G’s recording sounds good. They did leave in at least one of his wince-inducing notes, though.

    I still think Matt has something the other guys do not have – he has appeal. I like to watch him. The whole Hot chocolate group were great. I also really like Alison ´s voice. The first female I have liked since Diana DeGarmo and she also was 16. There is a smokiness in her voice I really like. She is effortless.

    Honestly, I found Matt’s performance this week was too awkward and uncomfortable to watch. I know this makes me sound batshit crazy and deluded (because Viva la Vida was THE absolute worst performance this week) but I still think that Matt has what it takes to win it. I like him because of the quality of his voice.

    Simon was right in dissuading him from going down the pop-poseur route. He needs to go with a more relaxed, natural sound, if he does indeed get a chance to sing at the wildcard show.
