I think they did it with Lauren last year too, but the only thing I find odd about the order of the concert is that they have the runner-up start her set when folks are still making their way back to their seats from intermission.  Not that any of them should have to deal with that really, but it seems a tad weird to give the runner-up that treatment.

Enthusiastic tweeters tonight! Love that they love everyone. Ha ha.

This is Phillip’s “hometown” show, right? Bet the place will go absolutely crazy for his set

Yeah I love when the tweeters love everybody! lol

This is Phillip’s “hometown” show, right?

I think it’s as close as there is to a hometown show for him.  More than 3.5 hours each way driving there from Leesburg though.

The tweeters were great tonight. Georgia boy, Phillip, got lots of love tonight. :)

From the one picture that Idol Nonsense posted earlier, it looked like a packed house.  I hope Phil was able to have most of his friends and family there considering it was still a good distance from his actual hometown.   But either way it sounds like it was probably the wildest show to date.  Or at least perhaps in the running with Skylar’s hometown show.

Hmmm, sounds like DeAndre has quite a bit of family from there too.

A lot of anticipation builds up for the headliner.  It’s better for Jessica to be in a spot where the audience can focus on her.  From what I’ve read, Joshua galvanizes the audience the most with “Man’s World”, so it’s best for him to ’open’ for the headliner.

I got a video of Jessica’s full set in Georgia. Haha I love Joshua and DeAndre, they added more dance moves on Proud Mary. Also, it seems like a good crowd, almost everyone was dancing

They really did switch up the choreography! I’ve seen Jessica’s set in every city, and DeAndre and Joshua dont normally dance like they did today.

Also a funny observation. 11:33 Minutes. Serious Booty Shaking from Josh and Dre, and Jessica’s checking out DeAndre’s behind.? Haha.

Thank you for the video!  Those three are so joyful and talented!

Took my hubby to the concert last night-he thought Jessica or Joshua should have won-loved everyone except for Phillip.  Josh brought the house down with This Is A Mans World-it was amazing.  Mostly sold out crowd.  Love this format way better with all the group performances.  The only thing is that the winner only comes out at the end where all the others you see all throughout.
    Very enjoyable.

wow that was pretty awesome.. seems like they’re having more fun on stage…jessica’s voice is really superb and seems to be soaring more than ever

It’s not really that big a deal to me and I know Josh has the audience on their feet every night, but I guess I would just argue that I’m not sure the audience focuses on Jessica if they are still finding their way back to their seats from intermission during her first song.  Mind you, if you are going to skip a song from her set it’s the first one.  The other two generate far stronger crowd reactions.

I watched Proud Mary.  I think the two not-so-background dancers added the extra butt shaking several shows back.  Though I don’t know if they do it every single time.  The biggest difference here is they added the bit with taking off their jackets so more attention is, shall we say, on their movement.  I’m not sure where Josh learned to move like that, but I assume DeAndre picked up that skill from years of hula dancing.

The shots of the crowd in the videos I’ve seen are great! Must reiterate how awesome all the live tweeters were last night, both during the show and at the meet & greets.

I was also at the show. I’m probably a little older than the tweeters…lol & didn’t stick around afterwards but saw a ton of people in lines waiting.
Yes, it was listed as sold out…only saw a few empty seats here & there…holds 10,000 but behind stage isn’t used. It was extremely loud!!!! And that’s for every contestant! The tweeters did a good job relaying the excitement during the show. Here are some random personal observations by friends & myself:

    1. Joshua is not as big as he looked on TV. Sings & moves great on stage!
    2. Holly is gorgeous! She was much more loose & fun on stage than on TV.
    3. Jessica’s placement is odd. Sounds great.. but I wanted her to have a bigger introduction. She just comes out and starts singing with aisles full of people coming & going. Still sounded great!
    5. It was hard to understand the words to many of the songs..but the crowd didn’t seem to care.
    6. You could actually understand the words to Phillip’s songs & he sounded even better than on TV. In N&S, he changed the words ‘Do you want to get freaky?’ to ‘Do you want to get with me?’ which caused a huge response! He also talked to the crowd more than I expected. Not seeing him early makes his intro even more dramatic!
    7. Regarding the merchandise, Jessica had the cutest t-shirt…Phillip’s didn’t look like him. But in the program, P2′s picture is drop-dead gorgeous or as the girls behind me said “Worth the price by itself!” ha
    8. Saw P2′s girlfriend during intermission on the floor talking to people…prettier in person & extremely thin.
    9. Lead guitarist of AI band, Errol Cooney, needs to be introduced! He’s fantastic during all sets. He & P2 worked well together on stage.
    10. I know a lot of people like the group numbers. I wanted to hear more songs from Erika & Elise. Both girls sounded awesome! And Erika was much prettier than I remembered.

Over-all it was Phillip’s night but Georgia loved all the idols!
