ALLISON DOES HAVE A PERSONALITY!!!!

I see it everytime I see her. Her eyes sparkle. She is just what she should be: a girl who is turning into a woman. Teen giggle offstage and a very accomplished singing woman when she hits the stage. I love her, see Allison people not only LIKE YOU, THEY LOVE YOU!!!

Oh Gosh they are all so funny. Love Adam’s CRUNK. He did that when the contestants did their little dances when they were picked. Kris Allen also did the “Funky Chicken” dance when he was picked.

I love the dancing. They are such dorks. I’m really getting on the Matt train. He’s really adorable. I honestly think he’ll come in 3rd behind Danny and Allison and will have a solid career.

After seeing the Ford video I have 2 thoughts. Matt was the only one (besides Allison and Adam0 that, to me , pulled of the costumes and the video music vibe. So his “star power” is rising with me. And second, with Quentin mentoring movie night, I REALLY hope that Allison and Adam go super funky, wierd, and OTT.

They are all funny…Matt made me giggle and i love Adam’s crumping..

Ya know…so many compare this season to season 7, with the current season leaving them longing.

I actually like so many more of the top 10 this year than I did last year. Dc was the only one I truly was taken with last year…a a bit of Castro because he reminds me of my younger brother and he gave a couple of really excellent perfornmaces…the rest meh.

But this year I flove Adam and Allison…who I think has an adorable personality.

Against my will I have fallen in like with cutie pies Kris and Matt (especially as he seems to be learning to breathe and relax.) I like Anoop too but he needs to take the overachiever stick out of his bum and relax more too.
Lil is an untrained church singer trying to do her thing, and now that she has been taken down a peg or two or, recently 3, maybe she will get it together and quit hollerin’ her songs and get in the pocket with her vocals. If she would just quit trying to be the diva,’cause that she ain’t.

So despite the quite often blatent shenanigans (sp?) of the judges and producers, I like 5 1/2 contestants this year compared to 1 1/2 from last year.

Not too shabby.

And second, with Quentin mentoring movie night, I REALLY hope that Allison and Adam go super funky, wierd, and OTT.

The dancing was awesome. Especially Stankface Adam and Scotty Hardcore (respect the dojo street sweeper, bitches.) (Krump is dancing. Krunk is, um, a state of mind. I think.)

Still not a Jillian fan, buuut, her shoes are boss.

Ace is Mr. Smoove, isn’t he? I think this TV host thing could really pan out for him.

Jillian is smarter and more articulate than she seems but hugely self-involved, in case you couldn’t tell. Until she got the AIE gig, she could not have cared less about Idol — except for her crush on Simon. Her Good Day LA co-host Dorothy Lucey is actually the AI expert on that show. Jill’s husband of two years, Grant, and toddler, Ruby, have made her a more positive, likable person. She had become so depressed and depressing on-air — downright unwatchable, actually — that I feared for her off-air.

The dancing was hilarious, and I love Scott’s Dojo Street Sweeper! :laugh_tb:

It’s great seeing Matt loosening up and coming out of his nervousness!!! Yay Matt! I like seeing the personalities of the idols. Good stuff! Go Kris!

Oh and btw, Allison’s friends (yr. ago vid) seem to adore her personality!!!

I’m really enjoying this season of Idol, more than I ever expected I would. I thought last year was great, but this year I think that the kids are really more comfortable in their own skins and let it show. I have high hopes for 5 of the 7 and I hope they succeed to the end.

I really understood what Ace was saying about contestants over-listening to judges comments not directed at them. Ya know, if you don’t have great range don’t try and push your vocals…just because someone like Adam can go up there doesn’t mean others should try it. And, just because you can arrange songs like Kris, doesn’t mean everyone has to do it…and fail. Sometimes the contestants forget it is so much better to play to their strengths and shine, then stretch themselves out of their comfort zones and fail miserably.

I’m glad to see Adam doing his self-producing stuff on TV with the hot girl DJ Mixer helping him out. I bet his apartment is the birthplace of Kiss and Tell/Pop Goes the Camera! I love those 2 radio ready songs!

Matt’s coming out of his shell and having more fun which I am thrilled about because it shows in his performance.

Loved Scott’s family harmonizing group! Maybe he and his brother should tour together! I’d personally rather see that than Scott by himself.

Haha, these guys are adorable, especially Adam, Matt and Anoop. RE: Allison’s personality, I think Simon was actually trying to give her constructive criticism rather than throwing her under the bus. Like when Simon criticized DC for lack of charisma during Top 20 week, and for being “smug” during Beatles night 2, I think Simon was trying to let her know that it’s not just about performing well, but in a way that wins over America as well.

It was muffled but I think Simon was agreeing with Randy that Allison reminds them of Kelly– except that Kelly not only killed it vocally, but won America over with her infectious personality. Randy was saying Kelly talked so much she made herself hoarse half the time, in response to Allison’s clip package where her mom said the same about her. So this may be giving Randy too much credit, but I think he’s alluding to how Allison does have that infectious personality that Kelly had behind the scenes, but it’s not coming across, and to go far in the competition, it needs to.

Ace is doing great. I only saw like a couple episodes total in Season 5, but their season’s cast seems like a lot of fun. I really like Kellie’s personality, but not a fan of the singing, heh.

I agree! And Kelly on season 1 also did not talk much when she was onstage. Now trust me, in interviews she loves to talk, but not when she was on the show. She was cautious and mostly smiled and nodded her head. She was smart and I think Allison is too.

p.s. I agree that Jillian has become almost human since she got married and had a child. She was a horrible shell of a person before (on tv I mean).

I also like Adam and Kris. Kris moves his arms a lot like me and does the chicken thing. Adam’s crump is hilarious. He has that dancer attitude, it’s like “Don’t hate”.

“Layla” – the overachiever stick, too funny. Just what I was thinking, everyone has a different perspective during the Idol experience and I felt that Anoop was overthinking things and in the same fashion having an arrogance about him, like he’s done more important things than this (what’s bigger or better being on a television show viewed by millions around the world, I’m a college graduate too but I don’t have dozens of people starting fan sites for me!). Though I do officially hate Kara for her comments to him during iTunes week. How rude!

Loooove Matt in the behind the scenes vids, super charming – I hope he goes far in this competition. I will definitely be buying his first record (and I rarely buy the winners’…ha) On the Idol contestants site, Matt says the three things that make a great performer ARE: confidence, swagger, and talent. He’s got the last 2 and I think he’s coming around on the confidence part. He just seems so nervous, I thought he was gonna cry when Sea-scuttle tricked him on last week’s result show. He’s pretty mature and respectful for being 23. He has a fun side too, I wish other guys his age could have personalities like him!!!

Well Adam and Allison are the top two for me with Anoop following. I wonder if Bollywood will come knocking on Anoop’s door now.

Allison really can belt out a song . Is it just me or does she remind anyone else of Pebbles Flintstone ? …. Pebbles or not she sure can sing.
Kellie looked great last night but the band is so loud at times it seems as if those who are performing try to sing louder to be heard. Don’t get me wrong I think that the band is great , just too loud at times.
I think Danny is fantastic but also like Chris and Allison .
