Jim’s tweets from the Britney concert are something else. I THINK he’s convinced she isn’t lip-synching, though it’s hard to tell for sure. It must be a delicate balancing act for him, given MTV’s relationship with her.

So it looks like Leona Lewis and Kris Allen are released their albums the same date.

I’m somewhat flabbergasted that it took four people to write “Battlefield.”

Allison Iraheta spent her day off in Pittsburgh Saturday in the recording studio with Sam Watters and Louis Biancaniello working on her album, set to be released in November. Watters and Biancaniello co-wrote ‘Battlefield’  with Ryan Tedder and Wayne Wilkins. They’ve also written hits for Natasha Beddingfield and Kelly Clarkson. Sam Watters is married to Season 1 Idol, Tamyra Gray.

It’s too bad Michael Johns is not going to continue his tour with Brooke White. I was hoping they would add some east coast dates. I really wanted to see them together, even though I’m dissapointed in Johns’ new cd, but I like Brooke’s, and I love “Life is Okay”

Oh well, not a fan of David Foster, so I won’t be going to that concert, even if it is in Boston.

My son was really impressed by the first pitch thing. He’s really into baseball. He also loves Battlefield. Why do I feel as if I live vicariously through my children sometimes?

Another Season 7 alum, Michael Johns will be on tour with David Foster and Friends, starting on September 21. Tour mates include: Philip Bailey from Earth, Wind and Fire, Oprah protg Charice, Chicago’s Peter Cetera plus special guests along the way. Could someone explain Cantiello’s tweets to me? LOL Either he’s breathing in too much of that smoke around him, or this is a really strange concert. People without legs on trampolines? WTH?

Who in the world spends $125 to go see David Foster and that lineup of has-beens and aren’t-nows and never-will-bees? I guess they are all hoping that Katherine McPhee shows up.

I dunno. I work for a large non-profit organization and every year they have a fundraiser and want the employees to shell out 350 bucks or so a ticket to attend the ball. This year’s entertainment was Dennis DeYoung. Needless to say, I didn’t go. :laugh_tb:

I tend to agree (and I actually like David Foster). Spend the 20 bucks for the David Foster & Friends DVD and get a much much better show for way way less.

As for Josiah, it sounds to me like Warner is trying to get whatever cash they can out of what has turned out to be a bad investment for them.

I thought Josiah had been dropped. His name is not in the list of Waner Bros artists and he was selling music in some independent way a few months ago.

In the real world, a sad story only gets you so far. Personally, I think Josiah has amazing raw talent. But, he’s a kid. Sometimes, the timing isn’t right, and you just need to grow up a little bit. It’s probably a good thing he didn’t make into the Top 24 on Idol that season. I doubt anyone outside the Idol bubble even knows he got signed. So, he won’t have to wear the stigma of “fail” when he comes back after maturing, learning, and paying his dues in clubs.

Jordin being on the “Circus Tour” is really going to help her sales. Plus seeing Britney “Perform” might help her.

I had to google who Josiah is. Then I remember once I was amazed by his talent and searched youtube for his songs…The world outside AI bubble is cruel.

As always, interesting to see the variety of opinions on this site. I think I’m in the minority in some ways – I agree that Josiah is talented, but he turned me off completely with his Hollywood week meltdown. Secondly, the new Jordin song bores me to tears., But apparently I am the only one.

lol. Britney’s concert has a “circus” theme to fit her last album. From what I’ve heard, the whole thing is more spectacle than concert.

Some other bits and pieces here: since it is past midnight at the time of this post, I can excitedly say that Phil Stacey’s cd, “Into the Light,” should be in stores today! (8/25/09). The cd can also be purchased through his official site, and each individual track can be downloaded. They are also available through iTunes and Amazon. I posted this under the Donor’s Choose thread, but I don’t know how many really saw it over there. I figured Idols Bits and Pieces was another appropriate place as well.

I stumbled across something else charity oriented that Adam is doing. He designed a silver pendant fashioned after his protection tattoo on his wrist, the Eye of Horus. It’s being sold as a way to raise money for a group called MusiCares. They have a window of time between now and 8/31 where they will sell as many of these as they can, each one with Adam’s signature on the back.

They describe themselves this way:

Kat’s new video is extremely lame. Her look is hideous and other than slithering against a wall, it is simply a bunch of still photos. At the end she is singing about losing it “all” and has a huge smile on her face and a cherry in her mouth. Talk about a disconnect!

‘Most people just didn’t get that joke,’  Cook told IdolChatter recently. ‘But he’s just a great dog. He’s on a little vacation now back in New York with a friend of mine. He’ll rejoin the tour pretty soon.’ 

I thought Dublin went back to Missouri (or wherever Cook has a house) with “Uncle Andrew” when Andrew spent a few days on tour with the band. Granted, they were in NY.
