American Idol 9 Premiers January 12, Glee Goes On Hiatus

I’m ready to move on to the next season of AI. I hope others are willing to move on as well!

Wow that is a long hiatus. It works for LOST though, so I think it could work for Glee. Keeps it fresh, and makes it more anticipated. I think it has the devoted fanbase that makes a move like this work.

So glad Idol will be back in January. I am beyond over this past season, bring on something fresh! Maybe a R&B singer!

AI–it’s gonna’ be hard to top this past season for this Arkansas girl, but looking forward to how Ellen fits into the mix.

That won’t work for me. How can I possibly get online at MJ’s after AI to talk about the show when I have Glee to watch right after! I really wish they would have asked before this scheduling change.

Lost doesn’t go on hiatus, its premiere is delayed so they can show all the episodes back-to-back without interruption, the same thing Fox does with 24.

Idol seems to be starting earlier this year and for that I say, THANK GOD.

Well this post idol season is nauseating me, so I can’t wait until the new crop of idols are before us……so I can imagine how you feel MJ. I am sorry for those who love Glee, but of course Idol takes precedents….

The first couple of months of AI eat up a lot of Fox’s prime time schedule, since they show a couple of nights of auditions/performances each week, and then add in a results show. Maybe this means they’re going back to a Top 24 and everyone performing every week in the semis this year. That would make me very happy! I will miss Glee while it’s gone though.

So Glee will be going against NCIS or NCIS LA on Tuesday? Then there is the Idol bump still NCIS sort of hold its own..

I’m looking forward to seeing how Ellen does on Idol. (I can’t believe I’m already over Paula. Fickle me.)

Bummed about Glee!

Must say I never thought I would be so happy that AI is starting again. The post idol period is even more tiring than the show and with far less rewards lol.

Thank goodness I have it on DVR…otherwise I might not live. American Idol auditions will not fill the void.

April?!? UGH… I think I seen somewhere that the DVD for the first 13 comes out Dec. 29th…..guess I’ll be watching that to get my fix. I’m thinking of forcing my husband to watch it, it always makes it better when you rewatch something with someone who hasn’t seen it before lol.

I’ll second Sarah’s question. I can’t imagine AI without chat. It just wouldn’t be the same. And yay for season 9.

Oh, Cathy I hope you are right. Season 8 was not amongst my favorites. I also hope there will be other changes made like no Wild Card and no Judge Save rule.

I missed two episodes of Glee, and hope they will be repeated. Otherwise, I hope to rent a DVD of the show. Too bad they don’t have Glee before the AI Results show on Wednesdays.

I can’t wait for Idol to start…but I don’t think I will make it that long without Glee! Two weeks was bad enough!
