The American Idol season 15 bus auditions begin this week! First stop is Thursday June 18 at Seattle WA on the west coast and Providence, RI on the east. The bus tour ends its 11 stop run on June 30. In July, the city cattle call auditions begin on July 10 in Denver, Colorado. Click this link for the FULL schedule and details.
You may be wondering, who from past Idol seasons are eligible to audition for season 15? Click to check out the full set of audition rules. For season 12, 13, 14 and 15, contestants who progressed outside of the Top 10 could return and audition again. But there is a caveat. If a singer appears on the American Idol Live tour, they are ineligible. Basically, contestants who are appearing on the summer tour (Adam Ezegelian and Savion Wright from the Top 24 come to mind) forfeit the opportunity to try out again.
American Idol’s proactive hunt for talent has become ever more aggressive and open in the last few seasons. The show has been using talent scouts, reaching out to music schools like Berklee, contacting potential talent via email etc. Here’s an interesting Facebook blurb American Idol tweeted to fans.
