Here are the American Idol 14 Top 8 Spoilers from the taping today in Detroit Michigan. via @IdolSpoilers

Eliminated Contestants and what they WOULD HAVE sung: (Via TVLine)

Savion Wright — Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”
Riley Bria — Martha Reeves & The Vandellas’ “Dancing in the Street”
Michael Simeon – Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On”
Trevor Douglas — Lionel Richie’s “Say You, Say Me”

Bleh. I had such high hopes for Savion Riley AND Trevor. Adam Ezegalian is really though to the next round. Ugh. All the contestants eliminated were sunk by song choice. Add terrible vocals to Trevor’s problems. Unfortunate. I expected Michael to leave. But I would have loved to see Savion and Riley continue in the competition. I think we only saw a bit of what either could do. Disappointed. If Trevor had gotten his vocal act together, he could have been an interesting competitor as well. I loved his arrangements.
