Approximately 6,000 hopefuls were lined up at 6 am, waiting to audition in San Antonio TX Thursday morning.  Idol auditions were last in San Antonio in 2006 for Season 6.

    Not too much of a difference from 6 years ago. Add that to the proximity for some Texans to Oklahoma City and New Orleans, these numbers aren’t too shabby. Both those cities are pretty close to Texas.

    It also looks like other ethnic groups and girls aren’t discouraged! There is a healthy mix here in diversity.

    I was thinking the same thing!  I think they may be looking for a really cute Hispanic young lady.  Then they can have Latin Week again. Oh yeah…
