American Idol 11: Nigel Lythgoe Reveals Fav Contestant, Finale Themes!

American Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, has been a chatty fellow on twitter this morning!

First, he revealed that ousted contestant, Joshua Ledet was his favorite. “I promised I would reveal my favorite when they were voted off the show so….. it was Joshua. However, I am thrilled for Jessica & Phillip,” Nigel tweeted.  No wonder Josh got all those standing ovations! Heh.

Nigel also revealed that there was no clear cut winner throughout the competition. When asked if Phillip and Jessica dominated the voting, Nigel revealed, “NO IT HAS CHANGED WEEK ON WEEK, JOSH, SKYLAR, COLTON, ELISE!]”

    With this revelation, there are now two confirmed conspiracies in AI.

    First, the rigging of votes to appear Jessica got the lowest votes. The producer wanted to create a drama and ordered the judges to use the save power in this instance. It’s a marketing strategy to up the ratings. However, the producer overlooked the consistency of Jessica’s popularity in polls. Her ‘Stuttering’ performance is one of her best earning raves from critics and media.

    Second, this admission of Nigel Lythgoe that Joshua was his favorite. The crazy 14 standing ovations made by the puppet judges for Joshua were definitely questionable. Having a SO just to be at the bottom 3 was lunatic. This proved that the judges’ judgements won’t jived with the majority. Look at Skylar, they made a hilarious SO just to be voted out the following day.

    Let’s wait for the final conspiracy…..if any.
