American Idol Top 40 hopeful for a Friday!

Gangreen29 brings us a new rumored Top 40 contestant, courtesy of JoesPlaceBlog.  Today’s hopeful is a pageant kid and reportedly a fierce competitor. Meow.

Brittany Mazur – Brittany is heavily involved in the pageant circuit. She is the current Miss Tucson. She is very pretty, and has a nice big voice. Her tone is a bit unique compared to most belter types, but it does border on approaching shrill. Supposedly Brittany has a reputation as a fierce “competitor” in the pageant world. If the drama llama is a frequent visitor to Brittany, Nigel may want her in the house stirring things up.

    OK, I don’t normally look at the spoilers list, but is Sarah Sellers from last night supposedly on the Top 40 list? I guess I want to know, so I can make sure I don’t get attached to her, lol.

    Regarding the Top40 list at Joe’s Place. I really haven’t followed spoilers over the years, so I don’t know how accurate these lists are. Does Joe’s Place has a good track record of accuracy with these lists? How do they know that these contestants made the Top 40 list?

    Hi Fuzzy, so joesplace (who I will call jp in the rest of my post lol) starts compiling lists of contestants all the way back in July. The first few leaks were from contestants spilling the beans to jp. A few of the people I profiled earlier turned out not to be top 40 contestants, because some people were giving out bad info to jjp. The top 40 now though is correct. Idol usually registers domains for all the contestants who go to Hollywood, but this year it seemed like they didn’t. Jp discovered a few weeks ago though that idol had registered domains, but not for everyone, just the top 40. A poster at vftw Gabe was able to obtain the names that hadn’t been spoiled to JP yet last week and that was how the whole list was found. That was probably more than you wanted to know lol!

    Actually I love Chess! She picked two of the best Broadway belters to cover in Sherie Rene and Judy Kuhn. *and didn’t do too well at that* I think she borrowed Idina’s outfit from the Royal Albert Hall concert though.

    MJ, Hopefully you won’t mind if I ask this here but, what happened to Travis?? I see him on the list as one of the ones that made it to at least Hollywood but, he’s not on the Top 40 list? Maybe he had a rough day & just got cut? I really had high hopes for him. Ah well. Happy for Robbie though! :)

    Without giving too much away, I have to say that I was surprised at the ones who made the Top 40 of the ones who we have seen so far.

    ETA: I noticed a cute blonde guy with shaggy hair at the very end of the AI promos that I’ve seen in the past couple of weeks. Does anyone know who he is?

    Oh, noooo! But thanks gangreen, I guess I’m happy knowing now rather than later. Interesting about the domain names, but that makes sense. There are no secrets left in the world and especially on the internet, unless it’s whether or not Harry died in the last book. LOL, and maybe even people were able to figure that out.

    I wish Nigel would provide more auditions for those that go farther into the competition. Maybe there will be a “best of the rest” episode?

    The whole pageant-y thing just doesn’t work for me. And the shrillness when she starts trying to go too high. It’s almost stabby-ears shrill, heh. She’s pretty, though!

    I don’t watch it… Idol ticked me off when they said, I was to old to try out for it,… and I have been payin my dues now for 16 years… yet, they will let a 15 year old kid get up there.
