Ashthon Jones – I featured Ashthon back in the second week of spoilers but here is a little refresher for you. Great R&B voice, the type that has been missing from idol for years. Can sing with power or with nuance. Seems to have decent stage presence, but a bit over the top. If the judges peg her as old school, she could be in trouble with the producers and viewers.

    I’m really surprised that neither Ashton nor Tatyinisa have been featured so far. I thought someone like them could be very marketable and the whole stable of producers brought by Universal skews towards RnB.

    Naima could be that contestant but she looks more like a soul/RnB type and not really pop.

    You know even before I saw that comment I told myself why haven’t they featured her or TaTynisa and I think they aren’t really looking for a marketable r&b star. All they care about is those damn 15 and 16 yr. olds which is why they showed them again last night instead of any people. This year all they going to do is focus on a hand group of people and screw everybody else like they are doing with this one. I know they do that every year but it’s more apparent to me this year.
