Looks like a good time for all especially James. It takes one to liven things up and makes for a variety of styles. I think the tour will be worth seeing this year.

Looking forward to the videos! I agree the tour will be great this year – lots of variety for everyone.

What is Lauren wearing!?!?! That shirt is not flattering! And I couldn’t help but laugh at James & Scotty’s shirts. haha Those are like their trademark shirts! Haley’s outfit is nice! Okay, I’m done being shallow for now.

I can’t wait for videos! I want to see James performing!!! haha

  • readon

    What is Lauren wearing!?!?!

An outfit obviously inspired by Spiderman.

  • johanna

I hope some videos will turn-up. I looks that the contestants had fun performing in a more relax surrounding.

  • zzatrms

That’s smart to send the top 4 to show there will be more than country on the tour.

Haley always looks nice. Hopefully Lauren will learn.

  • Willis

I first thought Lauren was inspired by the finale and dressed as Spiderman. ETA: seems I’m not alone…

Can’t wait to see videos! Somebody in another thread posted a video of Haley singing HOTRS after Idol and she made some nice changes. Can’t find the video now :( Looking forward to her changes on other songs.

  • lili_anne7

Lauren needs to go shopping with Haley. Her fashion sense is terrible. That shirt is not flattering and makes her look much older.

Haley is likely one of those performers who’ll change up songs on every performance depending on how she feels it that day — especially songs like this. She changed it up even more in her Chicago concert.

I like that the top 4 are all at this appearance. I hope there are videos.

I instantly thought Spiderman as well. What’s odd to me is that I don’t see other teens in Lauren’s general hometown area dressing like that, and I don’t see Lauren aspiring to be daring or different (in the vein of Siobhan Magnus or even Allison Iraheta) But I could be wrong on all accounts.
I was planning on attending this event until hubby came up with other plans,so I will appreciate videos when they come.

  • halo9125

I have to stop watching these videos ASAP- Lauren and Scotty are talented kids but if I hear Gone and Flat on the Floor one more time I may scream- better let it all wear off before the tour, lol.

LA stylists probably have no idea how to dress a country teen. Just as windmills suggested that a country producer would do better with Scotty and Lauren, a Nashville stylist would do better for Lauren. Her outfits scream Weho’s version of what country ought to be. I see Lauren as a teen version of a steel magnolia. Lauren, get thee to nashville or somewhere that understands country. Mama Lauren, you hear.

  • OldHag

No matter what you think of their singing – Haley always looks nice with a bit of naughty wanting to get out, Lauren always looks like she could use fashion advice, Scotty always looks like he’s on his way to a tractor pull or church, and James always looks like he’s a biker-wanna-be. I am really looking forward to the concert, if for no other reason than the diversity is refreshing and authenic.

  • Susan

LOL @ James in his shorts… his legs are as pasty white as MINE, heh.

Why not just dress as a teen-ager? Why does she have to be dressed as a country teen?
As for Haley, the girl has a great sense of style!

  • callmecrazy

Omygosh, hearing James singing “Uprising” again…Yessssssssss! Waiting patiently for videos being posted hopefully soon.

Lauren not wearing a cake dress? *shocked*

  • stwbcross

Did Scotty get a 20 for 1 deal on those plaid shirts at the Walmart?

  • Coldbluesteel

I could not care less what any of them wear. I love Lauren’s voice and I like Haley’s.

  • tinydance

Haley always dressed like a street hooker or a pole dancer. I’m surprised she cleaned up her look.

  • ptslittlecomment

In one of the recent Idoloonies segments Melinda Doolittle said the contstants have a say in how they dress, so she thought Lauren wants to dress this way.
But didn’t the contest who cawed like a crow (.Meagan ?) fight all the S8 tour to change from the pink teadress stylist had chosen for her?
IDK Someone needs to help her – unless she wants to be a Backwoods Barbie.

  • Lucy1234

Watched the video above and I don’t care how Lauren dresses cause I love her voice and sweet personality. She did great considering her voice is still healing and I thought it was cute how she introduced Scotty. Lauren is quite a natural on stage for such a young age.

  • tinydance

I remember Haley was dressing WORSE than Haley Scarnato trying to get votes at the beginning of the season. Thank goodness she changed that tramp look.

  • http://jasonlscott.com jlscott13

Ahhhhhhhhh. I absolutely have to go to the tour. No doubt about it. lol

  • Trina

James said hes bringing on tour the outfit he wore for when he sang Uprising (which I really love) so I’m hoping he cuts down on the leather jackets and sleeveless vests. I think all three need a Stacy and Clinton intervention LOL My daughter is Lauren’s age and has a figure quite similar, but she finds cute clothes that fit her well and are age appropriate. These are clothes you can get in any mall. I’m assuming the stuff Lauren is wearing outside of her time on AI she wants to wear. I blame the stylists for the tacky pageanty dresses she wore sometimes on the show.

  • tinydance

Pia dressed with more class than Haley. Haley started off dressing like a “tease” to get votes. Even her cheerleader over at MTV, Jim Cantiello, said that early on.

Haley did everything possible to stay in the competition at the beginning of the season…even dressing like a tramp and singing like she was having sex on the stage…lol

Many guys on youtube commented on that.

    I guess it worked

    ;)

  • iluvai

I like Lauren’s outfit. She looks great in red.

  • tomk

In a TV Guide article, one of the Idol stylists mentioned that Haley wanted to dress a “little sexy”, but that they were able to convince her to be bring a little bit more class with the sexiness – I think you saw that as the season went on. It is also possible that something clicked in Haley’s head as well – “Do I want people to concentrate more on my sexiness or my singing ability?” Unlike Haley Scurnato, this Haley actually has talent.

We need to remember she is a 20-year old girl with a nice look. And 20 year old girls typically like to show off their bodies. The Idol stage is probably not the place you want to do that though – and I was happy to see her tone it down a bit (Other than the Top 4 results show – but perhaps the people behind the scenes gave her a little more leeway on results night)

  • randomjoe

Haley should have gone sexy with this outfit.. It would have pushed the guys there over the edge… Too bad it doesn’t fit the venue.

    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/861/haleyreinhartamericanid.jpg/

(Outfit she wore the first time she sang blue in top 13.)

  • iluvai

Any idol’s attire can be talked about. Look at poor Lauren! lol.

I happen to agree with tinydance about Haley’s choice of outfits.

  • lili_anne7

    Scotty / Lauren
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjNzIa6HTww

After watching this video, it’s clear to me that Lauren has the better voice of the two. Scotty was “meh”, but Lauren even with her vocal chord issues has a very clear, powerful voice.

  • tomk

She likely wanted to dress sexily because she is 20 years old and has a nice body…..I don’t know of many girls her age with her type of body that doesn’t want to show some of it off. It’s really no big deal….

  • ptslittlecomment

For the record, I am not a Lauren fan or non fan. Season is over and I am totally neutral about her. But the reality is, if she is marketed to fellow teens, they will most likely be looking at what she wears – and if its not someting they admire they will talk (and laugh).

As for Haley, if you look at some of her videos prior to AI (especially the ones with her fellow teen band mates) you will see that she dressed in very short shorts before ever gracing the AI stage. Like tomk said above, I think she listened to stylists and toned her look down just a bit (not reved it up as was suggested). Regardless, her look is much more in the keeping of what I see people on their mid to late teens and early twenties wearing “down here in the South” at least.

Now, I am off to watch the videos!

  • annie12120

I like Haley’s clothing style now- but not her style of singing. Cannot stand the growling, shouting and lack of melody.

She was the only one to stop wearing those Miss America dresses, thank goodness for that! I love the black and white outfit she is wearing today
The other 3 could definitely use a What Not to Wear intervention though!

  • tomk

    Buffynut –

I never saw it as slutty either – I did notice a bit of a toned down look as the season went on, but I’d seriously have to look at the videos to see if what I was observing was correct in that regard. I don’t even know why I am commenting on it – I like her because she is crazy talented. Not because she can pull off slinky dresses.

  • lulwut

Now I really believe Kirsten that idol airline lost Scotty’s luggage. His payday can’t come sooner so the poor boy can buy some clothes.

  • sml1234

I loved Lauren in that video. I wasn’t a big fan of hers this season, but after rewatching some of her performances I’ve started to come around.

  • T

I was in Atlanta today for the concert! I continue to be very impressed with this Top 4. They were very complimentary to each other and it’s obvious they get along well.

Today, they were laid back, having a good time, and all looked relaxed. James was very much the performer, engaging the audience immediately, and obviously loving what he was doing. Haley is tiny, sounded very good. Lauren looked great and sounded good even with her voice issues. Scotty has some pitch issues but is so sweet. He’s a little guy!

Enjoyed them all! Looking forward to the tour!

Me too! Her personality turned me off at the beginning, too precocious. But then I just started to think of her as a just turned 16 year old put into an adult situation. IMO, she is a better vocalist than Scotty. I think when the show pimps someone so hard, it is an automatic turn off for me. I mean, why watch the show before the final week, since the judges and Nigel told us back in January who was going to win! Oh ya, that’s right, “I love this cheesy show!”

Lauren was my 2nd favorite from early on and I think she is cute as can be. She looks so much more comfortable on this stage and I’m sure that has to do w/ the fact that the competition is over. I am pulling for her and hope she does well in the business. I’m definitely looking forward to getting my hands on her album.

His boots don’t look so bad, but there’s too much sameness with his clothes. It’s looking as if Scotty is going to be as unimaginative as Kris was until fairly recently when it comes to what he wears.

If I could get my hands on that red on white plaid shirt Scotty has been wearing so much, I’d burn it!

  • Pam

Since the discussion is mainly about the outfits, I’ll chime in here. As far as the fashion award for best dressed, that award definitely goes to Haley! I loved the outfit she had on for the Simon Fuller event. The girl knows how to dress. I agree with Trina about the Stacey and Clinton intervention for the other 3. lol

James looked like he was really enjoying himself there. Hope some videos surface from the event soon!

  • miniglik

Ahhh! I thought Lauren’s spiderman costume was a little weird, but no no no to James’ whole…. mess. I can handle the denim vest thingy, he’s worn it enough I’m almost used to it. But paired with those capri pant thingies with the pasty white legs? Hee. Just so bad.

    Haley looks adorable.

HAHA… imagine if Scotty followed suit to the previous idol winners and tatted himself up. I’m 95% sure he’d get a tattoo of the cross and “I love Jesus” maybe in Spanish just as a shout-out to his Latino roots.

  • JudyL

    Haley looks adorable.

Yes, she is just a beautiful girl. Her duet with Tony Bennett was my favorite thing on the finale. She looked and sounded great. She is so at ease when she performs. She definitely has a career ahead of her.

Sending the four of them out to perform together is very smart… something for everyone.

  • miniglik

Someone released the numbers of how all the songs did on itunes all season and Blue was not that high.

All I’ve seen is how they’ve done post-Idol. Is there some confusion because that list includes Idol singles that were performed weeks earlier?

  • tomk

    JudyL -

Yep, sending those four out to that event was a very smart idea.

And I agree with the poster who talked about how the contestants in many cases are classier than the people who constantly criticize them. Scotty stated he doesn’t read blogs because “people either love you or hate you”. I will assume the others take a similar approach.

  • lili_anne7

Here’s a short video of Haley singing Bennie and the Jets today

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjj74Lr6iZs&feature=channel_video_title

  • randomjoe

Blue is a very “dated” song which probably appeals mostly to Pasty Cline/Leanne Rimes fans. But Haley doesn’t really take it country per se, she takes it more in a ‘blues’ direction. Yes, it’s quite difficult, but how many songs have a yodel?

That said, I love Patsy, Leanne, Blue and this part of what sold me on Haley. Any singer that can do ‘Blue’ I like and I want to hear more from.

As far as sales, as many have said, we don’t know. We can only “interpolate” from review #s, etc. However, I suspect it did surprisingly well. (In her personal top 10 of sales (2nd half though) whatever that might have been.)

Also, does anyone else suspect that sending James to this event is a signal that Interscope and/or 19m is interested in signing him?

  • smeggingnuts

James looked like he was really enjoying himself there.

Isn’t that similar to the “I had fun” meme. Lol

I agree with someone earlier it was very smart to have the top 4 to put some variety in the show.

    RE: Haleys clothing
I always thought it was more of the BRIGHT red lipstick than her clothes. But she doesn’t dress any differant (if not classier) than the early 20 somethings I work with.

  • Willis

I hope we get more performances out of the top 4. The media tours seem a bit light this year. No Larry King was a bummer. I loved those. I don’t think they’re going to do the same thing with Piers Morgan.

And, NOBODY here knows what the sales totals are for the itunes tracks this season. They keep that quiet. I’m sure if such a list was available it would be over-analyzed in the numbers thread.

    Haley always looks great.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Cool to see these kids enjoy themselves so much! :) I thought that Lauren performed very well in that video. Her voice sounded great and she seemed very natural and genuinely sweet in her banter with the audience and how she introduced and spoke about Scotty. She has a powerful voice and good range, and Scotty performing right after her showed that his voice wasn’t nearly as strong. I’m not bothered by Lauren’s onstage wardrobe (except the pageant dresses and tutus during AI!), but I think that James looks hilarious with those cut offs and sneakers! What a getup! LOL!

  • jammasta

Holy crap, from afar I honestly thought Lauren was Spider-Man. Glad I’m not the only one who thought of Spider-Man, but I thought it actually WAS Spider-Man.

Haley looks great in that outfit. James’s outfit is interesting. Scotty has a ton of plaid shirts, but I don’t think that’s a problem, I love plaid shirts. I need more.

I don’t see anything wrong with Haley’s outfit. And I was the one who said I thought her dress looked whorish during…. I forget which performance, Call Me? I redacted that statement as her dress looked fine, so I redirected it to her boots. They weren’t whorish, they just looked odd with that outfit.

And the thing I love most about Haley’s outfit is that it’s very summer-ish.

  • sml1234

Speaking of contestants and their choice of clothing…Anyone else immediately think of this?

Laruen is a cute girl, but she needs a bit of help in the fashion department. She needs to find a happy medium between the Toddlers and Tiaras cake dresses and the blowzy caftan look. There’s nothing wrong with looking and dressing like a 16 year-old.

  • Ratna12

If I could get my hands on that red on white plaid shirt Scotty has been wearing so much, I’d burn it!

Scotty actually has at least 3 different red plaid shirts. It was just that they all have that same red tone.
Yeah, I was concerned about Scotty dressed the same way that I actually googled his shirts. LOL.
His mom should buy him different color shirts, because maybe he doesn’t have the time right now.

Yep – although I won’t be going to any of the tour stops, I’ll be watching videos posted on youtube. I want to see if Pia breaks out of her shell a bit when not being judged. And I definitely want to see what James & Haley do when they are just rocking it out for their fans and not worrying about the cameras, the judges, etc.

  • miniglik

Also, does anyone else suspect that sending James to this event is a signal that Interscope and/or 19m is interested in signing him?

I don’t think so. I wish it did. At least it means he’s got some love from somebody though, if just the event planner. (And not whomever helped him pick out his knickers.)

  • tomk

I don’t think so. I wish it did. At least it means he’s got some love from somebody though, if just the even planner. (And not whomever helped him pick out his knickers.)

It would be nice (for me, given that I am fan) if James and Haley get deals out of this – but I also feel as if they would get a chance somewhere if not with Interscope. Interscope is just the nice, easy, clean way for them to get into the industry right now.
I still think they’ll work something out with both of them and Pia.

  • smeggingnuts

I think a sign they are thinking of signing James would be him having some PR training for his interviews. But that in itself wouldn’t be a big sign since personally I think its in the tours best interest for all the idol to have this to keep the buzz positive all summmer.

Even with the not-so-great video/audio quality, Haley sounds soooo good in that snippet of Blue. She caught my eye with that song when she first sang it.

I don’t think so. I wish it did though. At least it means he’s got some love from somebody though.

The reason I mention it is that there was a conversation in the IDF Haley forum where people figured out that Haley’s and James’s domains were transferred from 19e/m to umg this past wednesday. (And both point to the same IP as Scotty’s and Lauren’s sites).

While this might be a false signal, it *might* be an indicator of interest in James esp. when you combine it with this trip. (With Haley, the interest was more evident, even though still masked, between Nigel’s and Haley’s statements of recent past). (While the trip was probably a nominal cost since they were heading to FL anyway, why would they take attention away from three people they were presumably signing — there could be other reasons, but…). Of course, this is speculation but at least based on some nuggets.

Now working against this, is the fact that PiaToscanoOfficial.com was not transferred to UMG and there have been more rumors of a deal for her than either Haley or James.

So, cross your fingers and toes and hope for the best? A reason for a tiny bit of hope?

  • songsungblue

What really impresses me about Haley is how much she grew over the season. She dug down for her performances, and she made me pay attention. She’s the only one that has star quality to me. She’s very Kelly Clarkson – she has that real live girl vibe. She’s got style too, and I find her far more beautiful than Pia. Love her clothes! She sounds great here, too.

I’m never going to like Lauren’s personality, but she does have a lovely voice. It’s a shame about the clothing because she’s really not chubby at all. The clothing is making her look that way. [Please What Not to Wear crew! This girl is crying out for help!]

Oh and Scotty….doesn’t sing very well, IMO. I’m just bemused by all the hoopla over him. But it’s very nice for him, and I hope he doesn’t blow all that good will along the way.

Benny & the Jets lends itself to misheard lyrics (“mondegreen” lyrics) more than most. Frankly, I grew up with the song and was amazed when I actually understood some of them for the first time when Haley sang them.

My favorite display over confusion on the lyrics comes from 27 Dresses:

Ee! Fingers definitely crossed then. (Although I’ve never thought it particularly bad if James doesn’t get signed by Interscope. More freedom might be good for what he wants to do, if more financially difficult.)

  • Trina

Oh there’s all sorts of drama today about the whole “is 19 signing James” thing. Some fans have been absolutely convinced UMG plans to sign him or at least give him a single..combo of stuff James said right after leaving AI plus apparently his friend who he wants in this band he’s forming tweeted that they have a deal in the works). But then I guess James gave an interview the day of the finale that has some completely freaked out because he seems irritated and he comes out and says something about having to find someplace to get signed. So now there’s this belief he said something to ruin whatever deal was open to him. I didn’t see this interview so I don’t know what to make of it, but tbh I haven’t believed at all they were interested in him mainly because he’s so deadset on making a metal album and even HE has to know there’s no way in hell Jimmy is letting him do metal, kwim?

ETA: ok I just read that thread about the websites and my head is spinning oy. On one hand it makes sense but Pia not having a UMG site doesn’t make sense.

  • elior57

it would be dumb for interscope not to at least sign haley. if you go on their website for american idol you can see that she has had more plays then the rest of the contestants

I tend to think that hub-hub was just nervous fans reading a lot into very little.

Here’s the IDF thread: here. Whether it means anything or not, way to go Haley fan (satchvai) for some excellent sleuthing. (And, fwiw, the domains appeared to be updated May 25, so the day of the finale.)

  • McCreerian

I love Scotty & Lauren. Southern Hospitality at it’s best!

Me too! I am so glad they were the final 2. I know I will be hearing from these two for a long time. Country music has staying power. Just look at George Strait, Reba MacIntyre, Alan Jackson, etc. All still making music and climbing the charts after all these years.

it would be dumb for interscope not to at least sign haley. if you go on their website for american idol you can see that she has had more plays then the rest of the contestants

I agree with that sentiment – and many have speculated that the contract is waiting her signature based on quotes by her & Nigel. But until something becomes official, the fan bases will remain nervous.
I am not sure how it all works – I know Scotty & Lauren are automatic in terms of being signed. But I also thought that Interscope had some sort of “right of first refusal” on everyone else. IE, if they want Haley, they get Haley. If they don’t want Karen, they just release her, etc. Haley can’t simply sell her services to the highest bidder. I am sure someone would correct me if I am wrong on that.

interested in him mainly because he’s so deadset on making a metal album and even HE has to know there’s no way in hell Jimmy is letting him do metal, kwim?

I don’t think he is deadset on doing traditional metal – I think even James knows that he has to try to fit his music into something that is currently radio-friendly. There is nothing wrong with just doing what you do and not caring if mainstream radio ever picks up on it – but that obviously is not what Interscope is interested in. There is a compromise in there somewhere. That’s why Jimmy gets paid the big bucks – to find that compromise.

Holy Nancy Drew! Some people are dedicated. :) But I don’t know that it means anything except that they’re not dropping the option. My feeling is that they’re going to try and get singles out and test the waters. It’s fairly cheap to produce them, and it will tell them whether it’s worth it to go forward or not. I think that’s a good idea, actually. I’m not convinced that Pia is going to do more than Kat McPhee numbers, but a really good single that hits would prove me wrong.

  • alxsavage

James really needs some help with his “rocker” image. First, he appears on the Idol finale dressed as a member of Village People, now he looks like a Blink 182 fan lost in time.

  • Grammie Kari

I am also happy that all four got the chance to make the appearance. I think they’ll be fine on the tour. I hope James keeps everything in perspective.

  • http://www.comcast.net KAT80

Holly looks stunning and sounds amazing. I love her style of fashion. Lauren is not very fashion conscious so a good stylist is what she needs to keep her style current, but still young for her age. However, Lauren’s voice is great. Scotty looks like Lee, Kriss, and Cook in his plaid shirt. It works for them so I am sure it will work for him. So that leaves James. Dude, what r you wearing? I am speechless. Those shorts with his pale legs and sneakers do not give him any kind of rock look. His denim vest has “Give Metal A Chance” on the back but he is singing “Love Potion No. 9″ and “Uprising.” Why not at least one Heavy Metal song??? As far as James keeping things in perspective, he has not been doing that in his last few interviews. He continues bashing already established and iconic musicians instead of focusing on his career. If he continues, he will burn too many bridges and may not be offered anything. He needs a publicist to teach hm what and how he should respond to and what topics he should not initiate himself. If he wants to be respected by the peers in this industry, he needs to change his negativity towards these peers and refocus on his own career because it can slip away so quick. This ultimately is a business and the business side is important to the people making the money for the artists they represent, two of which James has already bashed on more than one occasion.

These kids are not looking the part (except perhaps Haley). Is 19 too poor to hire the services a good stylist?

Doesn’t this apply until end of August only? Or are they not allowed to sign with any other label at all?

I thought that Lauren performed very well in that video. Her voice sounded great and she seemed very natural and genuinely sweet in her banter with the audience and how she introduced and spoke about Scotty. She has a powerful voice and good range, and Scotty performing right after her showed that his voice wasn’t nearly as strong

Not only was Scotty’s voice not as strong as Lauren’s, it wasn’t as strong as Haley’s either. IMO those two were MUCH better based on the videos. We haven’t seen one of James yet, but I’m sure he also has a strong voice. Scotty has to perform after those 3 on the tour, so if he does not want to be bombarded with bad reviews, he needs to work on projecting his voice a little more. What does work for him though is that charm that he has.

Also why does Scotty have to bring up Jesus every time he is performing live. I mean, I have nothing against Jesus, and it’s cool that he has faith and morals, but it’s a little weird to me. I hope he doesn’t do that throughout the tour JMO.

  • Studio57

Was downloading a bunch of songs on itunes yesterda and noticed Haley has alot of songs in the top 100. Scotty and Lauren just have the coronation songs- maybe one more for Scotty. And James had none.

  • Kirsten

The reason I mention it is that there was a conversation in the IDF Haley forum where people figured out that Haley’s and James’s domains were transferred from 19e/m to umg this past wednesday. (And both point to the same IP as Scotty’s and Lauren’s sites).

That is interesting. Taken with the fact that they added James to this concert (it was originally just going to be the Top 3) does offer something to chew over.

Back in the day, I first heard about MJs because of internet domain names. Somebody had figured out (might have been MJ), that there was a block of IP addresses registered by AI sometime in November (they didn’t want people to cybersquat on the site names as the contestants appeared in the audition shows). MJ accurately spoiled the Season 5 top 24 well in advance. It was awesome.

Anyway, that is just to say that IP addresses details are important clues.

And now I feel old because Lauren wasn’t even 10 when those spoilers happened.

  • fuzzywuzzy

I agree. I noticed the same thing during the show, and now I realize that Scotty needs to find a way to project more with his voice. You’re right about his charm though, and he appears to have shed those goofy and weird stage mannerisms. Seems like a nice kid.

Also why does Scotty have to bring up Jesus every time he is performing live. I mean, I have nothing against Jesus, and it’s cool that he has faith and morals, but it’s a little weird to me. I hope he doesn’t do that throughout the tour JMO.

I’m not a Christian, but as long as anyone doesn’t use their own religious beliefs to judge others and restrict their human rights, I’m cool. I believe that Scotty is truly religious and a devout Christian (belonged to youth church group, right from the start his tweets were often in praise of/showing gratitude to Jesus), and I think that he’s just being himself. So far, I’ve got no problems with him expressing his religiosity.

  • Lexus

I’m not too worried about their attire. That seems to fix itself up over time…once the image consultants step in and Idol shells out a few bucks. I suspect the kids are on their own picking things out for themselves for now. I recall when Clay Aiken did the media circuit after the finale and (I thought) his hair looked a bit unkempt…probably because he had to start figuring out how to straight iron it himself. lol

I’m looking forward to seeing what each is wearing during the tour. That’s where the stylists really step it up. I was only ever disappointed with Archie’s ‘outfit’. I hope Scotty sticks to the nice leather jackets and ditches the plaid. :)

ETA: I just had a chance to see all of the videos and I have to say I’m so impressed with the banter btw the Idols and the crowds. They’re like seasoned pros. Scotty did especially well and seemed so at ease. He is so naturally charming and sweet. I think the upcoming tour is going to be awesome if the Microsoft event is any indication!

  • Kirsten

Was downloading a bunch of songs on itunes yesterda and noticed Haley has alot of songs in the top 100.

Do you mean top 200? I haven’t seen any of Haley’s songs crack the top 100, let alone a lot of them. Bennie and the Jets came close to getting in the top 100 on Friday. B&TJ is currently at 128.

Scotty has to perform after those 3 on the tour, so if he does not want to be bombarded with bad reviews, he needs to work on projecting his voice a little more. What does work for him though is that charm that he has.

It will be interesting to see how Scotty grows on this tour. He’s probably closest to the “Idol” ideal we’ve ever seen (somebody singing in their shower to winner. Not saying that it’s a good thing, just pointing it out). I don’t think we’ve ever seen an Idol with less performing experience in the Top 2 before. Even the other kids had years of television, talent show and performing experience.

Kris was pretty inexperienced too (had been working a little bit in bars and leading stuff in church) and his growth arc over the tour was pretty significant. Scotty seems to have a natural ability to connect to the audience, but his performance skills could use an upgrade. The tour is one of the best boot camps ever.

His second and third numbers were better than his first, so he’s working through it. Playing different types of venues requires a learning curve.

I hope he continues with vocal training because he has a lot to learn (Lauren needs to continue as well to learn breath support). I’m sometimes disappointed when I see Idols that improve with the help of the Idol coaches during their run and then fall back to old vocal faults after the show. Obviously, they have given up on the vocal training. It is important.

I would add Scotty’s personal backstory and image to the list of how hs fits the “ideal” Idol label. For some, those are as important (if not more important) than talent.

Lauren does not have more experience then Scotty either. She only sang at her local karaoke bar. I do agree that these two will probably grow as performers during the tour. James is a natural in that department, and I expect his set on the tour to be very entertaining. Haley has experience performing, so I’m not worried about her, and I’m amazed by the power behind her voice, when she’s singing out “Bennie” . Lauren and Scotty will learn, and in a year or two, they’ll be better. I see a lot of potential in Lauren especially, the girl’s voice sounds so good.

Lauren does not have more experience then Scotty either. She only sang at her local karaoke bar.

But she’s done that for years. Performing is generally a skill that takes a while to learn.

Take that stupid mic thing that Scotty used to do. You have to learn how to use a mic and he didn’t know what the hell he was doing. It’s something you have to practice and learn.

Lauren will also have to learn how to play to arenas, but I think she already understands what works with an audience and what does not. Experience covers a spectrum. One one side you’ve got Scotty and on the other end you’ve got…Adam? Lauren is closer to the Scotty end of the spectrum and people like James/Haley are closer to the Adam end of experience (maybe 3/4 of the way there?)

Lauren and Scotty will learn, and in a year or two, they’ll be better. I see a lot of potential in Lauren especially, the girl’s voice sounds so good.

Definitely. Those two will grow. Lauren’s voice does have a beautiful tone. I hope she gets the right sort of songs to utilize it. These first Idol CDs are always such a crap shoot. I’m HOPING that UMG is more dedicated to this process than Sony was (who seemed to treat the first CD as a quick cash grab…Idol CDs are like pancakes. The first one is for the dogs). It was part of the mentality they came into the contract with. I’m not sure that they initially thought any of the Idols would be consistent sellers or that the show itself would even last. UMG has seen the power of what the show can do and how better songs can help, so hopefully they have a different mind set. Lauren and Scotty both have great recording voices.

  • fuzzywuzzy

Idol CDs are like pancakes. The first one is for the dogs

    LOL! Great analogy!

  • halo9125

Funny thing about Haley- I personally think Interscope/UMG/ whomever are barking up the wrong tree if they try to market her as a contemporary pop/rock artist. I liked her a hell of a lot better in her jazz duet with Tony Bennett than anything else she did all season. Her background and training from what I’ve read ARE in jazz- that’s the direction she needs to take. I see her more as a young Diana Krall than anything else.

I like Scotty but sheesh- would it be really bad if we left before the end of the tour and get out of the parking lot early? He really needs to work on his performance skills, what he is doing right now just won’t cut it in my eyes.

  • lili_anne7

After hearing the singles they gave Lauren and Scotty, I’m not convinced that UMG will do a better job then Sony. Jimmy is even tasking pop/RnB producers to write country songs for these two. I therefore expect their albums to be full of meh songs. Of the 4, I expect Haley to have the best album.

  • Buffynut

Does Interscope have Bruno Mars on their label? I think a Bruno Mars song, for Haley, would work well!

  • Kirsten

I like Scotty but sheesh- would it be really bad if we left before the end of the tour and get out of the parking lot early?

[Just to be clear, when I say "you" in this post, I mean the global you not the OP. It's just a general rant I have and it's just easier to use the second person than use the third person generic "one"].

I hope we don’t have another year of that. I still remember being outraged at all the people who fled the concert when Jordin sang (I saw the concert on Blake’s home turf) and I didn’t even like Jordin. Fine, leave if you can apparate out of there with a minimum of noise. But if you are a Muggle who is not sitting on the end of the row near the exit, stay in your damn seat. Everybody else let you watch your favourite in peace. Let others enjoy their favourite without having their view obscured or their feet being trod upon.

LOL. I’m a tyrant on audience behaviour. I think it’s part of the social contract. I remember my sister and I went to an arts festival when we were teenagers. We ended up seeing this play about Alexander Graham Bell which to a couple of science geeks should have been Nirvana. It was the WORST thing I’ve ever seen. The actors each played 4 different roles and they weren’t convincing at any of them. It was totally confusing when AGB deaf wife would suddenly start being a little boy with absolutely no change in how she behaved other than she could hear people. And it was BORING. The audience started out packed with about 1000 people (we were lucky to get in) and the audience fled in droves. We stubbornly stuck it out because it is rude to just leave. There were maybe 14 people left by the time the curtain came up and after a quick round of applause, we all fled like scalded cats lest they decide to give us an encore.

So, I realize I’m kind of alone on this one, but I do think that people do owe it to the rest of the audience and the people performing to be respectful if possible. Sure, if your hair is on fire, leave (the flames are distracting for everyone), but otherwise, behave. IMO. LOL. It’s not that long.

But, yes, Scotty should improve his performance skills.

  • Kirsten

I know. Sigh. I still hope every year that it will get better. I’m an optimist that way.

I’m slightly more hopeful in that they brought in Mark Bright for Scotty’s single (and that shows in the production values).

  • Buffynut

But if you leave early you will miss the cheesy group number at the end!! I’m not a Scotty fan but would definitely not leave early!
However, Kirsten, for a play as bad as you said that one was, I would leave! Sometimes the producer, director, actors, etc. need to get the message.

  • Kirsten

But if you leave early you will miss the cheesy group number at the end!!

I love the cheesy group number. It better not be BTW. I’m SO over that song.

Sometimes the producer, director, actors, etc. need to get the message.

The actors were trying, bless their hearts. They just sucked.

LOL. Anyway, my sister and I still laugh ourselves silly at the absurdity of it all. We’d been peevish with each other before the play, but we were brothers in arms by the end. At first, after the play, we were shell-shocked, then we ranted in an esprit de corps, and then we just started laughing. At least we got a story out of it.

  • halo9125

LOL @ Kirsten- not to worry, where we are sitting at the Nassau Coliseum, you take your life in your hands getting to and leaving your seat- I’m not going anywhere- besides, I agree, I also think it’s horribly rude.

  • mmb

Nice that they are getting more than just the top 2 out and about right away with performing opportunities. As for idol debut CDs, they havent all been for the dogs. I don’t think Carrie or daughtrys first CDs, which each spawned multiple hit singles and Grammy nominations were bad CDs. Adams FYE got mostly good to great reviews, was mentioned as a possible best pop vocal album Grammy nominee and (one single) did lead to a Grammy nom. Jordins debut cd spawned multiple hit singles. It’s not impossible to put out a good quality debut cd- but it is difficult no doubt

  • halo9125

Wait- there’s a final, cheesy group number? I would never miss that, I love those things, lol. (and no sarcasm intended!)

And why would one expect Haley to have the best album. If one doesn’t have faith in what the label will do with the albums for the winner and runner-up, why does one think they will put more into the 3d place finisher’s album. I realize that in Season 5 they put all their efforts into Daughtry’s album because they did not favor the winner BUT I have not gotten the impression at all that UMG favors Haley over Scotty and Lauren.

T – thanks for the recap! It’s nice to hear how the Top 4 interacted, being complimentary toward each other and getting along. There are so often fabricated wars between contestants, which then turn into very ugly fanwars.

The reason why I think Haley’s album will be the best out of the 4 is because Interscope has more pop/RnB artists. I think Jimmy’s producers will work better with artists such as Haley or Pia because they are within their wheelhouse. So I expect Haley’s album to be decent.

But when I hear that Rodney Jerkins or Tricky stewart are writing country songs for Lauren and Scotty, that worries me a little. I would prefer those two get sent to Nashville to work with country producers that actually know what they are doing.

  • luvmy5guys

I have no worries about James and I just pray that he will escape 19.. I would love to see him just settle nicely onto and independant label and grow his career. It isnt like landing a major label has given all the others a direct route to major success. I want James to do his thing, he will get himself a following (btw he already has a good start on that).. if he never makes pop radio who cares there are hundreds of successful rock/metal bands who sell great and never get heard on pop radio. I would hade to see him have to sell out and lose any little tiny rock cred he might have left after idol just to get on top 40 radio and the mainstream version of music success

  • argie

I gotta say as a non-Durbin fan… stripped of his pyrotechnics and lighting I liked his “Love Potion No 9″ soooo much better than when he did it on Idol.

Haley cant sell more records than the other three..the earlier her fans realize that the better instead of being delusional..

  • Susan

Eh, better than nothing, but most of the Muse song was missing from the compilation!

Gotta say, from the way James was introducing Haley, I think he wants Ryan’s job lol.

  • Moria Polonius

Haley cant sell more records than the other three..the earlier her fans realize that the better instead of being delusional..

Why can’t she? She wouldn’t be the first lower-place finisher to sell more than a higher-place finisher. I’m not saying she WILL sell more, since I don’t have my crystal ball right now, but Haley’s talented and marketable enough to sell well. JMO, of course.

  • Maura73

I have no interest in Scotty and Lauren. Country is a genre I can live without.

Haley is more marketable than James going by vocals, genre, looks, personality. Unlike James, she can go top 40, and that’s where the money is.

James reminds me of Susan Boyle. Like Boyle, he’s got vocal issues singing live, gives weird interviews, and his preferred genre doesn’t fit modern radio. Like Boyle, he has the best backstory of the lot. In Boyle’s case, however, her backstory, fans, and genre meshed perfectly. Just a feeling, but James’s preferred genre, metal, might not be a good fit for his fans. His idol roots will make it very, very difficult for metal fans to accept him. I suppose he can do HAC soft rock, but I don’t know if he’d be happy or willing to go that route.

  • SparklesATL

Why no videos of James or am I missing something?

I was up and down P’tree road between Lenox and Piedmont yesterday and I can’t believe I didn’t know about this! I would have certainly gone.

She wouldn’t be the first lower-place finisher to sell more than a higher-place finisher. I’m not saying she WILL sell more, since I don’t have my crystal ball right now, but Haley’s talented and marketable enough to sell well. JMO, of course.

She wouldn’t be, but if you take into consideration all of the non-first place winners over the last 10 years, and I guess even the winners, chances are none of them will have really great career a la Carrie Underwood. That doesn’t mean they won’t have a good career in the entertainment industry. It’s just fruitless to say one or the other will do better. History tells us that they will either have a decent career in entertainment or they will join the rest of us in the rat race.

The only “superstars” of Idol I can think of at the moment are Carrie, JHud, Daughtry and Kelly. Out of the 100 idols (10 years x top 10) that makes the odds somewhere around 1 in 25 that they will make it to superstar status.

  • lili_anne7

Haley cant sell more records than the other three..the earlier her fans realize that the better instead of being delusional..

The only viable Pop/ Top 40 artists that Jimmy Iovine has this year is Haley. I just don’t see James selling many records, and Pia could do ok depending on her songs, but her voice is not very distinctive. Haley has the most unique voice, and she’s the only one I see selling records for Interscope. They will also probably try to get a crossover hit for Lauren. IMO, Haley and Lauren are the only one’s I can see having some kind of success in the pop world.

  • Tess

The only “superstars” of Idol I can think of at the moment are Carrie, JHud, Daughtry and Kelly.

I wouldn’t put JHud into the “superstars” of Idol. Her success never came from the show…she wasn’t even remotely successful until years later when she got to play the amazing role of Eppie and was awarded an Oscar for her effort. Sure she was on Idol, but I would never count her as an idol success story…that is a bit of revisionist history. As for the others they have had from 5 to 10 years to build their status. Let’s visit this issue again in another 5 years and see who have also emerged from the pack…we might be surprised.

  • songsungblue

I just don’t know if it’s possible to say how anyone will do out of the ‘bubble’ at this point. [Except for Scotty, the Teflon Country Boi - I think he could burp into the mike and sing 'I'm a Little Teacup' and sell trillions.] There are so very many variables that go into making a marketable product in this day and age, and I’m sure the music industry wishes they could handicap the odds more reliably!

I hope for the best for uh, most of them, lol – but I still remember when Taylor’s WHUMP was going to change the music industry, and Crystal was going to sell millions because the world was ready for “real” music. I mean no diss to them or their fans, it’s just, well, see above. Who knows? The public, she is fickle.

I do know for sure that the tour is going to do way better this year. So that’s something. :)

Thanks for the link to all the performances. They all sound great. My only complaint if for Scotty to sing into the mic more when he is singing his single. It’s really hard to hear him sometimes. Gaga was trying to teach him that but he hasn’t mastered that yet. He does have a nice voice. Ok I love all of them. The tour is going to a lot of fun.

Completely agree about JHud. And not only did her fame come well after her Idol season, but she still hasn’t sold many records, has she? Last I saw, her new album was in the 300,000s. Is that correct?

  • Ratna12

But if you leave early you will miss the cheesy group number at the end!!

What I don’t like is when some people take so much pride going on Twitter and announce that they are going to the bathroom on certain people’s song. Some also counts how many people are leaving, etc, etc.

And I agree that the tour will be better this year because people are more invested on the performers.

  • Buffynut

I think it will be a great show! Such a diversified group. Something for everyone!

  • Trina

See I think James is in a tough position. If he sticks with rock/metal its a smaller, not very hot sound right now and will also be an uphill battle, but at the same time pushing him to HAC is so, so not him. This is why I have no clue what the hell UMG would do with him. I don’t think he would ever be fully embraced by the metal community but I have to wonder after hearing Rob Halford speak the way he did if there are other established metal guys who feel the same way about AI? (And I thought it was really cool that Rob said if he ever needs anything, “anything he wants”) Supposedly Scott Ian of Anthrax called him, Zakk Wylde is still praising him, Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater has offered support – so I’m sure there are tons in the metal world who think he’s a joke, I think he would have SOME support from respected guys if he tried moving forward with the whole metal thing. I don’t know though.

Oh and I HATE the whole aspect of walking out on certain people on tour. Its just plain rude. I don’t think there are any contestants I dislike enough to walk out on them.

Jennifer Hudson is an idol success story cause she got her start from idol and without it she wouldn’t have gotten the role that earned her an oscar. She is signed to idol record label too with Clive Davis behind her. Also her first CD sold over 800 thousand copies. Her second that was released 2 months ago has sold like 350 thousand copies which is double what Lee has sold. She has a Grammy and an Oscar and featured in major movies with another one coming out. I’d say Jennifer Hudson is one of the big stars that came from idol and a success story even though she finished 7th.

That microsoft concert looks like fun. They did well. Scotty was really good and funny. James likes interacting with the audience. I see videos of the others up here but none of James yet. I’d like to see his too. He’s one of my favorites. I love his performance of “uprising”

  • weese

My guess is that because it is so obvious James sings from the heart and loves the genre —established metal artists have and will continue to embrace him. He gave their art form attention and hopefully a shot at a rival of some kind. Many seem grateful.

  • Allison

Just popped in and haven’t listened yet, but I must say Haley;s dress is very cute!

  • McCreerian

I like Scotty but sheesh- would it be really bad if we left before the end of the tour and get out of the parking lot early?

Hmm, people said the same thing about Carrie and Kris just because they were more “boring” than Bo or Adam…But they changed their minds when they saw how good they were. Same will happen with Scotty. Plus, you can’t miss the group song that always comes last!

  • luvmy5guys

Haley is more marketable than James going by vocals, genre, looks, personality. Unlike James, she can go top 40, and that’s where the money is

I am pretty sure that James doesnt want the pop where the money is and there is plenty of music out there that sells and makes money that you will never hear on pop radio (I have a teenager next door who BLASTS metal all day) and when Slipnot was at the concert venue near here they sold out… and as a fan of his trust me when I say I will not be disappointed with his music choices. I actually also find his personality a lot more likeable than Haley’s … I get the impression she is her biggest fan and the reason I stopped rooting for her on idol (she was originally my 2nd choice) was because I found her personality and attitude to be a complete turn off.

  • musicality

I spoke with my cousin who actually went to this thing. Don’t know why but she did. She said the crowd loved, loved, loved Scotty (surprise, surprise). She went with a bunch of her friends so 9 girls all in their late teens. They were in the back of the crowd because they really didn’t care for any of them. Not real idol people but wanted something to do. They laughed hysterically over James, his outfit and his bizarre stage antics, they thought Haley was and Lauren were good. They liked Scotty but thinks he may have more appeal in other regions. She did not clarify what she meant by that. All in all she thought the whole thing was lame. I asked her why she bothered going and she said they were in the area and were bored. :)

As for the above discussion: I think Lauren may be the most marketable but she needs a lot of work. Haley and Scotty are both marketable to the right crowd. James like the ones above I can’t figure out what UMG would do with him. He doesn’t have the voice for HAC and metal is so niche. I can’t image metal heads embracing him. He needs to work on his performance skills. The jumping and splits come off as silly in a venue like that. He acts like he’s playing a role. I know I’d never buy his music. Maybe Haley, maybe Lauren definitely not Scotty either.

Well I got tired of no James videos and started searching for them. I found these — not easy since all the names are the same!! — but the sound isn’t great. The bass in “Uprising” doesn’t come through well at all.

I think Haley can sell well, because in a list of the top 25 itunes, she had the top three sellers (this was before top 3 week):

    1. “House of the Rising Sun” — Haley Reinhart
    2. “Bennie and the Jets” — Haley Reinhart
    3. “Rolling in the Deep” — Haley Reinhart
    4. “The River” — Scotty McCreery
    5. “Uprising” — James Durbin
    6. “Maybe I’m Amazed” — James Durbin
    7. “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” – James Durbin
    8. “All By Myself” — Pia Toscano
    9. “Can I Trust You With My Heart” — Scotty McCreery
    10. “Blue” — Haley Reinhart
    11. “With a Little Help From My Friends” — Casey Abrams
    12. “Your Song” — Casey Abrams
    13. “I (Who Have Nothing)” — Haley Reinhart
    14. “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” — James Durbin
    15. “I’ll Be There For You” — James Durbin
    16. “River Deep, Mountain High” — Pia Toscano
    17. “Living For the City” — James Durbin
    18. “Harder to Breathe” — Casey Abrams
    19. “The Climb” — Lauren Alaina
    20. “Come Pick Me Up” — Paul McDonald
    21. “Piece of My Heart” — Haley Reinhart
    22. “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” — Casey Abrams
    23. “You and I” — Haley Reinhart
    24. “Gone” — Scotty McCreery
    25. “Candle in the Wind” — Lauren Alaina

OK, so here are the totals out of the top 25 itunes:
    1. Haley with 7 (including all three of the top three)
    2. James with 6
    3. Casey with 4
    4. Scotty with 3

    I’m the person who took the videos where you can’t see the performers and the audio is good. I can’t stand for long periods of time, so I was sitting in a chair under an umbrella at the back. I could see them, but they were under a canopy in the shade and it didn’t come through on my video. It was my first time using my iphone to make a video and I didn’t know how to zoom it. So, sorry about that! Also, I THOUGHT I was recording all of Scotty’s performance and only found I hadn’t when I went to turn it off at the end and was turning it on. :{

It didn’t occur to me to record James’ performance or I would have. I was just a huge Haley fan so was happy I thought of it for her. As far as James – he sounded really good on “Love Potion Number 9″ but went flat on “Uprising” when he jumped the octave. I so wish the judges and Jimmy had worked with him on his pitch in his higher register – it would have helped him so much.

ITA that it is extremely rude to walk out during a performance. It does disturb others, and yes, there is that great group finale song.
Re: the Microsoft Store clips above, have only watched Lauren and Scotty so far, and they are just naturals onstage. I have a feeling the tour this year will NOT have empty seats the way last year’s did.

Usually, we get them on Wednesday, but sometimes the label or Billboard will issue a press release on Tuesday if they find the numbers interesting.

We will likely only get the numbers for the top 200 songs, though. Sometimes, Brian or somebody can go deeper. We used to get SS leaks. Sigh.

Fine. But what about respecting the rest of the paying audience as well. If you have an aisle seat and duck down so as not to disturb the concert for others, at least that is showing some common courtesy. If we are all going to be rude when somebody who isn’t our absolute favourite is performing, then nobody will get to enjoy the concert.

It’s just at the concert I went to, the people who left during Jordin’s performance were neither quiet nor discrete. They disturbed people while chugging from the middle of rows and loudly proclaimed while they were leaving. It was disrespectful to everybody and I retain to the right to consider them to be rude. I paid for my concert and I want to see all of it.

If you read the entire thread, you would know that the OP did NOT mean Top 3 week songs. They were “House of the Rising Sun” (Top 5 week), “Rolling in the Deep” (Top 7 week), and “Benny and the Jets” (Top 11 part 2 week). All the weeks that James was still around.

I stick by my original statement that Haley was indeed killing it.

I think linda2u was referring to the top 3 of the itunes list rather than the 3 songs on the Top 3 night – in fact she says earlier that the list came from before Top 3 week.

If so, and IF … big IF … the list can be cited as reliable, then the top 4 can be compared directly.

ETA Lol Swind has beaten me to it!

The linda4u list looks like it came from the IdolHeadEd article “Season 10′s Most Popular Studio Recordings” which was based upon # of iTunes ratings and # of file sharing sites. Several other sites had similar articles based upon similar measures.

As far as I know, the only concrete data tied to sales we have comes post May 25 when singles were allowed to chart (believe albums were always allowed to chart).

James is like a big kid and enjoyed himself at this event. It cracked me up when he said “give metal a chance”, then started singing “Love Potion #9″. LOL!

What James reminds me of is one of those obnoxious DJ’s you see at weddings. The ones where you are deep in a conversation catching up with someone you haven’t seen for awhile and the DJ makes the wedding all about them. “Come on everyone, get up and do the chicken dance. No one is allowed to sit”. You just want to say STFU and play the music and let people do what they want to do. He comes off as so immature. James is my age but he acts like he’s a 12 year old given a microphone at a karoke bar. My cousin and her friends said they were in tears from laughing so hard. She said there were quite a few very “mature” ladies in front encouraging him on.

I really don’t understand all the uproar about people leaving before someone sings in an ARENA concert. I’m a singer/ performer and can see that it would be disruptive in a small, intimate setting, such as a coffeehouse or small club. But in an arena with thousands and thousands of people, it’s common for people to get up to use the restroom, go out to make a phone call, etc. I wouldn’t think the performers on stage would notice them at all.

Now, as far as not being rude to your fellow concert-goers, and not just getting up and blocking their view while you’re leaving your seat – that goes unsaid. But what bothers me MUCH MORE is people who insist on carrying on conversations throughout a concert. I paid my money to hear the PERFORMERS, not their inane babble. It’s gotten so that I don’t even enjoy going to concerts anymore with my favorites, because the concert goers near me ruin the experience with all of their noise. The same applies to screams WHILE THE PERFORMER IS SINGING. I can see screaming AFTER they perform in appreciation. But these kids that keep screaming DURING the song are so rude and disrespectful and it seems their parents do nothing to stop them, so they’re as rude as their children are!

  • http://www.lindafoltz.com linda2u

As far as my post before, I clearly said that the itunes rankings were BEFORE THE TOP THREE COMPETED. Also, if the person who kept saying Haley had the top three songs out of the three performances knew about itunes, he would know that only ONE song was even released that week to itunes.

PRIOR to the top three competing, out of the top 25, Haley had #1, #2 and #3, Scotty had #4. Before people posted, I sure wish they’d READ what they’re posting about!
