American Idol 10 Austin Auditions Attract 7, 500 Hopefuls

According to the Dallas Morning News, the American Idol 10 auditions yesterday attracted 7, 500 hopefuls to the Frank Irwin center in Austin TX.

Ryan Seacrest was there broadcasting his radio show from inside the arena and Season 2 runner-up, Justin Guarini covered the event for the TV Guide Channel.

Idol producer Patrick Lynn said the turnout was good for one of the smaller cities Idol will be visiting this summer. It is Idol’s third trip to the Texas state capital.

The last of the Idol 10 auditions take place in San Francisco on August 19.
