The episode begins with the teams learning who was eliminated from the last leg of the race. Brodie is sad Blair has been eliminated, but they have already made plans to see each other after the race. Afterwards, we see the teams finding out where they are going to next: Dubai, UAE. Once there, they must find a Travelocity gnome in a desert. All the teams are on the same flight to Dubai, so they are on equal footing going into this leg of the race.
The teams arrive in Dubai, and they must get into cars and drive themselves to the camp where the Travelocity gnome awaits. Sheri and Cole miss an important turn on the way there, so they fall behind all the other teams. Tyler and Korey are the first to find their Travelocity gnome. They get their next clue and learn they have a Detour to complete: Races or Oasis. Races require teams to race against camels on bikes. If they cross the finish line before the camels, they will receive their next clue. Oasis requires teams to lead four camels through a desert. Once they bring the camels to a camp, they will receive their next clue.
Tyler and Korey, Burnie and Ashley, and Zach and Rachel are the first three teams to arrive. They all choose Races. Dana and Matt arrive next, and they choose Oasis. Brodie and Kurt arrive and choose Race, but their car gets stuck in the sand. It takes them a bit of time to get their car out of the sand, but they mange to make their way to the Detour before Sheri and Cole finally figure out where they’re supposed to be going.
At the Races Detour, the camels are surprisingly faster than the teams expected. Tyler and Korey and Burnie and Ashley lose the race. Tyler and Korey want to try it again, but Burnie and Ashley choose to switch to the Oasis Detour. Zach and Rachel arrive at the Races Detour, but Rachel doesn’t want to go fast on bikes. However, Zach wants to give it a try.
Sheri and Cole finally get the clue leading them to the Detour as Dana and Matt are still leading the camels through the desert. Zach and Rachel and Brodie and Kurt attempt the camel race next. Brodie and Kurt win the race on their first attempt and they are now in first place. Zach and Rachel lose, and Rachel wants to switch. Brodie and Kurt can now proceed to Aquaventure.
Tyler and Korey beat the camels on their second attempt, and Dana and Matt finish leading the camels to the camp. They can now go to Aquaventure too. Meanwhile, Sheri and Cole race against the camels, but they lose on their first attempt. They decide to try again.
At the Roadblock, one team member must be submerged into a pool of water where sharks and stingrays are swimming around. They must collect a canister that contains the next clue. Once they get out of the water, the canister has a water puzzle that requires them to place letters onto slots. Once they accomplish this, they will receive their next clue.
While Brodie is working on the Roadblock, Burnie and Ashley are leading the camels. They eventually finish and are in fourth place. Right behind them are Zach and Rachel. Meanwhile, Tyler and Korey and Dana and Matt are lost on the highway to Aquaventure. Zach and Rachel finish the Oasis Detour and are currently in fifth place.
Sheri and Cole beat the camels on their second attempt, but they remain in last place. They can now go to Aquaventure too. Meanwhile, Brodie is getting frustrated with the puzzle. Before any other teams arrive, Brodie and Kurt decide to use the Express Pass. Brodie didn’t think he could solve the puzzle.
Brodie and Kurt must now go to Poseidon’s Revenge, an attraction at the park. They must go down a water slide. The other teams arrive at Aquaventure, with Burnie, Dana, and Korey doing the Roadblock. Sheri and Cole, however, are lost again, but Zach and Rachel are almost at the park.
After Brodie and Kurt go down the water slide, they learn they must go to Old Souq Station; that is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Meanwhile, Burnie, Korey, and Dana are struggling with the puzzle as Zach begins the Raodblock.
Burnie finally solves the puzzle and gets the next clue. Dana and Korey ask Burnie for guidance, but he leaves without saying a word to them. Sheri and Cole are still lost and have yet to arrive at the water park.
Burnie and Ashley go down the water slide as Korey solves the puzzle. He and Tyler can go to the water slide now. Zach even manages to solve the puzzle before Dana, putting him and Rachel in fourth place. Dana is still struggling and getting visibly frustrated with the puzzle.
As Burnie and Ashley and Tyler and Korey go down the water slide, Brodie and Kurt get lost on the way to the Pit Stop. They still keep their lead, but they’re risking losing first place the longer they stay lost on the highway. Meanwhile, Sheri and Cole finally arrive at Aquaventure as Dana finally finishes the puzzle. Zach and Rachel go down the water slide as Dana and Matt can make their way there now. Cole gets started on the Roadblock.
Brodie and Kurt getting lost has cost them since Burnie and Ashley have now caught up to them. They are dead even as they get on boats on the way to the Pit Stop. It’s a mad dash for first place, but Brodie and Kurt manage to get there first. Brodie and Kurt are Team #1! They win a trip to Helsinki, Finland. Burnie and Ashley arrive seconds later and are Team #2.
As Dana and Matt go down the water slide and Cole finishes the Roadblock, Tyler and Korey greet Phil as Team #3. Dana and Matt are having trouble figuring out where to drive to, which causes them to bicker. As they get lost, Dana and Matt get into a big argument. Matt is driving and continuously asks Dana where they need to go since she has the map in her hand, but Dana gets irritated with him as she tells him she doesn’t know. She’s annoyed with Matt asking her the same question over and over again. “There’s something mentally wrong with you!” she shouts at Matt. “You’re psychotic!”
Meanwhile, Sheri and Cole go down the water slide and can now proceed to the Pit Stop. Dana and Matt are still arguing as they stop to ask for directions, and Zach and Rachel greet Phil as Team #4.
When it’s noticeably much darker and later in the evening, Dana and Matt finally arrive at the Pit Stop. They look defeated, but Phil tells them that they are Team #5. Dana breaks down in tears and is apologetic for yelling at Matt.
Sheri and Cole are the last team to arrive. They are prepared for bad news, but Phil tells them that it is a non-elimination leg. Sheri and Cole remain in the race. Sheri and Cole are thrilled that they can remain in the race.
