I’m happy for Allison. Sounds like she’s ready to begin a new era with her band. I thought she struggled after Idol, because she was so young and wasn’t comfortable with how her label was trying to market her. She needed time to grow up and mature and now she’s ready. I wish her all the luck in the world.

Allison is very talented and her first cd was grossly underrated. Now that she’s a bit older I hope she can find some success.

  • milwlovesadam

Yay!! You go girl!! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of you!!

  • hellomusicgirl

Super good news! Congrats to Allison and I can’t wait to hear her new music. Scars, from her first album, is still one of the most played songs on my iTunes. She’s so talented.

  • Pippygirl

So glad that Allison has resurfaced! Love her!

  • usedtobelucy

Hoping that Allison’s voice, style and vibe will succeed better coming out of a slightly older person. Also hoping that she begins to develop the career she deserves!

Best wishes to Allison on her new venture. Fronting a band seems like a good fit to her. Will be interested to see what music she is doing once people have a chance to see her in concert this year.

Perfect. She was born to front a band IMO. Good luck Allison!

  • Miz

Very happy to hear this. I’m glad she took a year off to regroup and rediscover herself. I think she got a raw deal.

I’m looking forward to hearing her new band and music. Hope someone can get good videos.

Good luck to Allison. I think being a front woman for a band is right path for her. I love Trouble Is from her album.

  • suenigma

Go Allison! A legend in the making!

  • MissMyEm

Great news!  Allison is too talented not to be out there.   If she ever comes up my way, I’d definitely go to see her.   Echoing Miz by saying I hope there’s good video.

What kind of music does her band play? Is it with famous people like We Are The Fallen or Siobhan’s band?

  • girlygirltoo

I don’t think it’s with people who were in other well known bands. I think she’s still working with the guitarist who was with her for her tour back when she came off Idol. I would bet it is some sort of rock music, but we’ll have to wait and see :)

I heard some random stuff she did on YouTube that was unbelievable. I can’t wait for her new music. I’ve always been a fan of hers. Damn, the music biz is so tough, even for people with so much talent. I enjoyed Stefano’s new song, too. So many kids with talent. At least, with all of these talent competitions, they get a shot.

  • standtotheright

Oh, best of luck to her! May all her experience have done her a world of good. I’m curious to hear what comes next.

Late in commenting, but I wish Allison all the best.  I think it is a good sign that she took time off, rather than flailing around.  I also love Allison’s very unique voice, but I didn’t think her first album was very good.  It didn’t play to the strengths of her voice.  And her performances sometimes came across as frenetic.  Hopefully, she’s got all the kinks worked out.
