I’m happy its only half of the songs right now. There’s a lot to take in. So far, You Don’t Know Me is my favorite, followed closely by D is For Dangerous and No One Else (I can see now why she’s looking forward to singing that one live – I’m looking forward to hearing it live.)

When the music started for Still Breathing, I said “uh oh”. It sounds like an Idol studio recording. I don’t like that music.

I LOVE Just Like You acoustic. Its better than the recorded version. I miss the guitars and Dave’s harmony. There’s also more ‘smoker voice’ on the acoustic version. I loved when she sang ‘I’m finally having fun, now drama go away’ acoustic. My hand always goes to my heart when she sings that acoustic. It doesn’t have the same impact on the studio version.

I hope she can make a live concert recording or an ‘all acoustic’ recording early in her career.

I think Robot will be a thumping live tune as well.
Dilana’s Holiday has two guitars and it kicks good with a fuller sound. I’m hoping Allison also goes with two guitars and the other player isn’t Alli but the roadie or the guitar tech. I’m only hearing one guitar though.
We’ll see.

The strong full-bodied unique voice her fans loved so much is always in front and never overpowered by the instrumentations. This is a classic example of simple but powerful recording.

Excited to have the CD.

Frankly, the shock to me was that they didn’t make the whole album even poppier than FIBOU. I was expecting them to screw up this album, and I’m so thrilled that they didn’t. It’s still overproduced, but not wildly so judging from the clips and my one run through the whole thing; plus, overproduction seems to be almost a given on post-AI albums (with Kris’ album seeming to be a welcome exception), and taking that into account, it sounds great.

And to buy the real thing. I pre-ordered it but my credit card was never charged, so I don’t think it went through. These pre-orders never seem to work for me.

You shouldn’t get charged until the order is processed, which can’t happen until the album is actually out so don’t worry about it. It probably went through fine.
