Alexis Cohen Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested

There’s a break in the case of the hit-and-run death of ex-American Idol contestant, Alexis Cohen.

Via the Associated Press:

Authorities have arrested a man on charges stemming from an accident that claimed the life of an “American Idol” contestant at the Jersey shore.

Daniel Bark was charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. The 23-year-old is from Toms River.

    Glad they caught him and very sad this had to happen. So much for the knee jerk reaction of some that it had to be Idol related (and at fault).

    The world is a “funny” place. Apparently one of the things Alexis really wanted was the “fame” that went with American Idol. And strangely, in death, she has really received that noteriety….man, life is a super bitch sometimes.

    I think more charges can be filed after an investigation, these are just the charges they’re holding him on for now.

    Me too! I also hope this brings some relief, closure to her family. Just so sad.

    Poor Alexis. Poor her mom. Glad this guy: run a person down and leave them in the street. Some folks ain’t halfway human.

    And for the record, I didn’t see anyone saying American Idol led to her death, unlike the sad story of Paula’ stalker. But that the way they used the girl on the show was damn mean and sad.
