Alex needs to do something with his hair.

  • koshka

aladdict – that is the first thing I talked about. I’m surprised he hasn’t cut it yet. Mullets don’t go over well in CA.

  • Judee

i’m sorry i can’t get over all the douchiness every time i see his face. i was watching another episode of the reality show and he’s just so annoying all the time. he is like 1000 times worse version of John Mayer.

  • NOLA

This kid needs his ass beat.

  • cookcricket

Actually I was glad to see the mullet back. It’s amazing how someone with such a sweet face can be a douche.

    Like the voice though.

  • NOLA

    Talk about off key!

  • http://www.dancin.ca dancin

    ugh lol

  • Kassandra

First and foremost, what a lovely rendition of the song – and in front of so many people!! Must have been terrifying all alone on that field. Can’t wait to see a video of the SSB!

Second, the hair is sooo a matter of taste. Never in a million years would I have called a mullet an attractive haircut, but on him it’s ADORABLE. Much better than the other haircut they gave him. (And didn’t Matchbox 20′s singer also rock a sexy mullet?). Some people hate it, just as many if not more like it, so since Alex likes it he may as well keep it.

Third, obviously some people don’t have much experience with healthy, happy, rambunctious boys. That’s all he is – not a douche. Just a normal 19 year old with lots of energy and a dorky 19 year old’s sense of humor – and absolutely no PR training or “genteel” upbringing. Go hang out in a senior year boys’ locker room for a day and you’ll see what I mean. And behind that gangsta exterior he puts on to cover up his nerves (the same nerves that got him voted off Idol, as he’s constantly reminded), he’s a sweet kid, and he does plenty of stuff to prove it.

  • Anmllvr367

I completely agree with everything you said Kassandra!

  • t2

So much potential — so little time…

  • 1952

Ugh is 3 bytes too many for this guy.

  • koshka

LOL you guys are killing me!

  • tessa

Great job, Alex! I think he should have been in the Top 3 at least, maybe even win the whole thing. He was my first pick, Lee second. I hope to hear more from him!

  • movin2thabeet

The kid is still mostly all potential. That performance was all raw, forced and an affront to my ears. I do hope he has at least some openness to receiving guidance on how to develop his talent into something beautiful.

  • JudyOhio

Not sure what to think of his take on God Bless America. It was “different”, not necessarily good OR bad, just different. He has that particular vocal styling in everything he sings and it’s what makes his voice unique. Maybe his “sound” doesn’t lend itself to big patriotic songs? He probably couldn’t pull off a Luciano Pavarotti piece either. Anyway, dunno, but one thing is for SURE, he has GREAT dimples, lol.

  • Holden

Sorry, but that was not good at all. I’m sure it’s hard for a singer to hear himself in a baseball stadium, but that was pretty embarrassing. I still can’t figure out why so many people continue to be in love with this guy. Perhaps that’s a reflection of how shallow the male talent puddle was on “Idol” this year.

  • unidentified

Alex, stop being an ass. I don’t want to hate you cause you have a really good voice. But if you don’t stop the repugnant behavior it won’t matter how good you sing. Yeah, and cut the hair, it looks stupid.

  • jujumagumbo

At first I was like “Hey look, it’s Carol Brady!”, then I was like “oh no, it’s just that kid again”.

  • carey

That was not what I was expecting. I really liked parts of it, and I love the tone of his voice, then there were other parts where I prefer the traditional version. (I wonder if his vocal coach told him to be sure not to rush through it!) It was an interesting version – good for him!

  • Judee

I don’t hate him. He has a good voice, but i agree this was bad. All i’m saying is that he’s a 20 year old with a complete lack of self-awarness. Literally NONE. At least half of 14 year olds are more mature than he is.

  • TwigLA

I liked it. It wasn’t perfect, but it was interesting. I’m not a fan of his personality and I disagree that he’s like most ‘boys’ his age.

Oh, and to me his hair is a shag, not a mullet.

  • wonderings

I don’t get all the hate. Was this season so lacking a proper villian after Mary Powers left and pretty-boy Timjaya turned out to be polite, articulate, and capable of improvement? The vigor of the douche-labelling really suprises me. I assume it doesn’t relate directly to the singing or pictures here. Is it PTSD flashbacks to the something pitchy interview?

Alex’s pitch certainly did wander here and he was pushing big-time in spots, but the tone that I love was still very evident. I liked the passion he injected into the song rather than singing bland. I’d reference a certain idol of whom Alex is a fanboy as the posterboy for emotionally vacant anthems, but perhaps that would not be wyze.

The hairdo? It looks like Alex; it suits him. Kinda cool that he’s owning it. And the dimples are adorbs.

  • jericho

I know alot of healthy, happy, rambunctious boys. I have one of my own and he’s nothing like this idiot. My teenage daughter, while hopefully not spending any time in a boys’ locker rooms, is a fair judge of people and she thinks this guy is an idiot. None of my children’s friends have “genteel” upbringings yet they don’t act like this douche. I think in this particular case, what we see is what we get.

  • 1952

Personality aside .. it helps if you don’t sound like a car that won’t start when you’re singing God bless America. Kate Smith he isn’t.

  • AmericanIdol8

I think alot of people are seeing what they would have gotten had Alex made it through to the top 10. I find him funny and refreshing. I just wish the mullet would go away. I know it is his trademark but I loved that one pic of him when they first invited him into The Dream House, his hair was spiked and cut. He looked great. Oh well……

  • MrDuffin

    That is one obnoxious individual!

  • Pam

Wow. That was painful to listen to.

  • iluvai

I liked it. Alex is adorable. I agree with Kassandra. Great post.

Wonderings, you made me smile :)

Jericho… I just have to laugh at your insinuation that your children DO have a genteel upbringing (I’m not saying they don’t – it’s just funny how you put it)! People mature at different rates – and also I’m being tactful when I say he didn’t have a genteel upbringing; it actually sounds like a pretty rough upbringing. Despite this, the only thing Alex is “guilty” of is speaking his mind without thinking, which I don’t think qualifies a person as a douche – just a straightforward person. He’s also got a special kind of humor, that can I suppose be misinterpreted. And there is certainly no evidence that he’s an idiot.

  • AIaddict

I don’t hate Alex by any means and don’t pretend to know him personally but I have heard some of the thngs he has done and said publically and it’s not sounding good. Aex has to have more than a good voice (it did not come thru on this video) to make it in the music business especially coming from AI. He’s gotta play the game for a while. He has a voice there if he will just learn to use it, grow up some, get PR training and a hair cut he could go places.

  • wand3rful

here is a simple question, why is he a douche? i missed the part where he got a girl pregnant and ran out. where he cursed out an old lady. where he beatdown a midget. what exactly did this kid do??

i like the tone of his voice. it has nothing to do w. the lack of talent in season 9, it just a preference. i would’ve had the same opnion had he participated in season 8, 7, 6 etc.

  • Thirsty

    Well that’s wasn’t good. Ouch.

    Kassandra:

Uh, I have plenty of contact with 19 year old boys quite frequently and they do not act like Alex. None of them had a “genteel” upbringing, although they are all healthy and happy. Sure they can be crude and obnoxious when they’re together and no one is looking. But they all have this little thing called manners.

I think the thing that bugs is when he was on Idol, he was nervous and just finding his feet and it was easy to root for him, because he seemed like a nice kid with lots of potential who was both thrilled and scared at the Idol opportunity. Now that he’s in the IICD house he’s become full of himself and doesn’t mind taking some pretty assy swipes at some of the others who stayed. He comes across as both full of sour grapes and like he thinks he was too good for the show.

He’s blown off radio interviews and acted a douche, as if he’s somehow now too cool for it all.

When you contrast this with Casey and Tim and Aaron and even Lee, who all seem pretty grateful for the opportunity they were given, yeah. He does suffer severely by comparison.

    /end rant

  • Holden

There have been quite a few posts about Alex Lambert’s personality. I don’t know anything about him in that regard. I only know his performances on “Idol” and in this particular clip. On “Idol,” he had a C- voice at best and always looked like a deer in the headlights. Here he just sounds awful. I couldn’t tell you whether or not he’s a decent guy. Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t. I just know that he doesn’t possess enough talent to be a professional singer — unless his recordings are seriously Autotuned.

  • ross

19 year olds aren’t boys. They’re adults, they fight and die in wars. This kid is immature. I like him, and all, but I said he was immature when he cried when he was eliminated, and y’all came down on me like I was a meanie.

  • razztag

This kid is bursting with potential. Great tone. I definitely would have gone to tour if he were on it.

(And he definitely needs some PR training, but I think he’s a good kid.)

  • 1952

I think the real reason people react so strongly is that they had one impression of him from Idol, of this nervous, sensitive angelic kid, and ’cause the reality doesn’t match they feel cheated of their vision.

So that’s why I don’t like him? Nah.

  • jaybee

I am an avid music lover, and think both Alex, and Archuleta have awesome vocals, and the fact that ALEX IS LOVED AND HATED IS A FORMULA THAT WORKS EVERY TIME-MADONNA WAS SAID TO HAVE A TERRIBLE VOICE WHEN SHE STARTED,WAS DESPISED BY MANY,AND LOVED BY OTHERS,AND THAT TURNED OUT O.K.Funny idea for an SNL sketch-ALEX and ARCHULETA-THE NEW ODD COUPLE-they go out for public events, and Alex cusses out a fan, while David blushes deep red and SAYS-OH ALEX!!! I CAN JUST HEAR DAVID’S HYSTERICAL RESPONSE.

  • JudyOhio

Sure they can be crude and obnoxious when they’re together and no one is looking.

“When no one is looking” presents a problem for Alex because being on a 24/7 cam in the IICD house doesn’t give much time not to be watched. That’s why he interacts with the others in the house without filter…because there is no filter. It’s WYSIWYG. I’ve seen my sons and their friends get pretty crude and obnoxious on occasion when it’s just them (but they’re not being filmed, so no biggie). Heck, even my husband can crack a crude joke to a friend or whatever. Alex’s problem with AI fans is that he DARED to express his opinion of a few of them (ahem, crystal). Hence, he is a douche. The OTHER part of Alex (which I don’t see as douchey per se) is just a 19-year-old guy that needs to smooth off his rough edges….particularly when in PUBLIC. Now, I don’t “love” the guy. I just find it interesting to watch his progression or lack thereof in an academic sense pretty much. You know, like arm chair coaching and all, lol.

  • http://airincaol.com coco

is that considered screeeechy or shriekeeeee?

  • Holden

I really don’t care about any of this so-called “douche” calling or what alleged “opinions” he may have expressed. The simple fact is that Alex Lambert cannot sing.

  • JudyOhio

Well Holden, there is the he’s a douche contingent, the he can’t sing contingent, and the fan contingent….all in operation here and stating their various opinions, lol. I guess he’s becoming polarizing to a degree. :) Poor Alex, lol.

  • razztag

The simple fact is that Alex Lambert cannot sing.

…seriously? Well, to each his own, but that is definitely not a fact. That many people were pissed when he got eliminated for a reason.

  • Thirsty

    JudyOhio:
Alex’s problem with AI fans is that he DARED to express his opinion of a few of them (ahem, crystal). Hence, he is a douche

Oh, yes. Alex is so brave to speak his mind. :/

Again, really? Because there are myriad ways to say something without seeming to be a spiteful turd. It is one thing for random people to comment on a blog or message board. It is quite another for someone who was part of the competition to slag off people that he was supposedly friendly with. YMMV

  • Dlynne

It wasn’t his best performance but I still love the tone of his voice. I think he has great potential.

Some boys/men mature slowly. I know plenty of kids his age who act like he does. I’m not going to judge his talent because he’s a practical joker and he can be annoying. If his music is good, I’ll listen to it.

IMO, he’s got a long way to go to catch up to John Mayer’s idiocy.

  • gangreen29

    That sucked

Also, not all 19 year old males act like feral dogs like this guy lol.

  • weese

Alex is young for 19. Whatever the reason–genetics, family environment–he is maturing at a different rate than some but comparable with many. When 30,40,50,60 year old women are calling a 19 year old high school senior a douche I find it weird. That all of your children and their friends are perfect and you haven’t seen a kid like this grow and change is surprising. There are kids like Alex everywhere who grow up to be amazing adults–And we shouldn’t be sending 19 year olds to war. Alex is an example of why many are not ready and should not be there.

  • JOJOSIE

I think he looks adorable love the hair and dimples. He has a lot of maturing to do but he has a good tone and evidently Simon Fuller thinks he has some potential.

  • gangreen29

Everyone butchers ssb or god bless americca

Lol no, not people who can actually sing.

  • peonyeagle

Alex looks great in those pictures and he sounds great too. I’ll definitely buy his album when it’s out. As for that hair, you guys should come see the boys here in Japan. Alex’s hair is mild compared to what they have here. Way to go Alex!

  • http://myspace.com/susanatfox sumidol

Hes a douche and some people on here want his ass beat – whoa – thats nuts

  • FREIDAG

Flat and Off-Key. He actually makes Lee’s rendition sound good.

  • koshka

19 year olds aren’t boys. They’re adults, they fight and die in wars. This kid is immature. I like him, and all, but I said he was immature when he cried when he was eliminated, and y’all came down on me like I was a meanie.

Ross thank you for this, not just in regards to Alex.

  • Esqt

For me (for you), that was not good. It’s dull, flat, and jagged rendition of supposedly emotional song. It was like he’s reciting a prose or doing a jazzy hip-hop (in short, what was that?).

  • FREIDAG

    *

    That’s because it was.

This kid is just horribly inexperienced. He has an amazing tone to his voice but until he learns more about music, he won’t be able to use his gift properly. That wasn’t good but I don’t get the instant urge to say nasty things.

Sorry, I didn’t like Lee’s version either but it was a heck of a lot better than this drivel. I don’t think Alex has a “gift”. I think he’s just an average singer.

  • Mtlfan

he has a nice tone but didn’t like his rendition

  • JJ123

I agree with whoever said he has a good natural tone to his voice but needs more experience. He does have a gift (IMO) and hopefully when he watches this back it’ll be a very humbling experience for him so he knows what he has to do to get better. I haven’t kept up with him in the house but I’ve read that he’s been very immature….don’t really care about all that, I just know that I like the sound of his voice and think he can make something out of it. I’m sure that most of the songs I like are sung by people who are a$$es in real life, AI people put themselves out there to be judged and ridiculed so we know more but for me it still comes down to if I like the song and the sound. Hopefully Alex gets himself some good songs and guidance because I’d like to hear more from him.

  • peonyeagle

I think he sounded great here. The recording is far from his position so it may have come out not so good. I’m sure IICD will have a better coverage of it. He’s quite playful so that may turn off some or misunderstand him but I just don’t see that. I see a good kid in Alex with a great family who supports him and will keep him grounded. Who has 19-yr-old kids who send their mothers money and get’s left with $1? That’s what has endeared me to Alex as well, his ties at home are strong and when IICD is over and he gets on with his life, he’ll have that strong support from his family and friends and that should matter more.

  • Soapbox0916

While Alex may be really rough around the edges when it comes to manners, I really am enjoying watching a raw sweet kid start to blossom while I watch. Alex has shown to have a big heart following him on If I Can Dream, and while Alex is from a poor class background and a typical spunky teen boy, he is adapting to a new and very different world right before my eyes. Give him time. I am glad that I get to see the real Alex on If I Can Dream because a few bits and pieces blown out of context don’t do him justice.

If I had any complaints it is that Alex is trying to learn too much too quickly. Alex practiced God Bless America and SSB with a lot of runs, and while I can appreciate that Alex wants to learn all these techniques, he has a great dry raspy rich voice that does not need all these runs to sound great. Actually, I think too many runs distract from his talent. Plus runs done too quickly can sound pitchy, when it is not a pitch problem. I think his voice really shines when he is pure and steady. It is hard to know when it is better to do less, especially if you really can do more.

Sure Alex may still be raw, but his musical growth curve makes my jaw drop sometimes. While watching If I Can Dream, there was a particular music technique that took me three weeks to figure out and I am nerdy girl, but Alex just instantly learned it like it was instinct. Plus Alex really does have a lot of raw talent to work with and I have seen that Alex can hits notes on both ends all over the place. It is like Alex has only scratched the surface of his music potential. There is a whole lot more to Alex than what he did on American Idol.

I wish I could watch Alex a little bit more during his music lessons, co-writing song sessions, and practicing, but my real life gets in my way. Still what I catch of Alex is impressive. At first I hated the idea of a 24/7 reality show, but now I wish I could see more artists and songs as they develop.

  • Shadow_i

Alex sounds good singing that – and he looks good, and has a very good voice. This is a good experience for him. Also Alex has his good attributes and not a douche. He is working hard at his craft, trying to achieve his dream, and not letting the negativity/bashing slow him down.

  • druzilla

Was not good and he’s still a douche.

  • iluvai

I just saw a few days ago, that dimples were the latest fad in plastic surgery. Looking at how adorable they are on Alex, I’m not surprised.

  • wonderings

Would anyone have imagined that this kid would be one of the most polarizing and talked about characters coming out of Season 9? The kid with the mullet and the ukulele and THAT last name – total fodder, right? Surely only to be remembered for singing while consumed with stage fright and vomiting backstage?

    Heh.

Is it indeed better to be talked about & controversial? Or to be, like Anoop, rather lonely in a 5-comment thread? Fascinating stuff. It’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes down in the end.

  • tripp_ncwy

So is Justin Gaston opening for Alex at The Mint in Los Angeles again like he did last time?

  • Lu

At first I was like “Hey look, it’s Carol Brady!”, then I was like “oh no, it’s just that kid again”.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA… Oh, yes. Alex is so brave to speak his mind. :/

    Amen.

The only thing that could be worse is this douche duetting with the a**hat Josiah… I wish they would both fade into oblivion.

  • iluvai

    I like Alex and Josiah.

  • weese

    Amen.

These are kids we are talking about. Kids who have had really tough childhoods at that.

  • ross

Sorry, I didn’t like Lee’s version either but it was a heck of a lot better than this drivel.

Lee didn’t sing God Bless America, right?

  • iluvai

Lee is a really good singer.

  • JudyOhio

Even though Alex and Josiah had different things to deal with growing up, they are similar in so far as having fairly difficult family situations. Poverty is a sad thing and sometimes it’s hard to dream and work your way out of it. I admire them for at least trying to live up to their dreams. They haven’t come to our attention as polished proteges, nor have they had much, if any, formal training. They are works in progress. Josiah has an off-putting egotism about his worth just like Alex imo. But I still say this comes from their base insecurities, inexperience, and fear and I’d like to see them rise above it all. American dream, and all that jazz :). Hopefully, they will have happy endings.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I don’t know anything about his personality, but that mullet has to go.

  • iluvai

I come from the kind of background like Alex and Josiah. It’s so annoying seeing the judgemental attitudes towards them… There are a lot of poor folks in the USA.

  • Lu

These are kids we are talking about. Kids who have had really tough childhoods at that.

I think their age classifies them as adults. I know plenty of people that did not have happy childhoods that still are able to act respectfully towards others. I refuse to make excuses for a person’s bad behavior. These two guys have been given a huge opportunity to make something of themselves. Seems like they’re pretty lucky to me.

  • iluvai

JudyOhio, I’m blowing you a kiss!

  • khomphuong

    That is one obnoxious individual

DUH, his last name is Lambert

  • iluvai

This is so crazy. I just refuse to give up on kids with potential.

I don’t know what Alex is getting out of being talked about or controversial to a few people on a Idol blog. Most of the world doesn’t know who he is. A lot more people know who Anoop is. He has way more recognition, having been in the Top 10. Right now I’d say Anoop would be more likely to draw a crowd to a concert than Alex.

  • Lu

This is so crazy. I just refuse to give up on kids with potential

Not really. Just people expressing different opinions. YOu can cheer them on if you wish! :)

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

I haven’t seen that show… so I have NO idea what this dude is like. I’ll say this and then shut up… I have a huge music collection and I’m sure many of the musicians in it are douchebags. I am not sure why if you’re on television you have to be a golden boy. Most artists are self-centered pricks, and that’s why they succeed. You gotta have balls to get on stage and act like a bad ass. That was sorely missing from Idol this year.

But I’m not sure why he’s universally hated, since I haven’t seen the show. I suppose the hair is enough for me…

  • Lu

Maybe it’s because of the overinflated ego PJ. I don’t know. Alex talked some smack about the very people he said he was friends with on idol… pretty douchey if you ask me… just obnoxious arrogance. Why he’s arrogant, I have no idea. I just don’t see the talent that everyone else does I guess.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

Lu, I haven’t watched one episode of the show and I’m not really concerned with defending this mullet guy. It’s a reality show and probably edited at the very least. I’d guess it’s scripted too.

I don’t like it when people talk smack about their fellow Idols, either. Unless they deserve it. Ahem. Not sure what he said.

  • Lu

LOL @ mullet guy, PJ. MJ had it posted here a while back. If I remember correctly, he dissed Casey pretty hard.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

Well, Lu. All’s fair in love and reality shows. Let’s see who wins between Casey and Mullet guy. I’m guessing Casey is a better musician.

  • http://twitter.com/cara_lee pj

Just watched the vid. This dude is trying too hard. He sounds like he’s trying to be a cross between John Mayer and Jack Johnson. I wasn’t impressed.

  • Shadow_i

To those who call him a douche for the peeing in shampoo prank. Obviously you don’t know the other IICD roomates played mean pranks on Alex 3 times before he did anything back. They poured water on him while asleep and woke him that he peed on himself, and all laughed at him. Then Amanda and chef Caitlin played another prank and made Alex eat a cake that Amanda already chewed in her mouth and spit out, and she had dental infection at the time. Alex didnt know she had it her mouth before, and when he realized it he took it in stride, while they all laughed at him. Don’t you think that’s disgusting and mean thing to do to him? And he’s the douche? Then the next day Caitlin and Gig played another prank and poured mixture of bad food and cocoa mixture on Alex while he slept by the pool. He didn’t say anything, but he was clearly upset and sad and just went inside. That’s when he finally had enough of their mean pranks – and while washing off the junk he did his shampoo prank to go with the pee one they first did to him. I know most of you only read about shampoo prank in interviews, but the others pushed him to retaliate after their mean pranks – he didnt start it – he took it in strides while they had a good laugh at his expense until he couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t think they should be playing pranks, and I don’t think Alex should be attacked for it without considering what lead to it — blame the others too. Oh and he did fine singing at dodger stadium.

To those who call him a douche for the peeing in shampoo prank.

My feelings about him have nothing to do with this. Rather, it was more the somethingpithcy clip that MJ had poasted a while back where I felt he insulted some of his idol castmates. That is how I perceived it and I think some others here felt the same. It also appeared that he was overly impressed with himself. It was a trmendous turnoff for me. I guess time will tell. If he’s as talented as he appears to think he is, he should do well. As far as this SSB clip is concerned, I’m most unimpressed.

That’s how I perceived it, too. His saying that if it was a singing competition he’d still be there because he’s a better singer (that’s my paraphrase, not a direct quote btw) than most of the other guys left really turned me off. Then he dissed Tim for having fangirls. He has a pretty short memory, because he had plenty of fangirls too. They even created a petition to get him back on the show. Add that to the rude and obnoxious things he said about Crystal and Casey (who are both incredibly talented) and I was done.

If he’s as talented as he appears to think he is, he should do well.

Just listened to it and I thought Alex did a nice job.

I do think he was one of the more talented people on Season 9. I don’t watch all of his intereviews, etc, because I’m just not that interested in his personal life, but I do really love his voice and I’m hoping he records some songs that I like.

I never understand why people get bent out of shape when one idol says something negative about another idol. Yes, it’s probably more tactful not to say it, but to me, it’s not a big deal.

Alex did have a hard upbrining and I think this whole experience has to be overwhelming for him. I grew up in not the best environment and I know when I was 19, I was a mess, even though I worked fulltime and supported myself. I personally am rooting for mullet guy. We can talk about AI and plants, etc. Season 8 was full of contestants with experience, but I didn’t feel as if the judges laid it on so thick with the “oh, we just plucked him fron obscurity” BS. Alex, to me, is the real “paint salesman” this year. I think he is the type of person AI is really supposed to be about finding, someone who sang only a couple of times in public with zero connections to the music business.

You can call the kid whatever you want, or criticize his singing all you want, but, judging by the number of comments, more people are interested in him than in the winner of Season 9. Heck, more people are interested in Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta than Lee Dewyze. That a contestant who didn’t even make the top 10 is more popular than the winner pretty much sums up Season 9.

Wow just saw the new episode of If i can dream they purposely kept his rendition of the ssb under locks i was blown away by how well he sang the ssb not God bless America idiots who keep hating on him for his rendition of that when you look at the new episode and see what he pulled of you will say wow! i had goosebumps no hate from me im impressed with this kids growth thats what its about getting better at your craft and he sang that song with a soulfulness and style that he can call his own well done Alex. Check the new episode out before you hate on his God bless America and btw there is no comparison with leees ssb at the nba finals and alex at dodgers, alex clearly has the better voice. If you cant hear that then your tone deaf.
