Adam Lambert is currently on a whirlwind Canadian promo tour to promote his new album, Trespassing.  Today, he stopped by the Marilyn Denis Show in Toronto for a chat.

During the wide-ranging discussion, the Season 8 Idol alum talked about the year and a half he spent writing and executive producing his  sophomore album, singing with Queen in Europe this summer, how he feels being called a “gay icon” and more.

    I think this show gets about 400,000 viewers, according to the internet.   Not a huge audience, but still, I think it’s worth him plugging away at the interviews.  They all add up.

    Just looked up the show and Wiki’d it. Very popular. So popular that it has a weekly “Best of Marilyn Denis Show.” So popular, it has correspondents like Ben Mulroney, the son of the former Prime Minister of Canada and popular overall TV personality ( He has co-hosted with Kelly Ripa several times.I liked him a lot with her. FWIW).

    So.

    This was a very very good booking for Adam.
    And, he cordially put out a good plug for Kris.

    This is an older interview (before the winner of American Idol was announced)…. Fantabuloso… the interviewer seemed a bit uncomfortable but he was also funny… He wanted to go “down to business and talk about the album” but Adam kept on talking about other things. Maybe Adam felt that the interviewer was a bit uncomfortable and wanted to put him at ease…  Fun interview though…  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=twVtJoXUBgE

    Love this interview. I wish someone would have Adam on their show for the whole programme instead of a few minutes. I love to listen to him talk almost as much as singing.

    The Mariyn Dennis show is a nation wide daytime talk show.  Marilyn is also a morning show dj for Canada’s #1 radio station Chum fm.  Adam interviewed with Chum at 7:45am, then went on the marilyn show which airs live at 10am. Both Carrie and kelly have also had this treatment.

    This was a great interview. Adam showed alot of class. Toronto loves Adam.

    and did he seriously went to a 4 or 5am shows in Canada that no one watches? I’m not good at reading between the lines thing & sometimes I can’t differentiate the truth from sarcasm really:(

    They were sarcastic responses relating to a Canadian poster that earlier was mocking their own TV shows. But yes Canadian people watch them, otherwise they wouldn’t be on the air, just not at the level of audience numbers that of course the most popular American shows get.
