Adam Lambert to Receive Young Hollywood Award Tonight

Adam Lambert is set to receive the “Young Hollywood Artist of the Year” at tonight’s 11th annual Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles.

Idol judge Kara DioGuardi will be presenting the award.

The Young Hollywood Awards are presented by Hollywood Life Magazine, to celebrate young, up-and-coming artists in the world of entertainment.

Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee won “Exciting New Vocalist” in 2007. It must have been those “Open Toes” that did it! Ha ha.

The show will be hosted by The Insider’s Lara Spencer, so expect some coverage from them. Plus, there will be Wire Image and Getty photos galore, I’m sure, so stay tuned for that…

    Hi iluvai! Believe me, I was not commenting on Adam’s weight. I think he is supremely perfect just as he is. When he said he needed to lose 15 pounds, I cringed. He is perfection exactly the way he is. (And excuse me, those “Slow Ride” pants? They were killing me the first time, but now? *shiver*.)

    I was agreeing with Ellie2 that sometimes the appearance of his face changes slightly, day-to-day. We’ve all experienced that, I think.

    Thanks, iluvai, I would hate to think I sounded like I was commenting on anything other than his exceptional … everything (which I revere!). Kris was awesome tonight. I haven’t gone to his thread yet to see how that was perceived.

    *sigh* Maybe I shouldn’t have posted what I did about his skin. I certainly don’t want to say anything that would make him feel badly if he read it.

    I guess I am pretty “matter-of-fact” about it. He’s got skin issues. Who cares? I still think he’s the most beautiful guy on the planet.

    BTW, Kris did great at the Laker game. I was a little nervous for him at first. Singing a cappella in that huge arena. My sister thought she heard people booing when he was introduced (Danny fans?). I didnà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t really notice. It started a little rough, be he hung tough and delivered.
