The RS arrived in Hong Kong afternoon today and within few hours,
they are all sold out in HMV and PageOne chains,the latter did not even put RS on shelves coz all copies are sold from pre order!!

So Glad that I have asked them to hold one for me early this week.

A lot of Adam fans cannot find a copy now because they did not expect Adam is so popular here before.

And the China Adam fans are desperate now coz the predict date of release would be next week here but it actually came out today. So, their plan of visiting Hong Kong next week to buy RS copies are now messed upà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

The R&R HOF contains plenty of artists who aren’t from the rock genre. The broader term “rock and roll” as used here basically refers to all popular, secular music. However, Madonna’s field of music has always been pop/ dance-pop. She has never released anything close to a song that’s actually from the rock-genre to my awareness.

Yes, that’s what I was refrring to– having an authentic “rock and roll background”– coming up the hard way– as opposed to his sound which is pop rock. Although, I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive.

He comes out in the article very against cocaine, cops to smoking pot and trying Ecstasy in Germany. The Burning Man psychedelics were mushrooms (what do you think ‘certain funguses’ are?). OMG he is a drug addict! NOT. I know CEOs, attorneys and Judges who all smoke pot and drink alcohol.

As for Avril Lavigne, she has always been pop or pop-punk at most in my book, never rock. Whatever one might think of her as a performer, she has certainly co-written a number of pretty good songs.

I like Avril. I liked her better before I saw that she featured backup dancers on her tour, but I still like her.

When Avril broke, I considered her more “poppish rock” or maybe just pop-rock, but more so than say Pink or Kelly. Some of her songs definitely had a straight rock vibe. Now, you’re right, she probabaly is just plain old “pop” or maybe a lite version of pop rock.

But, there should NEVER EVER be choreography in anything that is considered rock.

Me too. Tell that to Beck. He takes choreography to whole ‘nutha level. You might want to dial up Madonna too. Also I’m old enough to have seen The Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour (as Shea Stadium I might add! LOL) and there was definately some cool choreography going on with Mick and his back up singers. Damn. It still stands out 19 years later.

It sounds to me like a girl could potentially “get with him”, to some extent, but he might not call you back the next night, if you get my drift. He’d enjoy it for the moment, have a good time, but not look to have a serious, deep, spiritual relationship with a woman, to the extent that he would with some of the men in his life. That was my take on it, at least.

Yeah, I think I may know where Adam’s coming from with that – just from my own personal experience (not to get into too many details!)

It sounds like he’s open to having a good time with sexual expression, openness, what have you, but not necessarily looking to have a girl friend any time soon. There’s a difference, and he kind of hinted at where he might draw the line in the article.

Clever thing with Adam, though, as he so often does, even while being completely open and truthful about himself, he puts that line in there to keep people guessing a little bit down the road, never quite sure where he stands, etc. Very interesting move on his part

While the rock purists might like to believe there is no choreography, a lot of the stage moves of rock bands and artists are actually heavily rehearsed beforehand and less than spontaneous.

Even classic Rock & Roll was heavily choreographed — Little Richard, James Brown and Elvis all did repeatable, planned stage performances.

And with concert tickets of $70 or more, people really expect a big show. In a small venue, I’m OK with a guy and his piano/guitar. But only if he’s good and it’s a reasonable cover charge. When I see someone in an arena or stadium, I want something bigger and memorable. Otherwise, why bother, I can just watch a TV concert.
