I went to watch the Kentucky Derby video, and noticed that the TMF videos are dropping like flies! Maybe this means the REAL song is coming soon?

I keep listening to Time for Miracles and grow to love it more. I find myself even humming it outside the house. Especially during situations that are difficult. It seems to help. Not necessarily the problem goes away but I deal with it better. Yeah…..Now if only the frigging song would get released in the USA for download on Ituems or Amazon.

Whoever compared the attempted removal of these youtube videos to a game of Whack-A-Mole was absolutely dead on.

DAMMIT, going into Adam overload again…*flailing* I was able to download TfM (shh), so I can put it on continuous play. And I do.

I can’t find ET here, either. What is Laura Saltman on? Extra? Any Bostonians (squirrely) know when ET is on? Or I’ll just watch it on youtube. I set the DVR for Wed-Friday for Oprah, b/c Mon and Tuesday had listings but not today and tomorrow. Which means he’ll be on today or tomorrow.

BTW, the Billboard photo is MY FAVORITE ADAM ONE. I wish they could use that as his album cover. I want new music. I am impatient. Oh, and the video as well.

BTW-on the ET Online site there is a link called “Local Show Finder”-you just put in your zip. That’s how I found it here in MI.

Saw the Laura Saltzman piece on the AMA’s on the extended weekend edition of Access Hollywood. They featured the interview segment regarding his future performance on the AMA’s including his statement about wanting to put on a ‘show’ . Laura introduced him as one of her ‘favorite people’  and the male host (don’t know his name) said after the clip, was very positive saying that Adam could definitely give a great performance. It wasn’t a new interview, just a shortened version of the AMA interview.

Had it been me, I would have gone with “Whip It” for the Derby vid.

I just voted for Adam and Kris for the breakout artists at peoplechoice.com (I HATE THAT AWARDS SHOW). THAT TOOK 10 MINUTES. The only categories I cared about were breakout artist, country artist, and rock band (too many, actually–but Muse was there, so I was happy).

So, I just thought about SNL again over the weekend. Apparently Taylor Swift gets Nov 7, which leaves precious little left if Adam were to do it too, especially with doing the AMA’s two weekends later.

Oh, well – it would be great for him to get SNL, but more like icing on the cake at this point, considering all the other primo PR spots he’s picked up already.

I wonder, with this release pattern, if this TFM is a mix especially for overseas markets. Part of my wondering is due to noticing, albeit a number of years back, a different sound to pop music than here in the US. It would be cool to have more than one mix to choose from.

So Billboard, Rolling Stone, the LA Times and EW have all reviewed the song (well, Billboard wasn’t exactly a review) and most have linked to a clip of TfM. Isn’t it about time to release the damn song in the US already?

TfM MV will actually premiere worldwide on 10/27/09 (US).

The TII rollout starts with the red carpet premiere at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on October 27. There will be satellite transmissions of Hollywood stars’ red-carpet arrivals to 15 additional premiere sites around the world, including New York, Rio de Janeiro, London, Berlin and Seoul. The 15 additional premieres of TII will start the film exactly 3 hours after the LA premiere, all at the same time. A full list the premiere sites has not been released but Variety reported there will be premieres in Moscow, Tokyo, Sydney and Paris at a later date. Note: someone may have leaked the full list online but I couldn’t find it and it is not officially released.

On October 28th TII will open to the general public for a two-week run.

Ya gotta love Ann Powers. I so agree with that article, and I am sure some don’t but she really captured exactly how I feel about that song. Some people might get bored by the time he hits that crescendo mark, but I just think it’s a nice buildup. And wow to that Kentucky Derby video! This song just needs accompanying video for some reason. Whether it was the trailer to the movie, the Final Fantasy video, or this one- it just gives it that much more power.

IMO There are NO accidents or leaks happening on the launch of Adam Lambert. The Details photo essay was designed to be out (ET promo and feature on TV), Web coverage, etc. to coincide with the slow “leak” of the full version of TfM in Europe.

This was either one of the most clever PR/marketing campaigns of all time OR a higher power has taken a personal interest in Adam.

Oh, I reserved my copy of Details. The woman at B&N said, Architecture Digest (which is funny, considering I work for an architectural college). I said no. Then she said, OH, Details for MEN. I almost died. I said, Er, I was interested in the cover story, and could she reserve a copy for me. She said, well, we don’t usually do that, but give me your phone number and we’ll call you. It comes in on the 22nd.

I think that answers the question about what will be premiered with TII — looks like it is a special trailer for 2012 that includes Adam’s music video — and that the MV may be released on 10/20/09.

For those of us biting our nails about what Lambert might accomplish with his debut album, this song, custom-made for the upcoming movie “2012,” is neither utterly reassuring or at all discouraging. It’s like a speed trial. Power ballad? Check. What comes next?

Which I think is a very fair assessment.

I’m a happy camper. I went to the small local newstand near work and they carry all the magazines I need to buy in the next few weeks. They still had about 20 of the current Details issue still left, so I’m prolly good for the Lambert edition. Also, the guy that runs it remembers me from the Rolling Stone search and said he’d save me some copies of Details..WIN! He said that he didn’t need to save the Out issue because it usually doesn’t sell out, but that if it looks like it is going fast, he’ll put some aside. (They did sell out of the RS issue at this newsstand, which he told me later.).

I love a newstand owner who understands my Adam love.

Yeah because him coming out in Rolling Stone and reiterating it in the Details article, Kissing his boyfriend in public so pics could be taken, and basically talking every opportunity to clarify he is gay and proud…. screams sell out….Give me break….Sometimes I am so embarrassed to be part of that community. Especially when they try to criticize before thinking how it only hurts them in the long run. ARGH!!!!!!!!!

I am not surprised to hear that from the gays as there was a lot of Adam-bashing during the season. However, I am surprised to hear this from a lesbian.

I’m not surprised at all. Adam is actually hated by a good number of gays.. and has been bashed on some of the blog sites I’ve visited.
There seems to be a fairly sharp generational divide.. many young gays are constantly taking the older ones to task for not appreciating Adam as a young, out, unapologetic entertainer.

Besides, Adam will soon be on the cover of Out magazine. That should tamp a few of the critics.

Adam insists in being himself.. even gays will have to get used to this. He doesn’t pander to any one demographic. In fact he is building his own– the Adam demographic.

I can’t believe how much publicity 2012 is getting via Adam’s TfM leaked song, and upcoming video. Also, what better promotion for both Adam and 2012 for Adams’s TfM video to play before one of the predicted biggest opening movies of the year, TII.

BTW, Q3, did you say Adam would be walking the red carpet for TII?

He brings up an interesting point about TFM being an old school ballad, rather than anything forward, but he seems to place more blame on Adam and co for releasing it before his first single from the album.

The article states that he’s gay. He is proud of who he is and declared it on national television and in the media over and over. I say, who cares? I also don’t believe all these “twitter phenomenons”. I was told that Adam = Kanye was going to be trended last night and there was no evidence that it was anything more than a few fans of other Idols. Didn’t even show up as a blip. I can tell my next-door neighbor that the sky is blue, doesn’t change the color of the sky or inform the majority of America that I think so.

I’m not really sure I get this train of thought. And, not simply for the reason that apparently Adam doesn’t need to sell out sqwat to attract female fans. He sure seems to have a lot of them to me anyway.

But, what I don’t like about it is, that it implies there’s some rule book about how gay people should be in their artistic endeavors. Are the gay actors who play heteros sell-outs too? Or, are they just guys who want to work and like the scripts?

Clearly, Adam is not hiding in the closet at all. And, obviously, the photographer wanted that Details spread to be provocative. I understand a lot of the criticism of those pictures. I don’t necessarily agree, but I get where it’s coming from and how people can differ on that kind of imagery. But the whole “sell-out” thing? I’m just not seeing it.

One of my European twitter followers who hangs out on the gay gossip sites tweeted me that Adam has taken a beating for those Details pic’s. She said he is accused of being a sell-out to get female fans. She says she kinda agrees.

I am not surprised to hear that from the gays as there was a lot of Adam-bashing during the season. However, I am surprised to hear this from a lesbian.

Eh, I’m not convinced droves of “the gays” have any problem at all with the Details photo shoot. My lesbian sister has been with men and would sell her right kidney if she could have Adam Lambert for the evening. My gay brother-in-law’s motto is “any wet hole will do” i.e. even though he prefers men he’ll do a good looking woman in a heartbeat. And a lesbian couple I’ve known for years have had sexual relationships with men over the last 20+ years and I doubt that’s gonna change anytime soon even though they are committed to each other. Adam has said himself that “it wouldn’t matter to his 24-year-old boyfriend”. I know it’s hard for some to believe, but many people can separate sex from love.

Me neither. I went to that gay gossip site during the season and there were a few dissenters to the mean-spirited posts about Adam, but there seemed to be no way to turn the tide of the relentless posts.

I would love to have a discussion with this woman but there are two obstacles. One, I don’t want to do relentless tweeting. Two, it’s hard for a straight woman to tell a gay woman how a gay person should think. I don’t know if I’m expressing this correctly, but you should get my drift.

Interesting, that not what I’ve found. And I really doubt that the Details photos would attract much attention in Europe or Asia.

The French gay sites put up articles and blogs about TfM and 2012 yesterday — but I didn’t even see a mention of the Details article anywhere. I found no press, blog or other online coverage of Adam in Italy. Love to know what country this happened in.

ETA: I have searched extensively for comments accusing Adam of “being a sell-out to get female fans” from anyone — gay or straight — and all I am finding are comments from Adam fans who are worried that Details magazine may “sell out” before they get their copy. LOL! As long as I get my copy, that’s one kind of “sell out” I can live with!

I see what Jim is saying. However, that has NOTHING to do with Adam. I think, typically, that a label would not release two songs by a singer simultaneously, and both are through RCA. However, b/c one is tied into a movie soundtrack and the other is part of a new album, this could be a different situation. And I think that maybe the fact that the singles are so different may help Adam. Two different sides of him (MW, followed by BTBW) didn’t seem to be a problem. I would rather they be separated by a week, but maybe that’s not possible. I wonder, though, with TFM getting so much press, if single TBD will as well. I hope so.

Actually, this woman is the first one that even went as far as “kinda”. The tweets I received last night about the trending were tweets that were just letting me know what was going on. My Twitter pals were trying to counteract this with positive tweets to Adam.

No, I doubt it because that event is a MJ and Jackson family event. I think it is more likely to Randy Jackson (from Idol) than Adam on the red carpet.

He will be on the Red Carpet for AMA (already announced and on the AMA Red Carpet Live! show list) and I expect to see him at 2012 if/when TfM sells.

But I have learned to suspend all rules of logic for the “glittery one” because they just don’t seem to apply.

They must have tomorrow staged for the release. ET got the MV but it may not be exclusive — I am sure they gave MTV and EW something for this week.

Also, Adam should be done recording his album by tomorrow, the track for the album and single will be selected by tomorrow — and I think they want to leverage the press from TfM to build awareness for the TBD single and TBD album. Maybe we get the title of one of the TBD’s for example.

So much has been made of Adam blazing a trail as the first pop star to be openly gay at the start of his career that I, as a gay man, am somewhat disappointed that he chose to market himself this way so early on. If his first music video has him in a clinch with a woman, I will be officially PO’d.

If someone is asked to do a photoshoot, it certainly wouldn’t be their own concept. You put your trust in a seasoned, respected professional photographer. Part of their talent is the concept. If he was photographed with a snake, why not a woman? And she was a lot prettier and sexier than the snake.

Until I hear or read otherwise I think that TfM will be available on the 27th…isn’t that when TII opens Nation wide. This makes the most sense….people see it, people who like it go home and buy it. I don’t think that TPTB care a whoot about us fannies out here.

Adams debut single won’t premier until the 10th of November. TII will be over and the premier of 2012 is the same week. RCA isn’t jive….they aren’t looking for a single to sell an album…they are looking for Adam to sell his album. This gives Adam two full weeks to get out there and promo his album…and then the AMAs are on the 22nd. I am sure that TPTB want people to be familiar with the single but not songed out.

I live in Brazil and it would be a weird conversation here (about being gross). I’ve seem some comments about the shoot being with a woman instead of a man, but nothing beyond it. Cosmo here is much worse…

I think we followed Adam all this time and we feel like if we knew him, its not like a regular celebrity. The feeling about the pics may be more intense because of the supposed proximity, like seing a friend or a member of your family (or whatever) in a mag. in sexy poses. At least its how I feel, what makes the difference between adam’s and zac effron’s shoots.

He will be on the cover of Out magazine as well. Also a strong statement.

And the fact that Adam and Drake have been photographed kissing in public makes a stronger “statement” about his sexuality, IMO, because it IS real life and not just a fantasy.

The feeling about the pics may be more intense because of the supposed proximity, like seing a friend or a member of your family (or whatever) in a mag. in sexy poses. At least its how I feel, what makes the difference between adam’s and zac effron’s shoots.

Personally after seeing the Zac Effron shoot…..(spits) he’s dead to me…

I love that for Adam his sexuality is so fluid and that he is so comfortable with himself and who he is that when handed an undressed female model to pose with, he goes for it with gusto.

If he receives some criticism for this from his own community, that’s not much of a surprise. There are purists everywhere, including the gay community who cannot handle any deviation from their own expectations about how someone who has self-identified as gay should behave.

I think that with all of the autotune crap (talking to YOU, Jamie Foxx, Kanye, etal) on the radio, it will be extremely refreshing to have someone like Adam on the radio who does not sound like Nickleback. Big, authentic voice–wonderful change. All kinds of songs–also amazing. This is what you got with Elton John, with Queen, and now with (IMO) Muse. It’s time for someone like Adam to breakthrough. I like Kris but I would not put him in the “wildly different” category. Adam goes there. And that is why there is so much buzz and anticipation for his music.

I really don’t want to wait till November for his TBD single. I honestly thought that TFM would be released in the states tomorrow (okay, Sunday, but whatever) and then single TBD on the 27th, just about a month before the album drops. I guess RCA doesn’t do it that way, and we do have TFM (THANK GOD), but I was hoping for more. Not to be too greedy.

So much has been made of Adam blazing a trail as the first pop star to be openly gay at the start of his career that I, as a gay man, am somewhat disappointed that he chose to market himself this way so early on. If his first music video has him in a clinch with a woman, I will be officially PO’d.

We should wait to see how he portrays himself in the photographs in OUT magazine. I am hoping that we get an inside photo spread and not just the cover, but I’m not sure. I doubt if he will be posing with a naked woman in that one!!

I don’t think there are as many media outlets for pictures where he is going to be photographed with a man in a sexual way as there are for him being pictured with a woman. Details just isn’t going to do it. Maybe OUT will. I don’t know. It’s not like he can schedule these photoshoots in the way he wants them to be. Details came first and OIT came second. He’s following their schedule; they’re not following his schedule.

Over time there will be a wide variety of photos. Because I’ve seen all his online photos, I thought it was fun to see him with a woman because in my head most of the images include other men!! What has become of me?!?

By this time straights, gays, male, female, aliens – should all be used by now that Adam is indescribable . There is always an element about him that escapes being boxed and turned generic.
He cannot be only one thing but can be many things as he enjoys role playing. Even his music will not stay the same .
Now we are supposed to get some kind of glam rock revival sort of but we will not be sure until we hear the album.
Being that chameleon , he becomes whom the viewer , listener, reader wants him to be . There is a sense that you have the freedom to think of him the way you want to , and that will be your own private Adam together with his music.

Well, I went to purchase my ticket for next Tues evening and was willing to stay up for the midnight show because I would be one of the very first to see Adam’s MV. I specified Tues midnight show and got a ticket.

When I got home I saw the ticket said the 28th. I went back to the theater to exchange the wrong ticket. It was pointed out to me that midnight on the evening of the 27th was actually the 28th. I felt a little silly but it was a small embarrassment.

And then he goes home and takes off his costume and slips out of his personna and is just– Adam. The man who loves being in love and who wants his mom to by his side. No, not with his current record label, but in past modeling gigs, Blueblood magazine and some of his earlier music gigs. All you have to do to find them is google his name or – for two of them – look for one of my posts just a little bit earlier in this thread.

I’m pleased to report that Adam’s first official single, “Time For Miracles,” checks all three boxes. Now the bad news, it takes two minutes and 22 seconds to get there.

But, to me, this is not early on at all. Maybe it’s because I’ve repeatedly (guilty ) viewed his Art for Life “Crazy” performance where he is dancing ONLY with women and was very provocative in the way he shaped out the form of the woman’s derriere and ‘slapped’ it in some of his moves. Too, I’ve seen more than one Zodiac number where he is tonguing a woman in one and being “cupped” and stroked rather lovingly a woman in another. (Sorry to be so descriptive but needed to do so to illustrate my point.)

All this to say, the Details photo shoot in no way shape or form was a sell out or anything new from my perspective. He got up close and personal before.

Adam’s sexuality is his personal life. His music, videos, magazine spreads, etc. are his professional life. Why should his professional life be defined by his personal life? Why can’t we accept the fact that his management team want to give Adam as wide a career as possible? If gay Adam can be accepted by mainstream America as a straight romantic lead, he has accomplished something amazing. I remember the time when African-American actors weren’t seen as romantic leads. Then came Denzel Washington and it was okay to be black and sexy.

Not all the photos posted about are private. He has been a professional model and singer who has posed or performed professionally with men.

There is a video taken on the last night at Manchester, by the buses, taken by someone on the ramp of the parking lot. Adam is consoling Megan. It is a very heart wrenching moment – actually it goes on for five minutes. Megan has her arms locked around Adam’s neck; Adam has his hands around her waist. They are rocking, hugging, and kissing – yes, kissing, for the whole time.

The same person has a continuation video of Allison off to the side with some guy. At first it appeared that they were fighting as Allison was cursing. But then Allison and the guy are hugging and face to face, cheek to cheek, with Allison’s hand entangled in the guy’s hair. It looks like they must have had a heavy make-out session, but Allison was at the wrong angle for taping.

The video was taken down and then I found it somewhere else. It is in my 300+ bookmarks somewhere.

I think Adam is getting GREAT promotion! And I think it’ll be good for Adam to have 2 different sounds out there. Some will like TFM and others will like his more “glammy” sound. Some of us will like both. I think people obsessed with Idol are thinking about it too deep.

I am absolutely stunned that people expect Adam to carry the flag for a particular cause or agenda. Why the hell would he have to do that? He wants to be a singer and an entertainer, and he’s already been incredibly brave by coming out publicly when it would have been so easy for him to go the Clay Aiken route.
Adam has been open and honest about who he is, and considering that he is just starting his music career, the simple act of acknowledging (proudly) that yes, he’s gay, in an incredibly conservative and homophobic country is ballsy beyond belief.
Not to mention the fact that he doesn’t hide his relationship with his bf, and doesn’t shy away from a little PDA when the cameras are in his face. Good for him!
Just by being who he is, he has already changed the game. Perhaps in time he will use his platform to speak out on causes that are near to his heart. If so, great, but right now he needs to focus on getting himself known and getting his music heard by as many people as possible. And if some sexy silly photos with a girl help him to do that, I’m glad that he was given that opportunity.

Zsus, I addressed that point too – or at least I thought I did. its going to be up to the mainstream media to be forward thinking enough to protray Adam as the person he has gone to great pains in shwoing the world he is. He doesn’t care what the object of his affections are in his performance pieces and neither whould his handlers. My point was we “the public” have seen Adam in these situations before so, IMHO it would be silly -on everyone’s part – to pretend like this part of Adam didn’t exist.

So far his management has let him decide when , where and how he would respnd to questions about his sexuality. (they asked him how he wanted to respond to the Cheeks pics, he decided on the RS article) I trust that they aren’t going to try to censor him now.

Adam is a natural performer. He will play to his audience. And whatever way he decides to handle it will be a very good thing.

I’m with you sidewalk story. He was just tucking his chin under in the video. Do you remember the converation he and Michelle Collins had on Best Week Ever a LONG time ago about how to avoid being photographed with the double chin? And anyone who has ever watched on episode of ANTM knows there are tricks to make your neck long and lean. Again- I am sure there was some photoshop chiseling done, but not to the extent that it is in any way as blatant as Kelly and Jordin.

Yes, you can get a completely different look, even from one side of your profile to the other. Then you throw in different angles, and like you mentioned, a tilt of the head up, elongates the neck. Even the nose looks different. Adam’s front view nose looks small. A 3/4 profile, his nose looks quite a bit bigger, even showing a bridge. When you hang your head down, and have pic taken from above, the nose looks bigger yet. Complete profile Adam’s nose is very straight. Got the picture?

Don’t like the title-not cool in any way. Music Again would’ve been better, if it needed to be a song on the album. Does this mean there is a song on the album by that name?

For starters, we can chart GLAAD, MADD, SADD, L’Chaim, SAG, PETA, Greenpeace, the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, the Libertarian Party, the U.S.M.C., AMPAS, NOW (I’m sure they approve!) and the Girl Scouts of America ‘“ that should get us started.

Before judging the title… I need the album cover. Either it works for the visual… or it doesn’t. Now THAT will be the test.

Amazon does periodic updates of the Best Seller page — it is updated in real time.

I think “For You Entertainment” is OK and might be good in the right context.

given that he wants the album to be a mix of songs that make us dance, feel sexy, cry, (insert every other emotional experience he has mentioned) i would say the title is appropriate – he is going to entertain us and take us on a ride.

i also think it goes along with so many comments he has made about him trying to connect with an audience, play a role, perform, put on a show, DRESS UP. it might not be the most revolutionary album title, but i think it fits with his “mission” and with who he is. how many times has he reiterated it is about having fun and being entertained?…”it’s not that deep, man.”

Part of me feels this is not the title (sounds more like what Hi Fi changed the title of their Adam demo Album. Originally Titled On with the Show) the other part thinks good idea for title because that is what he wants to offer and if it is eclectic as he has said this will convey he is not pigeonholed into one genre but giving an Album that will completely entertain. Like his description of one of the songs–“Guys have faith in me I will not let you down.”

All I can really say is….Adam I have faith and even if you stayed with TBD as the title. I would buy your album..My only complaint is…..Give me music NOW from whatever the hell your will call you album…

I like your logic, twinkle and will keep that in mind as I try to warm up to it. Right now I’m feeling rather underwhelmed. I’m glad it’s not self-titled, but it just seems so trite or generic. But you’re right ‘“ there are so many ways they can play with it.

I like it. I think this is what Adam has said many times. These are certainly not quotes but he has said many times, things along the line of ‘I am an entertainer’. ‘That is what I do’. I enjoy the fact that he wants his personal life separate from his professional life and that he looks at this as ‘entertainment’. Nothing more or less. Take it or leave it. Yes, he is very refreshing.

Seems like we are not allowed to eat, sleep or do anything human – RCA and 19M springs something out on us while we pretend to be human.

At this point , it does not matter what the title is. As long as the cover artwork is entertaining and the music is Entertaining with a capital E.

They probably could not figure out how to describe the album , and it just cannot be Adam Lambert as The Adam Lambert is more than just say 14 songs.

All is still great.

I wonder if that is a line in a song on the CD. He did say he thought it was cool to name an album from a line on a song.

Well I think that if “For Your ENtertainment” was accompanied by some totally whacked out album art – like S&M ringmaster on Venus or something, it could be VERY hot.

Not overly excited by either Adam’s or Allison’s album titles. Don’t hate ‘em, don’t love ‘em. Just really “meh”. But I don’t care much about that anyway. If the music on the album is great, it doesn’t matter what the title is. Likewise, if the music is lousy, it doesn’t matter what the album’s called.

For Your Entertainment… reminds me of the Foo Fighters’ In Your Honor as far as titles go. Not brilliant but at least not self-titled.

My problem with the title wasn’t that it was Cher or show tunes, is that was derivative of Circus and Funhouse to me. Those are the first two things I thought of. Well after the Goodfellas quote.

I think this title may sound generic, but may stir up some controversy if not some conversation as some quarters will have different images cropping up in their minds.
To each his/her own interpretation … Just three words … a whole new meaning can be evoked as it is tagged with Adam Lambert.

You have Britney’s Circus, Pinks Funhouse,, Lady Gaga the Fame, and still paying homage to his Idol Mercury/Queen (A Night at the Opera) and now Adam’s For Your Entertainment…I like this on so many levels I can’t not begin to elaborate. But off the bat it shows that he does stay true to himself. He is always saying it ain’t that deep . Well the title is just that a fun title that the contents will surely Entertain.. OMG OMG OMG Yeah….There are storm clouds in them skies

By the way I was hoping for “Welcome to Planet Fierce” and if the music is F-ing amazing no one is going to give a s**t what the title is called.

I like it. Fits his innate sense for performance. Like many things I think context (like the cover, maybe even theme of interior art) will be key to helping it work.

Sometimes, accompanying graphics (including font) can make the difference between cool, twisted, cheesy or lame, no matter the title.

honestly, following this guy is an absolute riot! haven’t been this “entertained” in years. Oh, Adam (or Adam’s people), why that title ? Sigh……………………..

Well if you think about it’ ¦.it sort of stays within the theme of Titles of Albums today. You have Britney’s Circus, Pinks Funhouse,, Lady Gaga the Fame, and still paying homage to his Idol Mercury/Queen (A Night at the Opera) and now Adam’s For Your Entertainment’ ¦I like this on so many levels I can’t not begin to elaborate. But off the bat it show that he does stay true to himself. He is always saying it ain’t that deep . Well the title is just that a fun title that the contents will surely Entertain.. OMG OMG OMG Yeah’ ¦.There are storm clouds in them skies

That helps. Just have to absorb this some more. This may be like the PTFMWB thing. I thought that would suck, but it turned out great.

I think Adam should stick to the “heterosexual” photo shoots because once he started talking…forget about it. Although it took the “ick” out of the pics.

plus, FYE opens up lots of fun performance concepts… which may or may not include “FLAMES COMING OUT OF MY HEAD”

i consider this a mix of “this show is for you” and “let me be your plaything” …. two things he infuses into everything – performance and sexuality.

Heck, next week will be the 27th, less than a month from the drop date. They can’t possibly really debut the single at the AMA’s, can they? Oh Gawd, please, hell to the no!

Yes, I’m sure you are right. It is obviously tied to the photo shoot and cover art. I keep seeing that top hat picture from the Seebree (sp?) shoot. (I only see the Michellin Man in my nightmares.)

You know, I like everything Adam has done so far, the decisions he made on AI forward, so I am going to give this the benefit of the doubt. Nuff said.

Im with you Clearone….Actually that title was perfect for Adam because it would represent not knowing what to expect from him and also would be sort of the feelings of most of us to what our final analysis of his music would be…… To be determined.

For Your Entertainment — wow, that’s really bad. Did he chose that title. He had to because 19 almost always goes with the name. I’m scared for the album cover.
We could have another “unicorn” on our hands.

Maybe, it’s just a fun album. Then the title could work.

I think if you think about the title using a ‘dirty mind’ it fits Adam perfectly. And if you think about it from a cheesy-broadway perspective it sounds like a lame broadway song name. Those who are not a fan of Adams will think ‘broadway’ and those with dirty minds will think ‘yes please’. And some will think something else entirely. It makes people talk, and isn’t that a good thing?

ETA: I dont think Allisons title name fits her. I would’ve liked something kinda spunkier I guess.

I LOVE the title!!! It sums up Adam perfectly.

I have a feeling that the cover will be batshit crazy as well as some of the tunes, so’ ¦a simple, classy, non-hokey and possibly tongue-in-cheek title makes sense.

And the fact that FYE is a record store makes me giggle.

In a way he is so edgy he doesn’t conform to the stereotypical idea of Edgy. Adam has (for me anyway) made me rethink what IS the norm or what IS suppose to be by showing me that IS ISN’T necessarily predestined or predetermined. There is a lot to be said for simplicity.

Also consider that most people won’t just see the title alone, plain and unadorned. They’ll see it with the font and graphics. That will be what makes or breaks what most people will think about it.

Sorry but I thought the combination of Adam laughing about the pictures and the panties was not very hetero. So it actually took the edge off the “erotic images” so to speak. Sorry if I’m being blunt but that’s how it came across to me. At least he has a sense of humor. He’s putting out the gay and straight image at the same time and that kind of made the pictures seem playful. To me anyway.

LOL there are 388 comments, but nothing in the MJ’s write up. If he said “4 ur entertainment” YEAH. That means they decided on the title a long time ago and they were doing the photo shoot to support the concept. YEAH. Here is to hoping it all makes sense later.

Now that he’s out of the recording studio and he’s busy deciding on stuff for his album and the cover art is finished, will we get the cover art soon? I mean I don’t see why not, unless they’re waiting till the TFM buzz dies down and THEN release it. But that doesn’t sound reasonable to me.
