Derek Sheldon, a self-described “entertainment reporter” claims that Adam Lambert’s New Year’s Eve Gridlock gig will be televised, but not on a major network. Word is the performance will end up on Pay Per View or an exclusive cable deal:

A high ranking press source whom works for Gridlock 2010 has informed me only moments ago Adam Lambert has a very high possibility of being televised while he headlines at Gridlock’s New Year Eve NYC themed event in Los Angeles, CA December 31st, 2009. What I can tell you 100% for sure is that he will NOT be picked up by any major network. What I am hearing is Adam Lambert will have a STRONG possibility to appear via a live stream Pay Per View event and possibly on a cable stations such as Comcast Pay Per View.

A bunch of peeps including me posted on the gridlock site and anywhere else we could (including mj’s of course) that a pay per view concert could be a win for red cross-the charity for nye and the sponsors. I thought about leaving a phone message of Adam singing “is anybody listening?” sort of like a ring tone. Let’s hope someone was!

Too bad it’s not televised, Adam is one person I would actually watch on tv; otherwise on NY I am half asleep, tipsy, busy partying,’distracted’, totally asleep.
