Seems like the Idols are as excited for the tour as the fans are. I hope they can keep up the camaraderie and the enthusiasm, because it’s going to be a long hot summer …

Adam is always “on”. Sounds like he’s full speed ahead on the album. And Amy Winehouse seems like a really good match for Megan Joy.

There’s also another video interview with Kris and Allison (among others) on the Access Hollywood site.

I’m intrigued about Megan doing the Amy Winehouse song — that seems like a good match for her quirky style/voice.

I hope Megan is more relaxed on the tour he Regis & Kelly performance was way better than her show performances. She needs to loosen up.

That Amy Winehouse song could be really good for Megan. She sounded really good in her audition, if I remember correctly–if she could always sound like that, she’d be nice to listen to.

Bowie medley…so good.

Saltman is way too over the top for Adam – can barely squeeze in a question for Megan. Fortunately, Megan takes it all in stride. Adam is very coy at times – love his playfulness. Makes me laugh.

Poor Megan Joy, Laura is just so into Adam. From now on when they interview him nobody else should be in the interview, he’s too much of a star already and it makes the rest look like amateurs.

Love that Adam wants a band out on stage with him when performing live. And I love that he isn’t trying to be a “male Lady GaGa.”

These interviews are not meant to be fair and equitable….and what do you ask Megan and Anoop and Matt that hasn’t been asked and answered a million times. They don’t have contracts, aren’t recording, and aren’t real talkative and forthcoming. I am sure that Laura tried hard to get some good responses.

So the poor guy editing the interviews for publication is now stuck with 3 people who aren’t real interesting and a fourth who says all the right things, interviews well, is a wealth of information, and the listening public wants to hear. Wonder what ends up on the finished tape?

I have a solution for the over crowding on the boys bus. Let Adam and Kris (the “safe” ones) bunk with the girls! Problem solved. :tongue_wink_ee:

If I hear you right, you are saying that Adam has the “it” factor. At least they tried to mix it up a bit having Adam carry Meghan in an interview. I wish they would split up the Anoop/Matt pairing. There isn’t a whiff of chemistry in those interviews. Maybe have the guys take turns interviewing with Lil Rounds and Allison or something.

That’s a bummer. I really hope, though, that this idea got peeps thinking (ahem – 19/Fox) and that they’ll make it happen. Fox is all about the cross-promotion (hence AI with Glee to begin with), and Adam would be perfect in a cameo on that show (say, as the lead singer in a rival group!) Plus, it could air right before the album drops in the fall!

Very happy to hear about the Bowie medley songs! That will be great! I feel like we know all but one of Adam’s tour songs now (and I’m guessing the last one will be another Idol song – fingers crossed that it’s either WLL or BoW (I would DIE if I saw him perform WLL live :jittery_tb:)

Ugh. I’m over the “bromance.” Don’t get me wrong, I love their friendship. It’s wonderful to see. But some people (not necessarily those here) have taken it to icky extremes and Adam is clearly uncomfortable every time people talk about the so-called “crush.” As Adam said in the Seacrest interview after Ryan harped on it annoyingly, “Hey, I’m also a singer!” There is a line, and I personally feel that a lot of people have crossed it (read the YouTube comments!) and are venturing into uncomfortable territory by projecting their personal fantasies onto these guys. Sending feathers to glam Kris up was cute. Sending earphones so they can cuddle, not so cute.

LOVE the Bowie songs, and the idea of bringing up the band!

Agree – the gay questions and comments from these dopey interviewers – including the slimy Ryan – have gotta go – really getting old and annoying. Great how Adam keeps his cool and Kris has his back. Two terrific guys.

Thinking about the tour just reminded me about Adam’s interview not to long ago when he was talking about fan gifts and the tour. I remember that he specifically asked that fans not “gift” him because he has way to many accessories as it is and that they donate money instead to their favorite charity. I was thinking how nice it would be if fans did this for all the idols. Just handed them a nice card indicating that X dollars had been donated in their name to such and such charity.

Oh yay, Megan and Adam! My original fave (yup, I was a Megan fan until she showed her lack of musical instincts) and the one who ended up being the first Idol I ever cared about post-show.

I still really like Megan and look forward to seeing her sing songs she wants to sing (her inexperience really showed).

Does Adam not turn ANY entertainment reporter into a blathering fangirl? What is up with that? Don’t answer that, because I already know. I’ve interviewed and met many celebrities, but if I was doing entertainment right now? I would FEAR having to interview Adam because I know I’d be ridiculous. I think I’d be less freaked by Obama, Pitt and Clooney (all at once) these days.

I’m really glad to hear that Megan is singing Amy Winehouse – that should be a great fit for her. There’s something about her that I really like.

I think Matt and Anoop together are great, except…that they don’t have a record deal and seem a bit uncertain about next steps. So Laura didn’t really have a lot to talk to them about (and yes, she was totally fantarding on Adam).
