What’s so funny about hacking into someone’s personal account, it’s like breaking into someone’s home, it’s not funny it’s criminal.

I’m so weary of internet crime, I never post personal details or use the same user name or password.

No. Diana DeGarmo was hacked by an obsessed stalker. It was worse, because this person was nuts and wouldn’t leave her alone until Diana had her prosecuted. She’s in jail in Australia, where the crime occurred.

It’s largely people not bothering to change default passwords, or as MJ mentions, using passwords too easy to guess. But not actual hacking. The real problem is if people leave their on-line banking exposed.

- I always take those baseless reports about him being a diva in the group as a grain of salt. You can always tell that he maintains a good interaction with them and with the band. They go to him for advice on how to improve their performance and so far it’s working.

Hacking or not, accessing someone’s email account without permission–even if you know their password–constitutes a felony under federal law. I recently had a client who was prosecuted for accessing the email accounts of his former co-workers (who utilized simple individualized default passwords).

What’s so bizarre is that it appears that Adam’s site (AdamOfficial.com) is functioning without Admins!

The moderators there STILL have not yet removed the spam-fake tweet from the hackers, that was posted there on the Home Page 26 hours ago!

Me and dozens of others have been pleading in the Comments section since yesterday to get them to delete it.. it’s as if it’s total anarchy there, with no Admins or Mods paying attention to anything!

I’ve just tweeted Matt, Danny & Anoop and asked them to let Adam know he needs to wake up his site Admins, who are obviously asleep at the wheel!

I also tweeted Adam (altho I doubt he’ll see it since his account is probably frozen for now…)

(Imho, if I was Adam or on his marketing team, I’d fire the Admins over there, whose heads are in the sand – or are elsewhere. How can they explain this obvious total lack of appropriate site management?) :sad_wp:

I’m thinking it may be a little more than just using the same password everywhere. As someone else mentioned, it has looked like 19 was running the MySpace and Facebook pages for a while now. Also, if it was just a password issue, it would be a quick/easy fix – an admin just resets them to something new. Rumor has it that twitter is notoriously slow with this stuff, but I don’t think the MySpace, Facebook & Email would also ALL be that slow.

I like the sunglasses personally, but as cute as it would be I don’t think they’re Adam’s. I’m ~pretty sure Kris is wearing the same ones here: http://tinypic.com/m/501qj9/3 and that’s an old picture, as well as the day of the last concert (with his MJ t-shirt).

A worrisome thing about all this is the glaring hole in Adam’s management/PR staff. Yesterday, the hack tweet was up for two hours and people were all over the internet about it. It was even a Twitter hashtag, #adamwashacked.

Surely, on a verified account there must be Twitter measures where a celeb’s PR people can call and say: Hacked! And they take it off. But that didn’t happen. Which means:

1) No one was monitoring anything.
2) They let him Tweet by himself?!?!?

While for the average person Twitter may be a fun way to keep in touch, for a celebrity – or a business – Twitter is a PR distribution tool. It’s like advertising, except people volunteer to be promoted to by becoming followers. (And some of the unsigned Idols are using it to build their brand, and have a “platform” to impress labels with potential buyers). Unless you’re a journalist, or some kind of experienced brand executive biz or tech type, if you’re looking for a long haul ace image, it’s not that advisable to be doing it unchaperoned. Can’t imagine they didn’t give him a long lecture on it.

It doesn’t matter that Adam is savvy, charming, kind, witty, or like Kris, realizing one helps one brand by keeping Tweeting to a minimum. Still can’t believe that PR people aren’t at least monitoring it all the time to keep tabs on what he does. All they have to do is become followers.

I don’t think so, the shape is wrong. Kris’s aren’t nearly as ugly as Adam’s are. And besidese they look like the shape of sunglasses he had when fans took pics of him outside the buses.

Adults of legal age can order and consume beer, wine and hard liquor at bars, pubs, restaurants and a variety of other establishments throughout the state. In the past, a “private club membership” was required to enter bars. That requirement has been eliminated.

Maybe they all decided to imbibe.

I enjoy the bubble tweets, and seeing the Idols interact with one another.

Ok, watching those bubbletweets was seriously cruel – I wanted them to go on about ten minutes longer just hanging out with those dudes (and brief, hilarious gangsta cameo by Kris = WIN!)

Apparently it wasn’t just directed at either Adam or Allison or even AI, per se. Someone else who lives in San Jose said on another board that this same group (all three of them….LOL) is there for every show at that arena — not just the American Idols or Adam. They’re apparently equal oppotunity nutters. She said she saw them there for Disney on Ice once. My guess is that they’re cousins of those inbred freaks from that church in texas that shows up at veteran’s funerals to protest.

I bought a program and in it each Idol is asked who was/is their best friend from the show and all of the Idols were listed as being someone’s best friend other than Scott. Scott also said in his interview section that he planned to write music in his down time. I think maybe Scott likes to keep to himself. Having his brother with him 24/7 probably doesn’t give him much encouragement to make close friendships with the others either, unfortunately.

Hopefully, Adam is back up on Twitter soon…even though he doesn’t use it as much as I would like.

I love Adam descending down upside down on these things, it is cracking me up! They are all so cute.

I saw a photo of Scott with some of them (I think it was Danny, Matt and Michael, along with his brother) in the last day or so when they were out and about, and someone on here mentioned that he had been seen out with Adam and some of the others for breakfast awhile back. So I think he does socialize at least to some extent with the others, but he may just be a person who needs more “alone” time.

His disability alone inevitably sets Scott somewhat apart from the group, there’s no getting around that. I’m not particularly a fan of his, but I think people should cut him some slack. This whole experience can’t be that easy for him.

I always kind of wondered if Scott had some kind of high functioning Aspergers autism or something- just the way he speaks and his hand movements – and that could be one reason he doesn’t seem to be comfortable socializing with everyone.

Sorry for misleading – I also thought it was directed at Adam – and can’t really imagine who else they would be protesting, just from a “what to protest” standpoint. But enough rabble rousing.

I agree about cutting Scott some slack – his disability definitely would naturally put him at more of a disadvantage in terms of doing group things together, which is really unfortunate. I hope they all get along, because being inclusive with Scott would be the only right thing to do.

The RCA run sites have always had issues with their forums. They don’t monitor them well, and this goes all the way back to Justin Guarini’s time on RCA. No point in getting bent out of shape because it won’t change anything.

I just figured that maybe his body language wasn’t quite the same as other people’s because he can’t SEE what “normal” body language looks like.

I think he does very well with body language and conversation considering he doesn’t have the same visual input that other people do.

I’ve also noticed people commenting that he tends to go on and on when he talks….that may also be due to not being able to see other people’s faces and body language in response to what he says.
