That “Strut” song just sounds completely ridiculous to me, haha.

MJ, I believe there is also another cut, title unknown, written by Adam, Alisan Porter, and Ferras.

So basically we don’t know anything new. I know Alisan Porter and Aimee Mayo have both been tweeting anxiously about whether their songs made the cut, but haven’t heard anything yet.

There’s a strong rumor @ Pulse that What Ya Want From Me (the Pink/Max Martin song) is Adam’s lead single and it was the RCA site that accidentally spoiled it. Has this been debunked? Here’s a screencap by starsprinkles that is the basis for the rumor:

I wonder when well find out more? I wonder who wrote Aftermath,it’s an interesting Title. Strut does sound funny but yet interesting. I forgot to tell my sister when it’s coming out. They have internet but don’t use it much so I don’t think she knows when it comes out. Out of the people that live with my mom 2 we’re Adam fans 1 one Danny and the other 1 like Kris. But all of them like Allison alot too.I really what to know what the finally ones are and espically his single.

That was debunked last week. The screencap originally appeared on Adam Official. The person who posted it would not/could not provide the link where she got it from. AINow contacted 19E who stated that the rumor was untrue and the single had not been selected. AFter that, Lyndsey Parker heard 4 songs, 3 of which she named and the 4th which she would not even give the title. Speculation is that the 4th song may be the single, thus her not revealing the title. The Pink/Max Martin song title has already been discussed in the EW article, making it even more likely that it’s not the single.

But with Adam, who knows? The screencap, however, was determined to be a hoax.

There is a great thread over on IDF in the Adam board that is tracking up-to-date info about his album and the rumored/confirmed tracks. They are doing a lot of detective work via Twitter and email to get it all compiled and confirmed. It’s pretty cool!

Hoping big time that “Sleep Walker” and the Ferras/Alisan (untitled?) song make the cut..

Aimee Mayo and Ferras are such brilliant songwriters..

Apparently Adam also was going to do a song that Aimee & Ferras wrote in Nashville for him recently, but that one wasn’t accepted unfortunately…

(P.S. looking forward to Ferras’s new album which he’s currently working on as well…)

With 12 tracks showing in the list above, I hope there’s at least one more to be added making a total of 13. 12 tracks without TfM would be ideal. I’d hate to think it isn’t a bonus track and is replacing another song.

I just remember how excited I was 12 months ago because of Cook’s album, and I don’t want to feel the same kind of appointment with Adam’s music. I believe in him, but not in the timing of this whole process.

So far, I know I love the song that doesn’t have anything to do with the sound of the rest of the album. But then again, I like to believe that I have a wide musical taste, so we’ll see .

I still think they were waiting the make the decision on the first single until they finished the Lady Gaga track and saw how it turned out. I don’t really want that to be the first single because I’m afraid he will be stuck with the Lord Gaga title. I also hope he has a couple of co-writes on the album as I think that will help him to get more cred in the business. Oh, the agony of waiting!

What is taking them so long to pick a single? The wait is getting me nervous.

There’s been a lot of speculation, based on twitter, that Aftermath is the Alisan/Ferras/Adam song produced by (probably) Howard Benson.

And it seems like at least one song from Greg Wells and RedOne will be on there.

I AM JUST A WEE-BIT CONCERNED FOR ADAM:

To say he is over-exposed at this point considering his album hasn’t even been released would be an understatement. The problem with adoration is that it’s like a hot fire, it can burn out quickly.

The greatest weapon of anyone’s enemy is ridicule. A guy like Adam is gonna have enemies out there. Not just homophobes, but people that never have liked his style and just don’t get the hype Adam is getting vs someone like Kris (who won), for example.

My worry is that when “Time For Miracles” plays before the Michael Jackson Film, there may actually be some boo-birds out there who resent Adam being pimped along-side the established greatness of MJ. Also, face it, TFM just isn’t that great of a song – I love Adam and he did the best he could with it – but no one would accuse that song of having a “modern” sound. I listen to the radio a lot and considering it went to #8 on iTunes, I haven’t heard a sing spin in my market here. Maybe others have.

So, in conclusion, I can’t recall any artist ever being so “pre-pimped” before his album even comes out. Kinda like Obama winning a Nobel “in-advance” of actually accomplishing anything – there could be a backlash.

I bet that if Adam could do it all again, he never would have agreed to TFM since it really isn’t the sound he is after.

Hope I’m wrong. The bar is set really really really high at this point.

I like Adam, and I think he’ll do well. It just drives me crazy when he’s referred to as a rocker. I guess what some consider rock isn’t what others consider rock. Glam-rock? Remains to be seen. Let’s see how techno-pop this album is. Here’s the thing though – looking at this track list and the credits, Adam has only co-written a couple of songs. The media has hyped him in the rock genre but not playing an instrument and not writing the bulk of his album will put the kabosh on him entering the “real” rock world anytime soon. I neither make those rules nor like them, it’s just the reality of rock snobbery. Daughtry and Cook can’t even get on alternative rock radio yet, much less mainstream and active rock. Cook has an indie rocker background and has made tons of connections in the rock world, and now has a named band (most of the guys were in a band with him before Idol), and wrote most of his album, and yet even he can’t get on rock radio. Maybe there are two things we refer to when we say “rock” – the specific radio format, and the genre in broader terms.

Anyway, just an observation and opinion here. Doesnt’ mean Adam won’t find huge success on CHR & HAC and be considered a legitimate, talented recording artist and live performer. Just the “rock” thing kind makes me nuts LOL!

Aimee’s song with her husband and Ryan Tedder should have a good chance, I bet, since Aimee’s song with Ferras, as mentioned, didn’t make it and Tedder has been working w/ Adam, per previous posts. I have no idea about Alisan’s, but since she and Adam are good friends from Zodiac, I bet he would push for her if he liked the song. I agree: there has got to be at least one song from the RedOne collaboration. And it will be unfortunate if TfM is one of the 12 tracks and not a bonus track, ala Cook’s ToML, since a lot of fans, e.g., me, already downloaded it.

But with Adam, who knows? The screencap, however, was determined to be a hoax.

How was it determined to be a hoax? I can believe the admins at adamofficial.com were doing maintenance on the site, and through some glitch this woman was taken to the page she screencapped. Now, it could have been nothing but a placeholder and they were just using WDYWFM randomly, not because it’s truly the first single.

MJ, do you know anything about that AI Now website? I’m finding it hard to trust their information, mainly because of some stuff that went down when Adam’s twitter was hacked.

I honestly don’t think Adam is looking to be accepted on rock radio—at least not with this debut CD. From the interview yahoo did with Cavallo, it sounds like there will be glam rock and songs in which a classic rock foundation is given a “modern” twist. I believe it will be an eclectic record.

I will say, there are lots of definitions of “rock.” Especially in the current music scene.

I’m kinda glad that Adam isn’t writing a lot because honestly ;based on pre-idol stuff, it kind of sucks. Maybe he has written some good stuff but that isn’t really part of his vibe. I love him no matter what but please, none of this: bendy bendy bangy bangy lose your mind on all my candy…..

What I am happy about is that while Adam may have only written, “a handful of songs,” he is clearly involved in the production process according to Cavallo and tweets from others he has worked with. He is definitely more than a “hired singer” and that’s enough for me at this point.

regarding another song by Ferras and Allisan…I do remember a tweet by Adam in the past that they were all in the studio with Eli and he thanked Ferras and Allisan for doing backup vocals so that is another song that may be on track

It’s not the album track listing Adamme. This is just stuff taken from IDF and other sources as to possible songs that we know he’s recorded so far. They seem to be the songs as reported on twitter, EW, Lyndsey Parker and other sources. He’s recorded at least 25 songs, so these are just the titles that have been gathered. I still think that Strut was probably produced by Redone. He was in the studio with Adam at the time those photos of Adam were taken and Strut was discussed.

FYI — that list was put together by IDF_Adam Lambert.

And it is a guess — not the list. I would be shocked if nothing by RedOne or Greg Wells makes the list.

The list in it’s orginal form is well researched and documented — a piece was just lifted out and is all over the Web.

No Justin’s too young to have been in The Sweet … The Sweet were a popular 70′s glam rock band .. only two of the original members are still alive unfortunately … the surviving members still play in two seperate reincarnations of the band I believe though.

I think Lindsay was just mentioning the Sweet as they had a very similar glam rock sound and feel to them .. like The Darkness. I loved The Sweet

Aside from Aimee Mayo’s song, I do hope that at least one of RedOne’s track will land in Adam’s album. RedOne was one of the very first producers who came out and showed his support to Adam

OK…so my first love is and will always be Pink Floyd…but I have never been able to classify them or their music…at times it’s psychedelic rock, at times glam rock, and then you have the Wall, and then the post Waters era when it was more soft rock. Help me please…so I can understand some of this stuff and where I would put Adam’s “rock” sound…not his electro sound (that I understand).

29 days???? That is such a long time…. it was funny at school my friend was like “One month till the album!!!” and she didnt even watch american idol this year. I guess she was converted when I took her to the tour…. I am really excited for the RedOne track also. I might be one of the only ones here who prefers pop/dance/glam to rock Adam and I don’t give a damn if they play him on rock radio stations. Those too cool for school hipsters won’t touch any idol music with a ten foot pole. Although I wouldnt be playing Cook or Daughtry if I was them either…

Yes, there were pictures taken at the Star Magazine anniversary party. This was the event he and Drake were pictured at carrying the white gift bags. The Kiss night. I haven’t seen the Star Magazine pic, but there are pics from the party of Adam and Ferras together.

It was posted somewhere that there were about 28 songs to pick from so there are alot not listed. I wouldn’t be suprised if RedOne produced the Strut one. That was the first one leaked and RedOne worked with Adam before the tour.

I don’t think you can give IDF credit for coming up with a song list. It isn’t like the list is secret. They are even listed on TWOP.

Access hollywood behind the scenes video of TFM…I had not seen this one

Actually, although Red One was the first producer his interview sounded almost exactly like Rob Cavallo (I thought) – way back Red One said the base of Adam’s music would be “Rock” and that they were creating a new sound which was Adam to introduce to the world (or something like that)- Rob Cavallo said very similar things – at least that is how it struck me.

IDF seems pretty sure “Aftermath” is the one written by Adam, Ferras, Alisan, Ely Rise and produced by Howard Benson.

I am not worried that Adam won’t have a lot of song credits, I think it’s more important to be involved in the production phase and push the envelope there.

I’m confused. If Adam’s team (that’s what they called it in EW, anyway) has already decided on the tracks, why aren’t we getting that? If they haven’t, with the release date being just under a month from today, isn’t it late to still be in the under consideration mode? It makes sense not to release the first single–TfM does not count as that–due, nonetheless, to the TII and 2012 tie-in, alas–but at least give us the tracks listing! Is this more Adam Storm methods, i.e., keep the buzz going till the last possible second? I don’t think so, but I don’t know.

Thanks for linking that tubey hwc. You have introduced me to a band I have never heard and I really really like that guitar work! Woot! (Plus, to me, that song sure had a Queen sound and I flove Queen.) Knowing that Justin Hawkins is playing guitar on the album really puts me into flailing mode!!

Boy, Rock Star Weekly is working it for our boy. They are giving him some rock cred IMHO by keeping up with his career and reporting on it !

He co-wrote “Strut” and “Loaded Smile” and Greg Wells is quoted as saying he’s a good writer in Details. There are a lot of other songs we don’t know about. He’s recorded nearly thirty.

Also, we don’t know who wrote “Winners” or “Suburban Decay.” Rob Cavallo produced them, but I don’t think he’s a songwriter.

I think the timing is fine – Kris’s track list just leaked, and hadn’t they just decided on the final songs for his last week – so that means Adam did it a week later – decided the tracks on Friday, but they’re not revealed yet (may not be until next friday?)

I LOVE the names of these possible tracks – I’ll keep saying it (said it before) – but they just sound so ADAM – love it!

(I’m a huge Adam fan by the way and I say this tongue in cheek ..lol)

I think we’ve always known that Adam isn’t really a singer/songwriter at the moment .. it’s a great talent to have but there are plenty of successful artists who make a career out of singing other people’s songs really well.

And as for the writing issue – I’ll put in my 2 cents that I just want the BEST songs – I couldn’t care less who writes them! I’ve never cared much about who writes songs (other than the writer getting credit, of course) – but as for the finished product, the singer hardly needs to always be the person who wrote the song.

One thing no one will ever say about Adam is that he doesn’t work hard. Photoshoots ,vid shoot at somewhat the 11th hour, the tour, all of the recording he’s done accommodating other peeps schedules. Yes it is stuff he’s worked toward, but it is energy draining to be creative in many different ways both during and after the tour. Yes he’s been the beneficiary of top rate talent — all universally positive about his talent–

It’s not a rumored tracklisting, it’s only a list of songs that Adam is known to have recorded so far. It’s just a list that some fans have put together by collecting info from different articles and other sources, like Twitter. I think the only songs on this list that are for sure on the cd are the ones Lyndsey Parker from Yahoo listened to…”Entertainment,” “Music Again,” and “Winners.”

Yes – this was my take too. Given so little time to get the album ready, I’m more than happy to have other song writers give him material, but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Adam did some co-writing by making suggestions about the melody, lyrics, etc. and making tweeks along the way.

He has some of the most amazing musical instincts of anyone I’ve ever heard – I imagine he could just get in the studio and make something up on the spot that could be brilliant (in terms of changing up the original song a bit).

It was part of a thread on IDF where people are tracking the know info about the songs Adam recorded and someone put forward their personal guess of which of the known songs would make the album. Only the tracks with ** were identified as probably being on the album based on press reports.

Well, it was posted without credit here in comments, that’s where I picked it up.

Nothing on that list is super-secret or original information. It was nice to be able to cut and paste it instead of trolling through my posts to find it. But 99% of it was stuff I’ve reported on in the past.

I would not have posted the info without a second source.

I re-wrote the post a bit, giving credit to Idol forums.

I never saw this behind the scenes video either….The part I found most interesting was Adam saying the Song TFM was written exclusively for the movie 2012 which would make it eligible for Academy Award nomination. Just saying….. (yippeeeeee)

Wow! Last time I lived in Pompano Beach, Boca was right up the road, Ft. Lauderdale was right down the road, and Miami was just a little further south.

Who knew? I guess a hurricane blew Boca right from the Atlantic Coast to the Gulf! Somebody better tell Google Maps.

Adam is on the path to greatness. I really wish they had written a song for him something close to Queen’s LOve of My Life or Who Wants to Live Forever. That would be awesome. Not to disparage Freddie, but I think Adam has got a more solid and powerful voice than him.

With songwriters and record producers seemingly falling over each other to work with Adam , there should be a deep reservoir of exceptional songs that they can consider as possible sales hits.

It will not matter whether Adam composed the melody or worked on the lyrics, what matters is that they have brewed a strong batch and will have great many choices.This means I am going to get the very best -such a precious debut album !

I am following Adam’s career as first and foremost he has exceptional vocals.An instrument that makes a song come to life and makes me ,the listener. partake in the drama. the emotions or the fun of the song.

Hopefully by first week of November the lead single from the album is released – the precursor of Adam’s new sound.

The Amazon page lists “Coldwater” as the record label, which could be “Coldwater Music” which is Linda Perry’s company, or it could also be “Coldwater Recording Studio Cleveland” or something completely unrelated.

This is pathetic, but at the same time it’s kind of funny. Most musicians wait a lifetime to have a record company release their songs. Adam is going to be on three different albums and he has yet to release his first single. These people are parasites and want to profit off of Adam’s newfound fame. I wonder if Adam and RCA knew they were going to release this.

Boca Raton is a well-known place. It’s always been on the east coast of florida. There is no Boca Raton on the Gulf Coast. Never has been.

So that album is ‘take one’, the very first, and FYE is just the second take? what a bunch of disgraceful. Guess the increased sales of ‘want’ benefited from TFM fuels them to release the whole album.

I so agree with this. If Adam was so worried about sticking with his sound, he’d still be an understudy in Wicked and recording demos.

Regarding Monte’s tweet… and so it begins… could he be talking about promotion? We know that Adam can’t perform his new single until the AMA’a, but maybe they are planning for him to sing TFM live for promotion before that date.

I will love hearing him sing TFM and can’t wait for his new single. He is always great when he performs. His music and his voice is exciting, and I can’t wait to see him getting it out there.

I believe this credit was added later — after the article was copied by a number of other blog and eventually by Rock Star Weekly. But this same list is in a number of places on the Web without any credit to IDF. Most added the credit later when they found out the source.
