there is a post on you-tube: adam lambert simon picks one by u2 for adam lambert”.
it is very clear that adam says “i just got a text from simon”, a gentleman hands him a mic, and then he says “it’s one by u2″.
so that might help clear things up.
i just recruited two teen-agers with at&t who do nothing but text so i’m going to give them the numbers on tuesday……just doing what i can.

Yes, “Wicked Game” has the same haunting melody as “Mad World”. Adam should be amazing on that. The problem with “One” is that it is a song that goes nowhere – it never builds – it has no moment.

Just listened to the U2 & MJ Blige duet version on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhCcdLwGeA0 and this has got to be the version (with a few Adam twists) for Adam. It gives you a flavour of how fabulous Adam could make it. Ladies line up for the pool of abdul seats!

Oh, good God, I posted at 2:23 pm yesterday, before we had any announcements, that if I could choose for Adam, I would choose “Wicked Game,” and 4 million posts later we still don’t know if he’s singing that or not?

Oh, Simon, I clearly underestimated your interest in this season. You not only actually gave the song selection some thought, you’re having a very good time playing your own little wicked game with us. Is he doing a little market research with the two-song confusion? Terribly unfair to Kris and Danny if he is.

And as much as I’d love for “Wicked Game” to be the pick, I think “One” is also an excellent choice. If I were Adam, I’d sing them both and bag whatever I chose for myself. He can always sing that next week. Cook did that with “The World I Know,” and it worked out pretty damn well for him!

(Damn, it’s hard to edit your post when they’re are 1,100 preceding yours! How many before the site crashes????)

Elsewhere on the internet someone is reporting that it’s “One” that they have the clearance issues with. Either way, I hope it’s settled soon for Adam’s sake. He should get as much time to prepare as everyone else.

And that would be one of the most disgusting examples of favoritism to date. No one should be given the luxury of being given a choice when itÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s never been done before. If he is just playing games, why? Does Adam actually need more buzz leading up to Tuesday? Somehow I doubt it.

There’s no way Adam was actually given two song choices and everyone else only one. I was just thinking about ways Simon could twist things around, but I wasn’t really serious.

Hi Koyumi!! Did you get to listen to his Radio interview. He mentioned of Japanese animation as part of his answer when they asked him about his hair. LOL. They are totally digging him.

I would also do the same next wed – staking out in front of the pc. Can’t wait to get a full two songs from him!!
