Adam Lambert goes reggae! The season 8 Idol alum covered “Is This Love” at the Take 40 Lounge in Sydney, Australia today.

Adam is down under promoting his latest album, Trespassing. He’ll be a guest on the morning TV show, Sunrise on Friday.

    There’s a video with the intro where Adam said he was just listening to it. Maybe on the plane? I don’t think singing it was anyone’s idea but his. When he did the now famous WLL at Fantasy Springs, he thought of that in the car while driving from LA to Indio! LOL!

     I haven’t seen the intro part to this but I’m sure a lot of these things are his idea or he throws it out there and plays with it and gets suggestions. He clearly likes to try new things and gets bored. That WLL at Fantasy Springs is still one of my all time favorites. There is also a very short clip of him sound checking WLL for an out door festival for GN tour. He stopped the band and talked about how he wasn’t feeling the something (think he called it the pocket). Regardless he was able to communicate it to his band and they played it again and you could hear/feel the difference (the beat was a little different).

     I’m convinced he is both a very creative person (lot’s of ideas) and has a strong innate sense of musicality. It’s no wonder he burned out on musical theater. Even if he started getting all leading roles he would not have been happy because you have to stick to the script and do it the same way night after night.

    But, in the future, whoever takes video, please keep Issac either in or out the frame. I wondered what the heck he was pumping until I could see the bongo. (I think.)  LOL.   I love his band!

    Agree that the idea to do this song was entirely Adam’s.  Brian London deserves credit for helping him to actually do it.

    I am a fan of one of the most talented artist of this era, who is a total wonder! 

    You can give me all the numbers, sales figures or whatever but he is pure talent and his voice is pure joy!

    Late to the party, but just wanted to say that I LOVED Adam’s take on Is This Love.  Superb. He infused it with so much happiness and joy that it was totally infectious and made me happy just to hear and watch him sing it.

    I’ve been listening to this off and on all day! I wish it was available to purchase.  Between the Queenbert spectacular shows, his amazing TP album, and all previous presentations of pure LOVE, I’ve never felt this
    in love with any singer in my entire life.  This is a wonderful lift of spirits, a vacation for the soul! Please Adam make it available!!! We love you! Your voice, your stage personality, everything-the whole enchalatta!
